  • Segmentation fault, shared library

    - by user1306184
    I get Segmentation Fault when I try to run my program. Can someone please help me find out what Im doing wrong? Compiling with this: g++ sms_out.cpp -o sms_out g++ -c -fPIC SMSDispatch.cpp g++ -shared SMSDispatch.o -o libSMSDispatch.so It should be a shared library and dynamic linking. I get Segmentation Fault when I try to run sms_out. //sms_out.cpp #include <iostream> #include<cstdlib> #include<fstream> #include<sstream> #include<string> #include "SMSDispatch.h" using namespace std; string sms = ""; void sendSMS(string sms) { SMSDispatch* sPtr=0; sPtr->sendSMS(sms); } int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { if(argv[1]) { string input = argv[1]; string test = "--author"; if(input == test) { cout << "s149113" << endl; return 0; } } string line = ""; string file = "sms_out.txt"; ifstream myfile(file.c_str()); while(getline(myfile, line)) { string idnr, landcode, number, error; istringstream linestream(line); unsigned short errorcode; //Split the sentence getline(linestream, idnr, '\t'); getline(linestream, landcode, ':'); getline(linestream, number, '\t'); getline(linestream, error); if(idnr == "") break; //Make string to int try { errorcode = atoi(error.c_str() ); } catch (exception &) { } //Put together landcode and tlfnumber string nr = landcode + number; string txt = "Thank you for your vote!"; if(errorcode == 100) txt = "Invalid question, please try again"; else if(errorcode == 110) txt = "Sorry, only one vote pr. number"; else if(errorcode == 200) txt = "Invalid alternative, please try again"; else if(errorcode == 300) txt = "Missing a statement after other, please try again"; else if(errorcode == 999) txt = "An error occurred, please try again"; sms += "{\"ID\":" + idnr + ",\"nr\":" + nr + ",\"txt\":" + "\"" + txt + "\"" + "}\n"; } cout << sms << endl; sendSMS(sms); } //SMSDispatch.h #include <string> #ifndef SMSDISPATCH_H #define SMSDISPATCH_H using namespace std; class SMSDispatch{ public: virtual void sendSMS(string json); }; #endif //SMSDispatch.cpp #include <iostream> #include <fstream> #include "SMSDispatch.h" using namespace std; /*virtual*/void SMSDispatch::sendSMS(string json) { ofstream myfile; myfile.open ("sms_out.log"); myfile << json; myfile.close(); } int main() { }

  • Qt Object Linker Problem " undefined reverence to vtable"

    - by Thomas
    This is my header: #ifndef BARELYSOCKET_H #define BARELYSOCKET_H #include <QObject> //! The First Draw of the BarelySocket! class BarelySocket: public QObject { Q_OBJECT public: BarelySocket(); public slots: void sendMessage(Message aMessage); signals: void reciveMessage(Message aMessage); private: // QVector<Message> reciveMessages; }; #endif // BARELYSOCKET_H This is my class: #include <QTGui> #include <QObject> #include "type.h" #include "client.h" #include "server.h" #include "barelysocket.h" BarelySocket::BarelySocket() { //this->reciveMessages.clear(); qDebug("BarelySocket::BarelySocket()"); } void BarelySocket::sendMessage(Message aMessage) { } void BarelySocket::reciveMessage(Message aMessage) { } I get the Linker Problem : undefined reference to 'vtable for barelySocket' This should mean, i have a virtual Function not implemented. But as you can see, there is non. I comment the vector cause that should solve the Problem, but i does not. The Message is a complex struct, but even converting it to int did not solve it. I searched Mr G but he could not help me. Thank you for your support, Thomas

  • Using SDL2_gfx issues using C++

    - by Lance Zimmerman
    When I use the it with the common.c /common.h files that come with it, if I use the cpp instead of c extension using VS201X I get the LNK2019: unresolved external symbol _SDL_main What that means is if I change the file containing main to test.c it compiles. When I change it back to text.cpp it fails to compile. I think that means it only works as a C compile. Here is the code I copied from SDL2_gfxPrimitives.c. (Spaces added so they would show up.) #include < stdio.h> #include < stdlib.h> #include < string.h> #include < math.h> #include < time.h> #include "common.h" #include "SDL2_gfxPrimitives.h" static CommonState *state; int main(int argc, char* argv[]) { /* Initialize test framework */ state = CommonCreateState(argv, SDL_INIT_VIDEO); return 1; } I need to use the library in C++ but it seems I don't know enough to figure out how. Any help would be appreciated, I've spent two days attempting to figure this out.

