• Lost values with XML Deserializion

  Here is my class BookStore: http://pastebin.com/dnQkDUWk The class can be load and save XML files. For some reason, I have a problem regarding Rating value that gets lost when I load from XML (using void LoadFromXML(string path) method. The following code prints 0 although actual value is 5: BookStore b = new BookStore(); b.LoadFromXML(Server.MapPath("list.xml")); Label1.Text = b.BooksList[0].Rating.ToString(); Please note: only the specific Rating parameter is lost. • SqlCommand() ExecuteNonQuery() truncates command text.

  I'm building a custom db deployment utility, I need to read text files containing sql scripts and execute them against the database. Pretty easy stuff, so far so good. However I've encountered a snag, the contents of the file are read successfully and entirely, but once passed into the SqlCommand and then executed with SqlCommand.ExecuteNonQuery only part of the script is executed.   I want to use document.createDocumentFragment() to create an optimized collection of HTML elements that contain ".data" coming from jQuery (v 1.4.2), but I'm kind of stuck on how to get the data to surface from the HTML elements. • Miss a single tap randomly

  I have the following code snippets - (void)touchesEnded:(NSSet *)touches withEvent:(UIEvent *)event { UITouch *touch = [touches anyObject]; NSUInteger numberTaps = [touch tapCount]; // Tapping if (numberTaps > 0) { // do something } ... The above code basically detects a single tap on a small image (width = 18 and height = 36). It works 90% of the time detecting a single tap. But it sometime misses it (randomly). I have to tap several times before it picks up the single tap. What did I do wrong or miss so I could consistently detect the single tap 100%? Thanks in advance for your help.

Suppose the library has an output function void Foo::print(std::ostream &os) and I have a Java OutputStream out. How can I invoke Foo::print from Java so that the output appears on out? Is there any way to coerce the OutputStream to a std::ostream in the JNI layer? Can I capture the output in a buffer the JNI layer and then copy it into out?

INSTANCE is declared as final. Why can objects be added to INSTANCE? Shouldn't that invalidate the use of final. (It doesn't). I'm assuming the answer has to do something with pointers and memory but would like to know for sure.

  I'm trying to load a .xps document into a DocumentViewer object in my WPF application. Everything works fine, except when I try loading a resourced .xps document. I am able to load the .xps document fine when using an absolute path, but when I try loading a resourced document it throws a "DirectoryNotFoundException" Here's an example of my code that loads the document. using System.Windows.Xps.Packaging; private void Window_Loaded(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { //Absolute Path works (below) //var xpsDocument = new XpsDocument(@"C:\Users\..\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\MyProject\MyProject\Docs\MyDocument.xps", FileAccess.Read); //Resource Path doesn't work (below) var xpsDocument = new XpsDocument(@"\MyProject;component/Docs/Mydocument.xps", FileAccess.Read); DocumentViewer.Document = xpsDocument.GetFixedDocumentSequence(); } When the DirectoryNotFoundException is thrown, it says "Could not find a part of the path : 'C:\MyProject;component\Docs\MyDocument.xps' It appears that it is trying to grab the .xps document from that path, as if it were an actual path on the computer, and not trying to grab from the .xps that is stored as a resource within the application.

I noticed that the httpservice requests that runs from the creationComplete event of the application does not always get data from the server. but HTTPservice requests called from user actions always work.
