    I have this in my Rails controller: def download_clip send_file "public/output.mp4", :type=>"video/mp4", :filename => "output.mp4", :disposition => 'attachment' end and in my HTML code I have this: <a href="download_clip/"></a> Now could somebody tell me why Firefox's download window will NOT pou up, but chrome downloads the file fine? Instead firefox opens a new window and starts playing the file. I WANT THE DOWNLOAD BOX to POPUP. I have spend too much time on it

  • How to properly force a Blackberry Java application to install using Loader.exe

    I want to include the Application Loader process in a software installation, to ensure that users get our software installed on their Blackberry by the time our installer software finishes. I know this is possible, because Aerize Card Loader (http://aerize.com/blackberry/software/loader/) does this. When you install their software, if your Blackberry is connected the Application Loader will come up and force the .COD file to install to the device. I can't make it work. Looking at RIM's own documentation, I need to: Place the ALX and COD files into a subfolder here: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Applications\ Add a path to the ALX file in HKCU\Software\Research In Motion\Blackberry\Loader\Packages Index the application, by executing this at the command line: loader.exe /index Start the force load, by doing this: loader.exe /defaultUSB /forceload When I execute that last command, the Application Loader comes up and says that all applications are up to date and nothing needs to be done. If I execute loader.exe by double-clicking on it (or typing in the command with no parameters), I get the regular Application Loader wizard. It shows my program as listed, but un-checked. If I check it and click next, it will install to the Blackberry. (This is the part that I want to avoid, and that Aerize Card Loader's install process avoids.) What am I missing? It appears that the Aerize installer is doing something different but I haven't been able to ascertain what.

  • Upgraded Eclipse. Every app force closes

    I would be really grateful for some urgent advice:- I was merrily building my apps (using eclipse) for Android platform 2.2. Everything all working lovely and ready to upload to the marketplace. I thought I would try to install Google Play Licensing and in the process, I was told to download the LVL but that was not available in my SDK download list - and I read I had to updrage my SDK and ADT to the latest. So I did, I now have: ADT 17.0.0 along with ANDROID DDMS, hierarchy viewer and Traceview at 17.0.0 with Eclipse IDE 1.4.2 And I also upgraded my SDK Android 2.2 stuff to the latest. Now:- I have no errors in my app workplaces on Eclipse. But now when I run the apps, they build but force close straight away upon loading. This includes the app I was working on (and working perfectly before) and all the other apps I have ever made. Every app now force closes and I dont know what to do. Been up all night and was ready to upload them to the market place... :( Any help!? Thanks! Please!

I know one of the sample applications is called jpetstore in spring 2.0. I did search in these folders and can't find anything useful. By the way, I also download the basic release which is spring-framework-3.0.2.RELEASE.zip. In the readme.txt of the basic release I found the following text: GETTING STARTED Please consult the blog examples at http://blog.springsource.com as well as the sections of interest in the reference documentation. Sample applications and related material will be provided as separate downloads. But I still don't know where to download the sample applications. Anyone can help? Thanks in advance.

  • Force RAID to read "exiled" disk?

    We have a RAID 6 array (Infortrend EonStor DS S16F) that recently had two disks fail. Immediately prior to replacing these two disks, a third, good, disk was accidentally ejected from the array. After reinserting this disk it is marked as "exiled" by the array's firmware, and so even after replacing the two failed disks with new ones the array refuses to rebuild the logical volume and remains inaccessible. Since the temporarily-ejected disk is still functional and nothing has been written to the array since it was ejected, it seems that it should theoretically be possible to recover all the data on the array, but how can we convince the array to use the data from the "exiled" disk? Thanks for any help or advice you can offer.

  • Disable reverse PTR check in Zimbra and force accept from invalid domains

    I've moved an older Sendmail/Dovecot system to a Zimbra community edition system. I need to be able to receive messages from certain standalone Linux hosts that may not have valid A records or proper reverse DNS entries established (e.g. AT&T is the ISP or systems sitting on a consumer-level ISP). Establishing the reverse DNS or setting a SMARTHOST is not an option. The error I get in zimbra.log is: zimbra postfix/smtp[2200]: DB83B231B53: to=<root@host_name.baddomain.com>, relay=none, delay=0.07, delays=0.06/0/0/0, dsn=5.4.4, status=bounced (Host or domain name not found. Name service error for name=host_name.baddomain.com type=A: Host not found How can I override this? Is this more of a Postfix issue or is it Zimbra? edit - The problem seems to be with an underscore in the hostname of the server. So it's a problem with root@host_name.baddomain.com. Again, how can I override this in Zimbra?

  • Clearing Java certificates cache (force reload certificates)

    A simple question here. One application gave me this exception when trying to access a website with a expired certificate: java.security.cert.CertificateExpiredException So, I renewed the certificated from the website machine and restarted it. When I try to access it from Firefox or Chrome it will load the new certificate (which it's expiration date is set somewhere near 2040). The problem is, Java applications doesn't seems to renew this certificate, it seems to be stuck in some kind of internal cache. I already tried to add it to the keystore and set options in the application properties like -Dcom.sun.net.ssl.checkRevocation=false. No matter what I do, it always throw me a java.security.cert.CertificateExpiredException Any ideas?

    So, the 'right' half of my pair of headphones broke (the transducer+wire are fine, but the earpiece broke on the headband and so the earpiece won't sit over my ear). So now the right channel is being broadcast to my cube neighbors when I wear my headphones. Yes, they look very silly. Is there a way to ensure, in Windows XP (or Windows Media Player), that all stereo sound is downmixed to the left channel only (ie, in mono) so my neighbors don't hear my music? I know that I can setup the mixer to set the balance to 100% left, but information in the right channel won't be heard.

