  • How can I embed a youtube video using variable widths/heights for a dynamic width web page?

    I want to set a youtube video to 100% width so that it scales appropriately in a dynamic width column on a web page I am designing. The problem is that the height doesn't behave like the height of an image. Instead of scaling proportionately, it either collapses (if set to "auto" or left blank) or it scales seemingly random if set to a percentage. How can I get it to remain proportionate while still dynamic?

    Previously attoparsec was suggested to me for parsing complex binary file formats. While I can find examples of attoparsec parsing HTTP, which is essentially text based, I cannot find an example parsing actual binary, for example, a TCP packet, or image file, or mp3. Can someone post some code or pointer to some code which does this using attoparsec?

  • FileReference.load() not populating FileReference.data.

    I am trying to use the load method of FileReference object to load the data and use it to display a thumbnail of the selected image. However, after calling fr.load(), fr.data remains null. I'm using Flex Builder 3.0.2 on Windows 7 with Flex SDK 3.4 and Flash Player 10 Debug. If I evaluate fr.load() in Eclipse's watch variables list, I get an error reading "No such variable: load." Anyone know why this is happening?

    Hi, Is there any way to disable the WP7 splash screen and just show a blank screen? My splash screen only stays on for less than half a second, leaving the user with a rather jarring sensation. I'd rather they not see any splash screen at all. I would have simply used a plain black image as my splash screen, but then that would result in an ugly experience for people using a light theme (since my app's background is white on light themes and black on dark themes) Thanks!

    Hi, Recently i had some issues with the swf application in IE, which is somethings like gallery. In Firefox its loads perfectly, but in IE it doesn't work properly in some times. For the first time loading its works fine but, when i refresh all the images are getting blank. Image data came from xml. But wish to get some tips regarding the browsers and swf behavior in each. Currently I have it setup to be a ButtonColumn, but have seen no possibility for changing it from a simple button with text to a button with an image on it.     In my C# (3.5) application I need to get the average color values for the red, green and blue channels of a bitmap. Preferably without using an external library. Can this be done? If so, how? Thanks in advance. Trying to make things a little more precise: Each pixel in the bitmap has a certain RGB color value. I'd like to get the average RGB values for all pixels in the image.