  • QT: custom widget in QScrollArea

    - by slimscsi
    I am attempting to create a custom widget. My Widget renders itself unless it is inside a scroll area. The code below works. If I change the if(0) to an if(1) inside the MainWindow constructor, it will not render the "Hello World" string. I assume that I must (re)implement some additional methods, but so far I have not been able to find the correct ones with trial and error. // hellowidget.h #ifndef HELLOWIDGET_H #define HELLOWIDGET_H #include <QtGui> class HelloWidget : public QWidget { Q_OBJECT public: HelloWidget(QWidget *parent = 0); void paintEvent(QPaintEvent *event); }; #endif // HELLOWIDGET_H // hellowidget.cpp #include "hellowidget.h" HelloWidget::HelloWidget(QWidget *parent) : QWidget(parent) { } void HelloWidget::paintEvent(QPaintEvent *event) { QPainter painter(this); painter.drawText(rect(), Qt::AlignCenter, "Hello World"); } // mainwindow.h #ifndef MAINWINDOW_H #define MAINWINDOW_H #include <QtGui> class MainWindow : public QMainWindow { Q_OBJECT public: MainWindow(QWidget *parent = 0); ~MainWindow(); private: }; #endif // MAINWINDOW_H // mainwindow.cpp #include "mainwindow.h" #include "hellowidget.h" MainWindow::MainWindow(QWidget *parent) : QMainWindow(parent) { HelloWidget *hello = new HelloWidget; QWidget *central = hello; if( 0 ) { QScrollArea *scroll = new QScrollArea ; scroll->setWidget(hello); central = scroll; } setCentralWidget( central ); } MainWindow::~MainWindow() { } // main.cpp #include <QtGui/QApplication> #include "mainwindow.h" int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { QApplication a(argc, argv); MainWindow w; w.show(); return a.exec(); }

