• iPad width in viewport settings overflowing past device width

  I am at my wit's end here, and I beseech the fine folks here at stackoverflow for help. I am working on a design for a blog for a friend of mine, and I'm working in HTML5. I am trying to get the width of the page to span the width of an iPad. So, in my document head, I have the following: <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0, maximum-scale=1.0"> Now, if you go to the index page, on an iPad, it looks just fine. The width of the page spans the width of the iPad in portrait mode, as I expect it to: http://www.alanreuterart.com/femmegamers/index.html It also looks fine on any individual blog posts as well. However, on the "about" and "join" pages, the width does not do this. It's actually overflowing past the length of the iPad to the right. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to get it those two pages to correctly span the device width of the iPad. One important note, though: before anyone tells me to set my viewport width to 960, I cannot do that because the pages have media queries in them to convert to a mobile layout for the iPhone and other mobile phones. • Text not Being Placed Correctly In the Center

  This is another noobish mistake from me but I've placed some text in my page but after adding some padding to my div tag it's impossible for me to place my Text in the vertical center. • QGraphicsView and custom Cursors

  I am trying to make use of a mix of custom cursors and preset cursors for my QGraphicsView. In my implementation we have created a notion of "modes" for the view. Meaning that depending on what "mode" the user is in, different things will happen on the left-click, or left-click drag. Anyway, none of that is the problem, just the context. The problem arises when I try to change the cursor for each mode. For instance, for mode 1 we want to show the regular Arrow cursor, but for mode 2, we want to use a custom pixmap. Seemingly simple we call graphicsview->viewport()->setCursor(Qt::QArrowCursor)  when we are switching to mode 1, and graphicsview->viewport()->setCursor(our custom cursor) for mode 2. Except it doesn't work at all. Firstly, the cursor does not change to the custom cursor. That is the first problem. However, if through another operation the drag mode of the graphics view gets set to ScrollHandDrag, the cursor will switch to the custom cursor once the drag operation is complete. Weird. But the plot thickens... Once we switch to the custom cursor, it can never be changed back to the ArrorCursor no matter how many times we call setCursor(Qt::QArrowCursor). it also doesn't seem to matter whether I call setCursor on the viewport or the graphics view itself. So, just for fun, I added a call to graphicsview->unsetCursor() just before we want to change the cursor, and that at least rectifies the second problem. The cursor changes just fine so long as we do a little HandDragging in between. Better, but certainly not optimal. However it should be noted, that doing the unsetCursor on the viewport doesn't work. it must absolutely be done on the graphicsview - regardless of the fact that we are setting the cursor on the viewport. To completely patch over the problem I have added these two lines after I set the cursor: graphicsview->setDragMode(QGraphicsView::ScrollHandDrag); graphicsview->setDragMode(QGraphicsView::NoDrag); Which works, but ye gads!! So something magical is happening inside these two methods that fixes the problem, but glancing at the code I don't see what. Something to do with the fact that the drag mode is changing the cursor I imagine. Just for completeness, I should also mention that the thing that triggers the mode change, is a QPushButton that has been added to the scene using QGraphicsScene->addWidget(). I don't know if that has anything to do with it, but you never know. I am hoping that either someone could clarify why I need to make these seemingly random calls. I don't think I am doing anything wrong anywhere. Thanks in advance for any help. EDIT: Here is an actual code example with the cursor patches as described above. You can look at and/or download them from the link below. It was a little long to paste here. I included the framework around which the cursors are changed, because I have a funny feeling that that is important somehow. https://gist.github.com/712654 The code where the problem lies is in MyGraphicsView.cpp starting at line 104. This is where the cursor is set in the graphics view. It is exactly as described above. Keep in mind, with the very ugly patches in place the cursors do work - more or less. Without those lines you will see very clearly the problems listed in the post above. Also included in the link, is all the code for a mainWindow that uses the view, etc... the only thing missing are the images I am using. But the images themselves don't matter, any 16x16 pngs will do.

• Snake game, can't add new rectangles?

  I had seen some problem on other forum, and i tried to solve them but unsuccesfully, now is too intersting for me and i just need to solve this for my ego... lol Main problem is when snake eat first food, snake added one rectangle, when snake eat second food nothings changed? When snake head position and food position are same, then i try to add another rectangle, i have list where i stored rectangles coordinates x and y. What do you think, how i can to solve this problem? For one, when I add 0 to a queue and then I output the queue like so.. Queue<double> qdub; qdub.enqueue(0); cout << qdub << endl; That works, it will output 0. But for example, if I modify that queue in any way.. like.. assign it to a different queue.. Queue<double> qdub1; Queue<double> qdub2; qdub1.enqueue(0; qdub2 = qdub1; cout << qdub2 << endl; It will give me weird values for 0 like.. 7.86914e-316. Help on this would be much appreciated!

