• Phpmyadmin mysql foreign key problem

  Hey guys i'm using phpmyadmin (php & mysql) and i'm having alot of trouble linking the tables using foreign keys. I'm getting negative values for the field countyId (which is the foriegn key). However it is linking to my other table fine and it's cascading fine. So when I go to add data there will be a drop box for the CountyId and the values will look something like this, " -1 1- " Here is my alter statement, ALTER TABLE Baronies ADD FOREIGN KEY (CountyId) REFERENCES Counties (CountyId) ON DELETE CASCADE

• windows xp - shift key pops up a menu

  Helo all! A wierd shift-key problem, for which all I found was sticky keys answers First of all, I have all the sticky keys and related, Disabled. Every windows that is currently in focus, if I press the left shift-key alone, pops up the current window menu. I have no idea how and why this has happened, or how to disable it. I could not find any reference in google about it (perhaps my search-string was not good..) any help would be appriciated

• Xorg: How can I map AltGr to the CapsLock Key (to toggle 3rd level symbols)

  Hi, as many others I don't need Capslock. I want to reassign it to have the function of AltGr. I use Kubuntu 9.10 but I think there must be a solution which is distribution independent. I already tried to use setxkbmap or xmodmap. Using xmodmap at least I managed that the CapsLock key to behaves like the Delete key by following this description. But I could not achieve assigning the AltGr behavior to CapsLock.

• Disable default Gnome Shell Super Key Mapping

  Gnome Shell by default uses the Super (Windows) key to display the activities overview. But I'd prefer to use the Super key to invoke Synapse. Right now I have to press Super+Super+Spacebar in order to invoke Synapse which is annoying (Super+Spacebar is the binding to invoke Synapse). Is there any way to remove the default Gnome Shell mapping? In the keyboard shortcuts system settings, only the Alt+F1 binding appears for the activities overview action.

  I'm trying to lock down a kiosk PC and need to disable various 'Ctrl + key' keyboard shortcuts. I started by disabling them individually using AutoHotkey... ^F4::return ^w::return ^+w::return ^Esc::return ^+Esc::return ;etc... but keep discovering new ones shortcuts (did you know that 'Ctrl + Q' in IE8 displays a tab thumbnail page). So I tried to disable the Ctrl key completely using stuff like: LCtrl::return RCtrl::return ~Ctrl::return ^::return with no luck. Any ideas?

Is it possible to deduce the account number from the key and the secret? Obviously I also asked the client for this information, but since it's weekend and I'm not fond of waiting I wanted to see if I could figure it out myself. Have you done this before?

I've tried Ukelele and KeyRemap4MacBook, but can't seem to find the correct settings to change. • Win CE 6.0 client using WCF Services

  We have a Win CE 6.0 device that is required to consume services that will be provided using WCF. We are attempting to reduce bandwidth usage as much as possible and with a simple test we have found that using UDP instead of HTTP saved significant data usage. I understand there are limitations regarding WCF on .NET Compact Framework 3.5 devices and was curious what people thought would be the appropriate way forward. Would it make sense to develop a custom UDP binding, and would that work for both sides? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

• Disabling Alt-F4 on a Win Forms NotifyIcon

  I am using a NotifyIcon from Win Forms to make a systray icon for my C# application. I have a bug where if the user right clicks the icon for the context menu, they can press Alt-F4 and the icon will disappear from the tray, but the Main WPF application is still running. This is especially a problem when they have "minimized to systray" and the only control of the application is now gone. Anyone know how to handle this specificially on the systray? I've looked at the NotifyIcon documentation and there isn't anything relating to keypress events.

• Environment variable in xcconfig won't expand in Settings.bundle/Root.plist

  I have defined my own environment variable in a .xcconfig file and based my configurations on that as described at http://www.silverchairsolutions.com/blog/2008/03/automating-cocoa-deployments-with-sparkle-and-xcode. My environment variable is indeed expanded in Info.plist but not in my Settings.bundle/Root.plist. Why won't it expand there?   Library Project compiles fine for ANY CPU in VS2008 running on Win 7 64 -bit. Now in the post build following command fails when attemptiong to register library dll: PS C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727 .\installutil C:\path\Project.dll Exception occurred while initializing the installation: System.BadImageFormatException: Could not load file or assembly 'file:///C:\path\Project.dll' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format.. Do I need to compile the project as x64 I was under impression that AnyCPU will take care of it. Alo my library does have dependencies. Do they also need to be compiled as x64 bit? Any help is appreciated.

• Mode specific key bindings

  Hey, I have a minor mode that also comes with a global mode. The mode have some key bindings and I want the user to have the posibility to specify what bindings should work for each mode. (my-minor-mode-bindings-for-mode 'some-mode '(key1 key2 ...)) (my-minor-mode-bindings-for-mode 'some-other-mode '(key3 key4 ...)) So I need some kind of mode/buffer-local key map. Buffer local is a bit problematic since the user can change the major mode. I have tried some solutions of which neither works any good. Bind all possible keys always and when the user types the key, check if the key should be active in that mode. Execute action if true, otherwise fall back. Like the previous case only that no keys are bound. Instead I use a pre command hook and check if the key pressed should do anything. For each buffer update (whatever that means), run a function that first clears the key map and then updates it with the bindings for that particular mode. I have tried these approaches and I found problems with all of them. Do you know of any good way to solve this? Thanks!

Now in one of my views I want do delete order object along with all related objects. So I invoke order.delete(). I have Django 1.0.4, PostgreSQL 8.4 and I use transaction middleware, so whole request is enclosed in single transaction. The problem is that upon order.delete() I get: ... File "/usr/local/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/django/db/backends/__init__.py", line 28, in _commit return self.connection.commit() IntegrityError: update or delete on table "main_order" violates foreign key constraint "main_shipment_order_id_fkey" on table "main_shipment" DETAIL: Key (id)=(45) is still referenced from table "main_shipment". I checked in connection.queries that proper queries are executed in proper order. First shipment is deleted, after that django executes delete on order row: {'time': '0.000', 'sql': 'DELETE FROM "main_shipment" WHERE "id" IN (17)'}, {'time': '0.000', 'sql': 'DELETE FROM "main_order" WHERE "id" IN (45)'} Foreign key have ON DELETE NO ACTION (default) and is initially deferred. I don't know why I get foreign key constraint violation. I also tried to register pre_delete signal and manually delete shipment objects before delete on order is called, but it resulted in the same error. I can change ON DELETE behaviour for this key in Postgres but it would be just a hack, I wonder if anyone has a better idea what's going on here. On Win XP X86 it is working fine, but on X64 after 3 to 4 minutes System generates StackOverflowException and causes the application to hang. after removing this check application is working fine.. • Convert Virtual Key Code to unicode string

  I have some code I've been using to get the current keyboard layout and convert a virtual key code into a string. This works great in most situations, but I'm having trouble with some specific cases. The one that brought this to light is the accent key next to the backspace key on german QWERTZ keyboards. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:KB_Germany.svg That key generates the VK code I'd expect kVK_ANSI_Equal but when using a QWERTZ keyboard layout I get no description back. Its ending up as a dead key because its supposed to be composed with another key. Is there any way to catch these cases and do the proper conversion? My current code is below.