  • Boost Spirit and Lex parser problem

    - by bpw1621
    I've been struggling to try and (incrementally) modify example code from the documentation but with not much different I am not getting the behavior I expect. Specifically, the "if" statement fails when (my intent is that) it should be passing (there was an "else" but that part of the parser was removed during debugging). The assignment statement works fine. I had a "while" statement as well which had the same problem as the "if" statement so I am sure if I can get help to figure out why one is not working it should be easy to get the other going. It must be kind of subtle because this is almost verbatim what is in one of the examples. #include <iostream> #include <fstream> #include <string> #define BOOST_SPIRIT_DEBUG #include <boost/config/warning_disable.hpp> #include <boost/spirit/include/qi.hpp> #include <boost/spirit/include/lex_lexertl.hpp> #include <boost/spirit/include/phoenix_operator.hpp> #include <boost/spirit/include/phoenix_statement.hpp> #include <boost/spirit/include/phoenix_container.hpp> namespace qi = boost::spirit::qi; namespace lex = boost::spirit::lex; inline std::string read_from_file( const char* infile ) { std::ifstream instream( infile ); if( !instream.is_open() ) { std::cerr << "Could not open file: \"" << infile << "\"" << std::endl; exit( -1 ); } instream.unsetf( std::ios::skipws ); return( std::string( std::istreambuf_iterator< char >( instream.rdbuf() ), std::istreambuf_iterator< char >() ) ); } template< typename Lexer > struct LangLexer : lex::lexer< Lexer > { LangLexer() { identifier = "[a-zA-Z][a-zA-Z0-9_]*"; number = "[-+]?(\\d*\\.)?\\d+([eE][-+]?\\d+)?"; if_ = "if"; else_ = "else"; this->self = lex::token_def<> ( '(' ) | ')' | '{' | '}' | '=' | ';'; this->self += identifier | number | if_ | else_; this->self( "WS" ) = lex::token_def<>( "[ \\t\\n]+" ); } lex::token_def<> if_, else_; lex::token_def< std::string > identifier; lex::token_def< double > number; }; template< typename Iterator, typename Lexer > struct LangGrammar : qi::grammar< Iterator, qi::in_state_skipper< Lexer > > { template< typename TokenDef > LangGrammar( const TokenDef& tok ) : LangGrammar::base_type( program ) { using boost::phoenix::val; using boost::phoenix::ref; using boost::phoenix::size; program = +block; block = '{' >> *statement >> '}'; statement = assignment | if_stmt; assignment = ( tok.identifier >> '=' >> expression >> ';' ); if_stmt = ( tok.if_ >> '(' >> expression >> ')' >> block ); expression = ( tok.identifier[ qi::_val = qi::_1 ] | tok.number[ qi::_val = qi::_1 ] ); BOOST_SPIRIT_DEBUG_NODE( program ); BOOST_SPIRIT_DEBUG_NODE( block ); BOOST_SPIRIT_DEBUG_NODE( statement ); BOOST_SPIRIT_DEBUG_NODE( assignment ); BOOST_SPIRIT_DEBUG_NODE( if_stmt ); BOOST_SPIRIT_DEBUG_NODE( expression ); } qi::rule< Iterator, qi::in_state_skipper< Lexer > > program, block, statement; qi::rule< Iterator, qi::in_state_skipper< Lexer > > assignment, if_stmt; typedef boost::variant< double, std::string > expression_type; qi::rule< Iterator, expression_type(), qi::in_state_skipper< Lexer > > expression; }; int main( int argc, char** argv ) { typedef std::string::iterator base_iterator_type; typedef lex::lexertl::token< base_iterator_type, boost::mpl::vector< double, std::string > > token_type; typedef lex::lexertl::lexer< token_type > lexer_type; typedef LangLexer< lexer_type > LangLexer; typedef LangLexer::iterator_type iterator_type; typedef LangGrammar< iterator_type, LangLexer::lexer_def > LangGrammar; LangLexer lexer; LangGrammar grammar( lexer ); std::string str( read_from_file( 1 == argc ?   • stat() get group name is root

    - by mengmenger
    I have a file src.tar.gz whoes owner and group are named "src". When I run test.c compiled with name "test" (permission: -rwsr-xr-x owner:root group:staff) The way I run it: I am running it as group member under "src" group. But I run "test" as root since "test" permission is -rwsr-xr-x Question: Why did result come out like this? is the src.tar.gz group should be "src"? Output: Error: my group: src Error: src.tar.gz group is root test.c #include <stdio.h> #include <stdlib.h> #include <unistd.h> #include <string.h> #include <sys/types.h> #include <sys/stat.h> #include <grp.h> void main(int ac, char **args) { const char *ERR_MSG_FORMAT = "%s: %s %s.\n"; char *ptr_source_file = "src.tar.gz"; struct stat src_stat; gid_t src_gid, my_gid; int i = stat(ptr_source_file, &src_stat); my_gid = getgid(); struct group *cur_gr = getgrgid(my_gid); fprintf(stderr, ERR_MSG_FORMAT, "Error", "my group: ", cur_gr->gr_name); src_gid = src_stat.st_gid; struct group *src_gr = getgrgid(src_gid); fprintf(stderr, ERR_MSG_FORMAT, "Error","src.tar.gz group is ", src_gr->gr_name); }

  • C++ classes with members referencing each other

    - by Saad Imran.
    I'm trying to write 2 classes with members that reference each other. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or it's just not possible. Can anyone help me out here... Source.cpp #include "Headers.h" using namespace std; void main() { Network* network = new Network(); system("pause"); return; } Headers.h #ifndef Headers_h #define Headers_h #include <iostream> #include <vector> #include "Network.h" #include "Router.h" #endif Network.h #include "Headers.h" class Network { protected: vector<Router> Routers; }; Router.h #include "Headers.h" class Router { protected: Network* network; public: }; The errors I'm getting are: error C2143: syntax error : missing ';' before '<' error C2238: unexpected token(s) preceding ';' error C4430: missing type specifier - int assumed. I'm pretty sure I'm not missing any semicolons or stuff like that. The program works find if I take out one of the members. I tried finding similar questions and the solution was to use pointers, but that's what I'm doing and it does't seem to be working!