    I am trying to run a local DNS server on my home computer so that I can both increase DNS lookups speed and reduce bandwidth use, so that both my laptop and my PC can do lookups faster. I have got BIND 9 running very smoothly, there is only one simple problem, and that being the fact that BIND is not a persistent DNS cache, and if I restart its service, the whole cash would be wiped out. So, is there a way that I could make BIND9 keep its cache after system restart? Also, which one is better Unbound or BIND? Which one would you suggest? Does Unbound DNS have a persistent cache or can it be enabled?

    So I got a dying Western Digital hard drive here and I have a new Western Digital hard drive to transfer all the data to. I have the new HDD hooked up by a SATA to USB. I want to transfer all the pictures, etc to the new HDD. I am unable to because of the CRC error. I have ran chkdsk /f /r and it didnt work because the drive is just simply dying.     I am deploying using Capistrano to a new server and having the following issue. Currently, I cannot add an SSH key to the server to log in with so I must use password authentication. However, I do have a key for another server saved in my local user account's .ssh directory. Here is the error I get when I try to log in: C:\Web\CampMaRabu>cap deploy:setup * executing `deploy:setup' * executing "mkdir -p /home2/webapp1 /home2/webapp1/releases /home2/webapp1/shared /home2/webapp1/shared/system /home2/webapp1/shared/log /home2/webapp1/shared/pids" servers: ["myserver.example.com"] connection failed for: myserver.example.com (OpenSSL::PKey::PKeyError: not a public key "C:/Users/MyAccount/.ssh/id_rsa.pub") How can I get Capistrano to ignore the existence of the key I have and let me log in with a password instead? I tried adding set :password, "myp@ssw0rd" to deploy.rb and it didn't help.

  • EC2 Ubuntu - Force instance to use internal IP

    I've just set up a micro instance on EC2 (AMI ID ami-e59ca991). I had hoped to avoid charges for a year as my usage falls well within the bound of the free tier. I have been charged $0.01 for "regional data transfer". I read here that this is because my instance is talking to its self via it's external IP address. From what I've Googled it looks like you can stop the charges by making sure that the instance uses its internal IP address. However, when I ping the hostname of my instance internally (via an ssh session) it resolves to the instances internal IP address. How can I configure my instance so that I do not get these charges? Is it as simple as adding a line to my hosts file? Additionally, is this the real reason for the charge? I'm concerned that I've misunderstood the pricing somewhere. I have Apace and MySQL (with phpmyadmin) running on the machine - could I be being charged for data transfer associated with these (I have only one flat HTML page and I have only logged in via phpmyadmin - I have no data in my database). Edit: Additionally, my user account on MySQL was declared as: grant all privileges on *.* to 'peter'@'localhost'; Should I have instead used the internal hostname for the instance? grant all privileges on *.* to '[email protected]'; Cheers, Pete

    I have Linux server running about 6 game servers. I have 3 GB total of RAM but I use only about 500 MB. Is there a way to cache one of my game servers (all the files - even not actually used maps etc. - about 1,5 GB) to RAM?     BES 4.1.6 Blackberry 8300 (curve) Hi guys, I've noticed that handhelds will typically only retrieve the first few KB and then prompt the user to manually retrieve more (or auto-retrieve if they scroll down). The problem is that I have a BB app that needs to see the entire message all at once on the first initial time it's opened.     After downloading this file: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/315/hon/hon_update.exe before it actually copies to my computer I get this error: File Access Denied <title of box> You need permission to perform this action. You require permission from the computer's administrator to make changes to this file. Within this box are to buttons: Try Again or Cancel I have searched other similar "permission" type questions, but they seem to all refer to existing files or folders. How do I give permission to a file which doesn't exist yet? (since it is in the process of downloading and hasn't finally copied over yet) I am running Windows 7 64 bit. I would be happy to supply any other information to help clarify.

    I would like to setup an binding from an IP address to a MAC address using netsh. Goal is to bond an IP address which is a multicast address (224.224.x.y) to a given MAC address (which is NOT the calculated one from the multicast IP address : 01:00:5e:X:Y:Z It used to work with Windows XP (was it a bug that used to be "perfect" for my needs?), but Windows 7/8/8.1 forces the MAC address to the calculated one instead of letting me put what I want! (http://nettools.aqwnet.com/ipmaccalc/ipmaccalc.php shows MAC address calculation for multicast IP address) Thus I'm doing the following. Listing existing mappings: netsh.exe interface ip show neighbors "Ethernet" Interface 12 : Ethernet Internet address Physical address Type 224.0.0.22 01-00-5e-XX-YY-ZZ static Then adding my interface mapping manually: netsh.exe interface ip add neighbors "Ethernet" "224.xxx.yyy.zzz" "00-80-EE-UU-VV-WW" Finally, listing again my mappings: netsh.exe interface ip show neighbors "Ethernet" Interface 12 : Ethernet Internet address Physical address Type 224.0.0.22 01-00-5e-XX-YY-ZZ static **224.xxx.yyy.zzz 01-00-5e-UU-VV-WW static** As you can see, the MAC Address of the second entry (the one I just made) has been dynamically replaced by the calculated MAC Address corresponding to my IP Address... Calculation is done as follow (and displayed in hexa): UU=(xxx-128) VV=yyy WW=zzz But I don't want that behavior.     I use Microsoft Security Essentials as my antivirus on my Win7 box. New virus definitions to Security Essentials are installed using Windows Update. However, the updates are marked as optional by default, as opposed to important which means that they don't get installed automatically. I have to select the updates from the list of optional updates and install them manually. Is there a way to change this behavior so that new definitions are marked as important and installed automatically?
