  • ASP.NET MVC Routes Login/Logout Problem

    Hi Guys, Relatively new to ASP.NET MVC and little confused about how to do routing. My problem basically relates to "logged in" and "logged out routes" and having both as "/". i.e. I have home/index for logged out user which appears as "/" but this has got me confused as to how I can have home/home for logged in user and still have "/". I keep getting 127.0.0.1/home/home I could modify like 127.0.0.1/home - but I want it like "/". My confusion relates to the fact that the "/" [127.0.0.1/] is bound in the routes collection to home/index. Does anyone know how I can modify the routes dictionary (which will be binded ONCE at the start) so that the "/" can be shared for logged and non-logged users ? Thanks?

  • My first Lisp macro; is it leaky?

    I've been working through Practical Common Lisp and as an exercise decided to write a macro to determine if a number is a multiple of another number: (defmacro multp (value factor) `(= (rem ,value ,factor) 0)) so that : (multp 40 10) evaluates to true whilst (multp 40 13) does not The question is does this macro leak in some way? Also is this "good" Lisp? Is there already an existing function/macro that I could have used?

  • How do i get the reg string from the handle integer?

    Hi, ive got the reg handles (as ints) being outputted, but i need to convert this to the HKLM/bla/bla.... I know that the 5 Root Keys are 0x80000000Y where Y is a value from 0 to 4, but i'm also getting much smaller values which represent nodes lower down in the registry leaves.

  • SWIG_NewPointerObj and values always being nil

    I'm using SWIG to wrap C++ objects for use in lua, and Im trying to pass data to a method in my lua script, but it always comes out as 'nil' void CTestAI::UnitCreated(IUnit* unit){ lua_getglobal(L, "ai"); lua_getfield(L, -1, "UnitCreated"); swig_module_info *module = SWIG_GetModule( L ); swig_type_info *type = SWIG_TypeQueryModule( module, module, "IUnit *" ); SWIG_NewPointerObj(L,unit,type,0); lua_epcall(L, 1, 0); } Here is the lua code: function AI:UnitCreated(unit) if(unit == nil) then game:SendToConsole("I CAN HAS nil ?") else game:SendToConsole("I CAN HAS UNITS!!!?") end end unit is always nil. I have checked and in the C++ code, the unit pointer is never invalid/null I've also tried: void CTestAI::UnitCreated(IUnit* unit){ lua_getglobal(L, "ai"); lua_getfield(L, -1, "UnitCreated"); SWIG_NewPointerObj(L,unit,SWIGTYPE_p_IUnit,0); lua_epcall(L, 1, 0); } with identical results. Why is this failing? How do I fix it?

  • TCP 3 way handshake

    Hi, i'm just observing what NMAP is doing for the 3 ports it reports are open. I understand what a half-scan attack is, but what's happening doesnt make sense. NMAP is reporting ports 139 are 445 are open..... all fine. But when i look at the control bits, NMAP never sends RST once it has found out the port is open, It does this for port 135- but not 139 and 445. This is what happens: (I HAVE OMITTED THE victim's replies) Sends a 2 (SYN) Sends a 16 (ACK) Sends a 24 (ACK + PST) Sends a 16 (ACK) Sends a 17 (ACK + FIN) I dont get why NMAP doesnt 'RST' ports 139 and 445??

  • WYSIWYG-editor with "add custom html feature" and secure (validated) html output?

    I've been looking into some of the WYSIWYG editors (TinyMCE, FCKEditor, etc.) and they all seem to offer a lot of options. However, one vital feature that seems to lack is a simple "add custom html" option which would allow the user to input any of these embed-snippets you find all around the web these days, for example a youtube video. This is different than a "edit html/source" feature as that requires actual knowledge of html and there is the risk of the user writing invalid code. Another issue that I couldn't find much about is the output html. How would I make sure that this output causes no security invulnerabilities? Even when the user has the ability to add his own html? So, basically, is there an open source WYSIWYG editor which covers these 2 features?

  • Anyone NOT using a Web Framework? Why?

    I'm well aware of the many reasons to use a web framework. I'm just wondering whether anyone out there is using absolutely no web framework whatsoever to develop their web projects. I would really love to know the reason(s) why you're not using a web framework. For the sake of this discussion, your programming language of choice does not matter. Some possibilities for discussion: You don't hide behind an ORM. You don't rely on any sort of templating system. You think MVC is a really nice TLA but lacks an essential vowel or two. No need for any additional javascript framework tomfoolery. You just write as much code as possible in your native programming language(s). Summary of reasons thus far: Language learning opportunities. Specific performance reasons (write-intensive transaction processing). Seeking more nuanced control over your data and applications (less abstraction). You're building your own framework! Prove to yourself that you can succeed (or fail) just like the big framework-building gurus. Integration issues with unpopular/legacy technologies (exotic databases or protocols come to mind). Big company, lots of code, no talent nor buy-in present to move to a web framework. Some frameworks really lock you in and cannot perpetually grow along with your needs. These few black sheep don't make it easy to jump outside of the framework, write some custom code, and easily jump back in. When you finally escape the asylum, you'll never look back.