  • Something is wrong with my C++ compilers [on hold]

    - by Karol Turbiarz
    WARNING!!! IT IS C++ but it uses domath ant rootBase LIBRARY, SOE I CAN MAKE SQARE ROOTS, AND OTHEr STUFF LIKE SIN, COS!!!!!! #include <iostream> #include <cstdio> #include <h.2> #include <time> #include <math> #include <domath> #include <rootBase> Then my code doesn't have any error (by the way I'm doing scientific calculator with squared root, line graphing, sin, cos, etc..) but then ... My debbuger finds problem here: if(math1 !== math2); MathCouldNotReadVoid2(); Which goes to void: void MathCouldNotReadVoid2(); { if(math1 ==! (math3 - math2)) { float decimalpoint(); using namespace std; using namespace fc; SquaredRoot(); float SquaredRootExponents(0.07839947388); float SquaredRootExponentFormForRootFormula((SquaredRootExponents *==)+ PiV); float SqRootFormulaStepOnePISHORTCUT(>=3.14'>DoMath<'<=7.2 * FgYt2 + 7.1107); } else main(); } That's the only one of my couple steps, for SquaredRoot, but it doesn't define the "=3.14'DoMath<'<=7.2*FgYt2+7.1107" step. I know some people may not know this type of "command" from the 'rootBase' library, but maybe some of you may know... Please help...Thanks.

  • Consulting a Prolog Source Code from within a VS2008 Solution File

    I have a Prolog file (Hanoi.pl) containing the code for solving the Hanoi Towers puzzle: hanoi( N ):- move( N, left, middle, right ). move( 0, _, _, _ ):- !. move( N, A, B, C ):- M is N-1, move( M, A, C, B ), inform( A, B ), move( M, C, B, A ). inform( X, Y ):- write( 'move a disk from ' ), write( X ), write( ' to ' ), writeln( Y ). I also have a C++ file written in VS2008 IDE: #include <iostream> #include <string> #include <stdio.h> #include <stdlib.h> using namespace std; #include "SWI-cpp.h" #include "SWI-Prolog.h" predicate_t phanoi; term_t t0; int main(int argc, char** argv) { long n = 5; int rval; if ( !PL_initialise(1, argv) ) PL_halt(1); PL_put_integer( t0, n ); phanoi = PL_predicate( "hanoi", 1, NULL ); rval = PL_call_predicate( NULL, PL_Q_NORMAL, phanoi, t0 ); system( "PAUSE" ); } How can I consult my Prolog source code (Hanoi.pl) from within my C++ code? Not from the Command Prompt - from the code, something like include or consult or compile? It is located in the same folder as my cpp file. Thanks,

  • How do I refactor code into a subroutine but allow for early exit?

    - by deworde
    There's a really obvious refactoring opportunity in this (working) code. bool Translations::compatibleNICodes(const Rule& rule, const std::vector<std::string>& nicodes) { bool included = false; // Loop through the ni codes. for(std::vector<std::string> iter = nicodes.begin(); iter != nicodes.end(); ++iter) { // Match against the ni codes of the rule if(rule.get_ni1() == *iter) { // If there's a match, check if the rule is include or exclude const std::string flag = rule.get_op1(); // If include, code is included unless a later rule excludes it if(flag == "INCLUDE"){ included = true; } // If exclude, code is specifically excluded else if(flag == "EXCLUDE"){ return false; } } if(rule.get_ni2() == *iter) { const std::string flag = rule.get_op2(); if(flag == "INCLUDE"){ included = true; } else if(flag == "EXCLUDE"){ return false; } } if(rule.get_ni3() == *iter) { const std::string flag = rule.get_op3(); if(flag == "INCLUDE"){ included = true; } else if(flag == "EXCLUDE"){ return false; } } if(rule.get_ni4() == *iter) { const std::string flag = rule.get_op4(); if(flag == "INCLUDE"){ included = true; } else if(flag == "EXCLUDE"){ return false; } } if(rule.get_ni5() == *iter) { const std::string flag = rule.get_op5(); if(flag == "INCLUDE"){ included = true; } else if(flag == "EXCLUDE"){ return false; } } } return included; } The problem is that I can't get around the problem that I want to exit early if it's an exclude statement. Note that I can't change the structure of the Rule class. Any advice?