  I wanted to add dynamic charts in the webpage. It goes like this... I get the start and end date from user and draw separate charts for each date bewteen the start and end date. • Execute function without sending 'self' to it

  Is that possible to define a function without referencing to self this way? def myfunc(var_a,var_b) But so that it could also get sender data, like if I defined it like this: def myfunc(self, var_a,var_b) That self is always the same so it looks a little redundant here always to run a function this way: myfunc(self,'data_a','data_b'). Then I would like to get its data in the function like this sender.fields. UPDATE: Here is some code to understand better what I mean. To simplify my cases it is like this: MainTable has the following fields: 1) MainID integer PK 2) Description varchar(50) 3) ForeignKey integer FK to MainID of SecondaryTable SecondaryTable has the following fields: 4) MainID integer PK (referenced by (3)) 5) AnotherDescription varchar(50) The goal I'm trying to accomplish is "export all records from MainTable using a WHERE condition", for example all records where MainID < 100. To do it manually I shuold first export all data from SecondaryTable contained in this select: select * from SecondaryTable ST outer join PrimaryTable PT on ST.MainID=PT.MainID then export the needed records from MainTable: select * from MainTable where MainID < 100. This is manual, ok. Of course my case is much much much omre complex, I have 200+ tables, so donig it manually is painful/impossible, I have many cascading FKs. Is there a way to force the copy of main table only "enforcing referntial integrity". so that my query is something like: select * from MainTable where MainID < 100 WITH "COPYING ALL FK sources" In this cases also the field (5) will be copied. ====================================================== Is there a syntax or a tool to do this? Table per table I'd like to insert conditions (like MainID <100 is only for MainTable, but I have also other tables).

It somehow buggy. It only splices after clicking on other elements. and then it behaves weird. • LinqToSql Select to a class then do more queries

  I have a LINQ query running with multiple joins and I want to pass it around as an IQueryable<T> and apply additional filters in other methods. The problem is that I can't work out how to pass around a var data type and keep it strongly typed, and if I try to put it in my own class (EG: .Select((a,b) => new MyClass(a,b))) I get errors when I try to add later Where clauses because my class has no translations into SQL. Is there any way I can do one of the following: Make my class map to SQL? Make the var data-type implement an interface (So I can pass it round as though it's that)? Something I haven't though of that'll solve my issue?   OK so I can't find a good example of this so I can better understand how to use detached criteria (assuming that's what I want to use in the first place). I have 2 tables. Placement and PlacementSupervisor My PlacementSupervisor table has a FK of PlacementID which relates to Placement.PlacementID - though my nhibernate model class has PlacementSupervisor . Placement (rather than specifically specifying a property of placement ID - not sure if this is important). What I am trying to do is - if values are passed through for the supervisor ID I want to restrict placements with that supervisor id. Can someone point me in the right direction. It seems like such an easy thing to do from a data perspective that hopefully I'm just missing something obvious!!

Any idea why this happens? Is it possible that JBoss (5.0 EAP) + Hibernate somehow remembers a mistaken idea of the primary key across server restarts and code redeployments?   Hi, I'm setting up a group / user based security system. I have 4 tables as follows: user groups group_user_mappings acl where acl is the mapping between an item_id and either a group or a user. The way I've done the acl table, I have 3 columns of note (actually 4th one as an auto-id, but that is irrelevant) col 1 item_id (item to access) col 3 user_id (user that is allowed to access) col 3 group_id (group that is allowed to access) So for example item1, peter, , item2, , group1 item3, jane, , so either the acl will give access to a user or a group. Any one line in the ACL table with either have an item - user mapping, or an item group. If I want to have a query that returns all objects a user has access to, I think I need to have a SQL query with a UNION, because I need 2 separate queries that join like.. item - acl - group - user AND item - acl - user This I guess will work OK. Is this how its normally done? Am I doing this the right way? Seems a little messy. I was thinking I could get around it by creating a single user group for each person, so I only ever deal with groups in my SQL, but this seems a little messy as well..

Though it works fine usually, when user types the queries really fast some random SqlException is thrown.   Two models (Rails 2.3.8): User; username & disabled properties; User has_one :profile Profile; full_name & hidden properties I am trying to create a named_scope that eliminate the disabled=1 and hidden=1 User-Profiles. Moreover, while the User model is usually used in conjunction with the Profile model, I would like the flexibility to be able specify this using the :include = :profile syntax. I have the following User named_scope: named_scope :visible, { :joins => "INNER JOIN profiles ON users.id=profiles.user_id", :conditions => ["users.disabled = ? • MySQL Ratings From Two Tables

  I am using MySQL and PHP to build a data layer for a flash game. Retrieving lists of levels is pretty easy, but I've hit a roadblock in trying to fetch the level's average rating along with it's pointer information. Here is an example data set: levels Table: level_id | level_name 1 | Some Level 2 | Second Level 3 | Third Level ratings Table: rating_id | level_id | rating_value 1 | 1 | 3 2 | 1 | 4 3 | 1 | 1 4 | 2 | 3 5 | 2 | 4 6 | 2 | 1 7 | 3 | 3 8 | 3 | 4 9 | 3 | 1 I know this requires a join, but I cannot figure out how to get the average rating value based on the level_id when I request a list of levels. This is what I'm trying to do: SELECT levels.level_id, AVG(ratings.level_rating WHERE levels.level_id = ratings.level_id) FROM levels I know my SQL is flawed there, but I can't figure out how to get this concept across. The only thing I can get to work is returning a single average from the entire ratings table, which is not very useful. Ideal Output from the above conceptually valid but syntactically awry query would be: level_id | level_rating 1| 3.34 2| 1.00 3| 4.54 My main issue is I can't figure out how to use the level_id of each response row before the query has been returned. It's like I want to use a placeholder... or an alias... I really don't know and it's very frustrating. The solution I have in place now is an EPIC band-aid and will only cause me problems long term... please help!