  • CSS image for submit button - clicking image must submit form

    Please help, I have a form on wordpress. I want the user to be able to click an image instead of the standard submit button. I have the image appear and the submit button disappear - but nothing happens when I click on the image.     The MSDN CreatMutex() documentation (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms682411%28VS.85%29.aspx) contains the following remark near the end: Two or more processes can call CreateMutex to create the same named mutex. The first process actually creates the mutex, and subsequent processes with sufficient access rights simply open a handle to the existing mutex. This enables multiple processes to get handles of the same mutex, while relieving the user of the responsibility of ensuring that the creating process is started first. When using this technique, you should set the bInitialOwner flag to FALSE; otherwise, it can be difficult to be certain which process has initial ownership. Can somebody explain the problem with using bInitialOwner = TRUE? Earlier in the same documentation it suggests a call to GetLastError() will allow you to determine whether a call to CreateMutext() created the mutex or just returned a new handle to an existing mutex: Return Value If the function succeeds, the return value is a handle to the newly created mutex object. If the function fails, the return value is NULL. To get extended error information, call GetLastError. If the mutex is a named mutex and the object existed before this function call, the return value is a handle to the existing object, GetLastError returns ERROR_ALREADY_EXISTS, bInitialOwner is ignored, and the calling thread is not granted ownership. However, if the caller has limited access rights, the function will fail with ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED and the caller should use the OpenMutex function.

    Given these two models: class Profile(models.Model): user = models.ForeignKey(User, unique=True, verbose_name=_('user')) about = models.TextField(_('about'), blank=True) zip = models.CharField(max_length=10, verbose_name='zip code', blank=True) website = models.URLField(_('website'), blank=True, verify_exists=False) class ProfileView(models.Model): profile = models.ForeignKey(Profile) viewer = models.ForeignKey(User, blank=True, null=True) created = models.DateTimeField(auto_now_add=True) I want to get all profiles sorted by total views. I can get a list of profile ids sorted by total views with: ProfileView.objects.values('profile').annotate(Count('profile')).order_by('-profile__count') But that's just a dictionary of profile ids, which means I then have to loop over it and put together a list of profile objects. Which is a number of additional queries and still doesn't result in a QuerySet. At that point, I might as well drop to raw SQL. Before I do, is there a way to do this from the Profile model? ProfileViews are related via a ForeignKey field, but it's not as though the Profile model knows that, so I'm not sure how to tie the two together. As an aside, I realize I could just store views as a property on the Profile model and that may turn out to be what I do here, but I'm still interested in learning how to better use the Aggregation functions.

  • asp.net mvc script and style references

    I'm trying to include script and style references that will not break on deployment, however I can not even get the references to work locally. I have tried using Url.Content() and MVCContrib's <%=Html.ScriptInclude("")%>. My scripts are in a Scripts folder on the root of the site; my styles are in the usual Content/css/ folder. The scripts render like this: <script type="text/javascript" src="/Scripts/MicrosoftAjax.debug.js" ></script> This will not work in a view page in the Views folder. What am I doing wrong and what is the best way to handle this? I would have thought Url.Content() would at least work for styles but used in my master page, the link rendered <link href="/Content/css/Site.css rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> This does not work, because the Master Page is in a Shared folder, so what is really the way forward with this?

    Hello! I recently used git-svn to clone an SVN repository, for the purposes of maintaining my own branch of an open-source project. I'm also working with others on this branch, so we use a shared Git repository to help with the collaboration. A colleague wishes to fetch new revisions from the original SVN repository. How might he accomplish this? I can simply run "git svn fetch" on my local machine, but seeing that my colleague has cloned from the shared Git repository, his local branch lacks the necessary SVN metadata for fetching. Thanks!

I want to create a new variable GDP1960, which gives the GDP in 1960 of each country for each year: USA $100m 1960 USA $100m 1960 $100m USA $200m 1965 --> USA $200m 1965 $100m Canada $60m 1960 Canada $60m 1960 $60m What's the right syntax to make this happen?     Is it possible to set a default behaviour for custom (non-native) methods/functions in Java? For example, I would like to change the default "Function" to do a System.out.println("message") whenever called. So, when a custom method/function is being created: public String testMethod() { //custom code } it should execute the newly added default behaviour (in this case the system output), before the custom code is run. Even if this would be a bad excercise, is it possible? Maybe by extending the function class or something?

  • UIWebView doesn't scroll to the bottom of the webpage loaded/created

    I have a UIWebView inside a normal UIViewController. The content of the UIWebView is programming/dynamically created in my program, and it could be very long (multiple table rows). Somehow, after loading, the page won't scroll more then one and half screen of content when swipe on the screen. Because of that I can only see the beginning few rows of data, but not the many others after them. Why is that?