  • [C++] Multiple inclusion in multiple files

    - by Amumu
    Hi everyone, I am making a small game. In BattleRecord.h: #ifndef _CHARACTER_H_ #define _CHARACTER_H_ #include "Character.h" #endif class BattleRecord { public: Character Attacker; Character Defender; Status status; int DamageDealt; int GoldEarned; int ExpGained; }; In Character.h: #ifndef _EQUIPMENT_H_ #define _EQUIPMENT_H_ #include "Equipment.h" #endif class BattleRecord; class Character { BattleRecord AttackEnemy(Character &Enemy); } In BattleRecord.h: #ifndef _CHARACTER_H_ #define _CHARACTEr_H_ #include "Character.h" #endif #ifndef _BATLE_RECORD_H_ #define _BATLE_RECORD_H_ #include "BattleRecord.h" #endif class GUI { public: //GUI Methods, and two of these: void ViewStats(Character &Player); void Report(BattleRecord Record) } The problem here is, my Character.h and BattleRecord.h need to include each other, and this definitely will cause multiple redefinition problem. Therefore, I used forward declaration in Character.h by adding: class BattleRecord; The problem is sovled. But then, the GUI.h needs BattleRecord.h again for reporting the battle, so I have to include BattleRecord.h into the GUI.h. I also have to include the Character.h in order to pass into the ViewStat function. I got error and stuck with this up to this piont.

  • Proper QUuid usage in Qt ? (7-Zip DLL usage problems (QLibrary, QUuid GUID conversion, interfaces))

    - by whipsnap
    Hi, I'm trying to write a program that would use 7-Zip DLL for reading files from inside archive files (7z, zip etc). Here's where I'm so far: #include QtCore/QCoreApplication #include QLibrary #include QUuid #include iostream using namespace std; #include "7z910/CPP/7zip/Archive/IArchive.h" #include "7z910/CPP/7zip/IStream.h" #include "MyCom.h" // {23170F69-40C1-278A-1000-000110070000} QUuid CLSID_CFormat7z(0x23170F69, 0x40C1, 0x278A, 0x10, 0x00, 0x00, 0x01, 0x10, 0x07, 0x00, 0x00); typedef int (*CreateObjectFunc)( const GUID *clsID, const GUID *interfaceID, void **outObject); void readFileInArchive() { QLibrary myLib("7z.dll"); CreateObjectFunc myFunction = (CreateObjectFunc)myLib.resolve("CreateObject"); if (myFunction == 0) { cout outArchive; myFunction(&CLSID_CFormat7z, &IID_IOutArchive, (void **)&outArchive); } int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { QCoreApplication a(argc, argv); readFileInArchive(); return a.exec(); } Trying to build that in Qt Creator will lead to following error: cannot convert 'QUuid*' to 'const GUID*' in argument passing How should QUuid be correctly used in this context? Also, being a C++ and Qt newbie I haven't yet quite grasped templates or interfaces, so overall I'm having trouble getting through these first steps. If someone could give tips or even example code on how for example an image file could be extracted from ZIP file (to be shown in Qt GUI later on*), I would highly appreciate that. My main goal at the moment is to write a program with GUI for selecting archive files containing image files (PNG, JPG etc) and displaying those files one at a time in the GUI. A Qt based CDisplayEx in short.

