  Hi, I have a list showing up when i click on button, the problem is that i want to hide the list whenever it loses focus i.e. user clicks anywhere on a page, but not on that list. How can i do this? Also, you can see how it should look at last.fm, where's list of profile settings (li.profileItem). • IE adding a attribute 'done[number]' ??

  Hi all im struggling to find an answer to my problem here. I've made a IM application the same as facebooks but it is having problems in IE. The problem started as I kept seeing rn at the beginnning of every post made via IE. That was due to stripslashes function. • Loop through text nodes inside a div

  I am trying to do a text replace, but to do so, i need to loop through the text nodes of a div. Each Div upon clicking, loads via ajax it's appropriate content. But then I need to do text-replacing inside any of the text nodes inside there. My current code, after loading the ajax content, loops through all text nodes of the whole page, and therefore is too resource intensive. I have been looking for hours trying to find out how to both loop thru a div, and get the text nodes... and this has to work in firefox, google chrome and ie6. Any thoughts or suggestions?

• Client side templating with unknown variables

  Our company has an intranet consisting of several e-mail templates filled with variables (like [[NAME]], [[PROJECT]] and so on). I was thinking of implementing some sort of client side templating to make it easier to replace these variables with actual values. The problem is that among all the client side template solutions I've located so far, all of them seem to assume that the JS code knows all the template variables that exist in the markup, and none of them seem to be able to fetch a list of variables defined in the markup. Does anyone know of any solutions/plugin which makes this possible? Thanks in advance!

• Updatepanel refresh messing up JqueryUI in IE7

  Hey everyone, This is a bit of a long shot as I don't have access to the code at the moment. However, there's nothing 'special' about the code. I'm using a combination of JqueryUI and ASP.NET UpdatePanels. If I click any of the trigger controls (asp.net button), the partial-postbacks are fine. However, if I click on a trigger control after clicking on a JQueryUI button, then the entire layout messes up and a lot of the content moves upwards. I can just about reach a JQueryUI button, and when I click that, the layout returns to normal and everything's fine until I click the trigger control again. The page works fine in all latest browsers, but this problem appears in IE 7. I hope maybe someone has come across a similar problem in IE 7 and found a workaround/solution. I've been trying to fix it for a couple of days, but no luck. Thanks for any advice.

Here the server page returns randomly generated number,using this number(converted into seconds) i am triggering another function in ajax success .it works My problem suppose random number = 5 means trigger() function called after 5 seconds using setTimeout,but rember ajax call is triggering every 1 second so trigger function also called many time. i want to make ajax call wait untill trigger function execution.Which means i wanna pause that ajax call untill 5 seconds after that resume How can i do this ? When the program is loaded i created this function to get the selected value and set it as the selected value in jeditable.   Hello, Can someone help me with this I am trying to set and catch the url variable It begins with a form wich has the standard action set to "/autorisation/logout" Then a button with an inline javascript function function tbPayout() { parent.location = "/autorisation/logout?rcgo=payout"; return true; } <input src="/images/go02.gif" type=image border=0 name="go1" onClick="return tbPayout();"> In the autorisation controller I try to catch it if ( isset($_GET['rcgo']) ) { but it doesn't work and I can't see the variable in the url and therefore the default forms action is performed? I also have another redirect page with content="3; url=http://www.domain.nl/index/index?rcgo=logout" /> and that works fine How can I get the javascript to work because I have three submit buttons that need to be set to different get variables. • textbox not getting refreshed

  i am doing an ajax call and i refresh a partial view. Inside the partial view i have this: <%=Html.TextBox("instance.Id", Model.Id)%> when i put a breakpoint here over Model.Id it has a number in it but after the ajax refresh is done the textbox just shows up with a 0. When i do a full browser refresh, the correct number shows up in the textbox. when i use firebug to look at data in my callback i see this: <input id="instance_Id" name="instance.Id" type="text" value="0" /> Everything else in the partial view refreshes fine. any ideas on what could be going wrong here?

• fetching a url using $.getJSON and parsing it correctly

  This is probably really stupid but i can't find the problem with my code. It fetches a url that returns json and the function is then supposed to return a string: function getit() { var ws_url = 'example.com/test.js'; var user = false; $.getJSON(ws_url, function(data) { alert('user '+data.user);//shows john user = data.user || false; } ); return user;//should return john but returns false } test.js will have something like this: {"id":"12","username":"ses","user":"john","error":""} or like this: {"error":"123"} I also tried if(data.user){}else{} but it didn't work either..   <input class="ui-autocomplete-input"/> represents the text field to be autocompleted. <ul>...</ul> contains the list of matching items from the text field input. It is added to the document by remote call as you type. <ul>...</ul> is added just inside the closing </body> tag. I was expecting the <ul>...</ul> to be placed just after the <input class="ui-autocomplete-input"/>. Because this does not happen, the <ul>...</ul> falls outside of the containing div and the resulting style is broken. Suggestions? Can I specify where the <ul>...</ul> gets placed in the document? • Need to add totals of select list, and subtract if taken away

  This is the code I am using to calculate the sum of two values (example below) http://www.healthybrighton.co.uk/wse/node/1841 This works to a degree. It will add the two together but only if #edit-submitted-test is selected first, and even then it will show NaN until I select #edit-submitted-test-1. I want it to calculate the sum of the fields and show the amount live, i.e. the value of edit-submitted-test-1 will show 500, then if i select another field it will update to 1000. If i take one selection away it will then subtract it and will be back to 500. Any ideas would be helpful thanks!