  • c++ templates and inheritance

    - by Armen Ablak
    Hey, I'm experiencing some problems with breaking my code to reusable parts using templates and inheritance. I'd like to achieve that my tree class and avltree class use the same node class and that avltree class inherits some methods from the tree class and adds some specific ones. So I came up with the code below. Compiler throws an error in tree.h as marked below and I don't really know how to overcome this. Any help appreciated! :) node.h: #ifndef NODE_H #define NODE_H #include "tree.h" template <class T> class node { T data; ... node() ... friend class tree<T>; }; #endif tree.h #ifndef DREVO_H #define DREVO_H #include "node.h" template <class T> class tree { public: //signatures tree(); ... void insert(const T&); private: node<T> *root; //missing type specifier - int assumed. Note: C++ does not support default-int }; //implementations #endif avl.h #ifndef AVL_H #define AVL_H #include "tree.h" #include "node.h" template <class T> class avl: public tree<T> { public: //specific int findMin() const; ... protected: void rotateLeft(node<T> *)const; private: node<T> *root; }; #endif avl.cpp (I tried separating headers from implementation, it worked before I started to combine avl code with tree code) #include "drevo" #include "avl.h" #include "vozlisce.h" template class avl<int>; //I know that only avl with int can be used like this, but currently this is doesn't matter :) //implementations ...

  • How to access variables in shared memory

    - by user1723361
    I am trying to create a shared memory segment containing three integers and an array. The segment is created and a pointer is attached, but when I try to access the values of the variables (whether changing, printing, etc.) I get a segmentation fault. Here is the code I tried: #include <stdio.h> #include <stdbool.h> #include <stdlib.h> #include <errno.h> #include <sys/types.h> #include <sys/ipc.h> #include <sys/sem.h> #define SIZE 10 int* shm_front; int* shm_end; int* shm_count; int* shm_array; int shm_size = 3*sizeof(int) + sizeof(shm_array[SIZE]); int main(int argc, char* argsv[]) { int shmid; //create shared memory segment if((shmid = shmget(IPC_PRIVATE, shm_size, 0644)) == -1) { printf("error in shmget"); exit(1); } //obtain the pointer to the segment if((shm_front = (int*)shmat(shmid, (void *)0, 0)) == (void *)-1) { printf("error in shmat"); exit(1); } //move down the segment to set the other pointers shm_end = shm_front + 1; shm_count = shm_front + 2; shm_array = shm_front + 3; //tests on shm //*shm_end = 10; //gives segmentation fault //printf("\n%d", *shm_front); //gives segmentation fault //clean-up //get rid of shared memory shmdt(shm_front); shmctl(shmid, IPC_RMID, NULL); //printf("\n\n"); return 0; } I tried accessing the shared memory by dereferencing the pointer to the struct, but got a segmentation fault each time.

  • Variable modification in a child process

    - by teaLeef
    I am working on Bryant and O'Hallaron's Computer Systems, A Programmer's Perspective. Exercise 8.16 asks for the output of a program like (I changed it because they use a header file you can download on their website): #include <stdio.h> #include <stdlib.h> #include <sys/types.h> #include <sys/wait.h> #include <errno.h> #include <unistd.h> #include <string.h> int counter = 1; int main() { if (fork() == 0){ counter--; exit(0); } else{ Wait(NULL); printf("counter = %d\n", ++counter); } exit(0); } I answered "counter = 1" because the parent process waits for its children to terminate and then increments counter. But the child first decrements it. However, when I tested the program, I found that the correct answer was "counter = 2". Is the variable "counter" different in the child and in the parent process? If not, then why is the answer 2?

  • Can anyone tell me why my XML writer is not writing attributes?

    - by user1632018
    I am writing a parsing tool to help me clean up a large VC++ project before I make .net bindings for it. I am using an XML writer to read an xml file and write out each element to a new file. If an element with a certain name is found, then it executes some code and writes an output value into the elements value. So far it is almost working, except for one thing: It is not copying the attributes. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? Here is a sample of what it is supposed to copy/modify(Includes the attributes): <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <Project DefaultTargets="Build" ToolsVersion="4.0" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/developer/msbuild/2003"> <ItemGroup Label="ProjectConfigurations"> <ProjectConfiguration Include="Debug|Win32"> <Configuration>Debug</Configuration> <Platform>Win32</Platform> </ProjectConfiguration> <ProjectConfiguration Include="Release|Win32"> <Configuration>Release</Configuration> <Platform>Win32</Platform> </ProjectConfiguration> </ItemGroup> <PropertyGroup Label="Globals"> <ProjectGuid>{57900E99-A405-49F4-83B2-0254117D041B}</ProjectGuid> <Keyword>Win32Proj</Keyword> <RootNamespace>libproj</RootNamespace> </PropertyGroup> Here is the output I am getting(No Attributes): <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <Project> <ItemGroup> <ProjectConfiguration> <Configuration>Debug</Configuration> <Platform>Win32</Platform> </ProjectConfiguration> <ProjectConfiguration> <Configuration>Release</Configuration> <Platform>Win32</Platform> </ProjectConfiguration> </ItemGroup> <PropertyGroup> <ProjectGuid>{57900E99-A405-49F4-83B2-0254117D041B}</ProjectGuid> <Keyword>Win32Proj</Keyword> <RootNamespace>libproj</RootNamespace> Here is my code currently. I have tried every way I can come up with to write the attributes. string baseDir = (textBox2.Text + "\\" + safeFileName); string vcName = Path.GetFileName(textBox1.Text); string vcProj = Path.Combine(baseDir, vcName); using (XmlReader reader = XmlReader.Create(textBox1.Text)) { XmlWriterSettings settings = new XmlWriterSettings(); settings.OmitXmlDeclaration = true; settings.ConformanceLevel = ConformanceLevel.Fragment; settings.Indent = true; settings.CloseOutput = false; using (XmlWriter writer = XmlWriter.Create(vcProj, settings)) { while (reader.Read()) { switch (reader.NodeType) { case XmlNodeType.Element: if (reader.Name == "ClInclude") { string include = reader.GetAttribute("Include"); string dirPath = Path.GetDirectoryName(textBox1.Text); Directory.SetCurrentDirectory(dirPath); string fullPath = Path.GetFullPath(include); //string dirPath = Path.GetDirectoryName(fullPath); copyFile(fullPath, 3); string filename = Path.GetFileName(fullPath); writer.WriteStartElement(reader.Name); writer.WriteAttributeString("Include", "include/" + filename); writer.WriteEndElement(); } else if (reader.Name == "ClCompile" && reader.HasAttributes) { string include = reader.GetAttribute("Include"); string dirPath = Path.GetDirectoryName(textBox1.Text); Directory.SetCurrentDirectory(dirPath); string fullPath = Path.GetFullPath(include); copyFile(fullPath, 2); string filename = Path.GetFileName(fullPath); writer.WriteStartElement(reader.Name); writer.WriteAttributeString("Include", "src/" + filename); writer.WriteEndElement(); } else { writer.WriteStartElement(reader.Name); } break; case XmlNodeType.Text: writer.WriteString(reader.Value); break; case XmlNodeType.XmlDeclaration: case XmlNodeType.ProcessingInstruction: writer.WriteProcessingInstruction(reader.Name, reader.Value); break; case XmlNodeType.Comment: writer.WriteComment(reader.Value); break; case XmlNodeType.Attribute: writer.WriteAttributes(reader, true); break; case XmlNodeType.EntityReference: writer.WriteEntityRef(reader.Value); break; case XmlNodeType.EndElement: writer.WriteFullEndElement(); break; } } } }

  • Feedback + Bad output

    - by user1770094
    So I've got an assignment I think I'm more or less done with, but there is something which is messing up the output badly somewhere down the line, or even the calculation, and I don't see where the problem is. The assignment is to make a game in which a certain ammount of players run up through a tunnel towards a spot,where they will stop and spin around it,and then their dizziness is supposed to make them randomly either progress towards goal or regress back towards start.And each time they get another spot closer to goal,they get another "marking",and it goes on like this until one of them reaches goal. The program includes three files: one main.cpp,one header file and another cpp file. The header file: #ifndef COMPETITOR_H #define COMPETITOR_H #include <string> using namespace std; class Competitor { public: void setName(); string getName(); void spin(); void move(); int checkScore(); void printResult(); private: string name; int direction; int markedSpots; }; #endif // COMPETITOR_H The second cpp file: #include <iostream> #include <string> #include <cstdlib> #include <ctime> #include "Competitor.h" using namespace std; void Competitor::setName() { cin>>name; } string Competitor::getName() { return name; } void Competitor::spin() { srand(time(NULL)); direction = rand()%1+0; } void Competitor::move() { if(direction == 1) { markedSpots++; } else if(direction == 0 && markedSpots != 0) { markedSpots--; } } int Competitor::checkScore() { return markedSpots; } void Competitor::printResult() { if(direction == 1) { cout<<" is heading towards goal and has currently "<<markedSpots<<" markings."; } else if(direction == 0) { cout<<"\n"<<getName()<<" is heading towards start and has currently "<<markedSpots<<" markings."; } } The main cpp file: #include <iostream> #include <string> #include <cstdlib> #include <ctime> #include "Competitor.h" using namespace std; void inputAndSetNames(Competitor comps[],int nrOfComps); void makeTwist(Competitor comps[],int nrOfComps); void makeMove(Competitor comps[],int nrOfComps); void showAll(Competitor comps[],int nrOfComps); int winner(Competitor comps[],int nrOfComps, int nrOfTwistPlaces); int main() { int nrOfTwistPlaces; int nrOfComps; int noWinner = -1; int laps = 0; cout<<"How many spinning places should there be? "; cin>>nrOfTwistPlaces; cout<<"How many competitors should there be? "; cin>>nrOfComps; Competitor * comps = new Competitor[nrOfComps]; inputAndSetNames(comps, nrOfComps); do { laps++; cout<<"\nSpin "<<laps<<":"; makeTwist(comps, nrOfComps); makeMove(comps, nrOfComps); showAll(comps, nrOfComps); }while(noWinner == -1); delete [] comps; return 0; } void inputAndSetNames(Competitor comps[],int nrOfComps) { cout<<"Type in the names of the "<<nrOfComps<<" competitors:\n"; for(int i=0;i<nrOfComps;i++) { comps[i].setName(); } cout<<"\n"; } void makeTwist(Competitor comps[],int nrOfComps) { for(int i=0;i<nrOfComps;i++) { comps[i].spin(); } } void makeMove(Competitor comps[],int nrOfComps) { for(int i=0;i<nrOfComps;i++) { comps[i].move(); } } void showAll(Competitor comps[],int nrOfComps) { for(int i=0;i<nrOfComps;i++) { comps[i].printResult(); } cout<<"\n\n"; system("pause"); } int winner(Competitor comps[],int nrOfComps, int nrOfTwistPlaces) { int end = 0; int score = 0; for(int i=0;i<nrOfComps;i++) { score = comps[i].checkScore(); if(score == nrOfTwistPlaces) { end = 1; } else end = -1; } return end; } I'd be grateful if you would point out other mistakes if you see any.Thanks in advance.

    Using Ubuntu 10.04 on an aws ec2 instance. • Installing sqlite gem fails on AWS Linux instance with sqlite-devel libraries installed

    - by Scott
    Hi, I'm running an instance built off ami-595a0a1c. I am trying to install the sqlite3 (or sqlite) gem and it's failing with the below error: $ sudo gem install sqlite3 Building native extensions. This could take a while... ERROR: Error installing sqlite3: ERROR: Failed to build gem native extension. /usr/bin/ruby extconf.rb checking for sqlite3.h... no sqlite3.h is missing. Try 'port install sqlite3 +universal' or 'yum install sqlite3-devel' and check your shared library search path (the location where your sqlite3 shared library is located). extconf.rb failed * Could not create Makefile due to some reason, probably lack of necessary libraries and/or headers. Check the mkmf.log file for more details. You may need configuration options. Results logged to /usr/lib64/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/sqlite3-1.3.3/ext/sqlite3/gem_make.out Typically, this just means you need to install the development libraries and everything is cool. However, I have installed the sqlite-devel packages and still no dice. Since this is the Amazon Linux instance, I'd rather not add more repositories than the ones Amazon provides if possible. What can i do to get this thing to compile? Thanks for any insight! From a brand new instance, here's what I've done: $ sudo yum install rubygems ruby-devel $ sudo gem update --system $ sudo gem install rails $ rails new app $ cd app $ rails server Could not find gem 'sqlite3 (= 0)' in any of the gem sources listed in your Gemfile. $ sudo yum install sqlite-devel $ sudo gem install sqlite (or sqlite3 -- same result) See breakage above
