  • collecting a "+" via CGI

    I'm collecting text through a web form and noticing that when it is collected by my PERL CGI all instances of "+" are transformed into " ". I run the text through a javascript escape before submission, but escape seems to leave + unaltered. There must be something really obvious that I'm missing... how do I send the string "2 + 2 = 4" through and not have it arrive as "2 2 = 4" ??

I added a couple columns to a table, and found that doing saveField() on the new column does not do anything. How do I make CakePHP recognize the new columns? I'd appreciate your help.     We've all seen in-browser rich text editors, which allow you to edit colored/styled text in a WYSIWYG manner. But what about code editors, which automatically highlight code based on language rules as you type? Think Eclipse in a textarea (but without the refactoring support). Do such things exist? I imagine scaling would be a problem - larger files would be difficult to edit efficiently.

  • SharePoint Designer for Mac?

    I'm looking for some way of editing SharePoint ASPX pages on my Mac, using either a local text editor or some kind of remote-into-the-SP-server solution (like emacs with tramp). I know that Cyberduck has the ability to open WebDAV servers with NTLM authentication, but I've been unable to get that to work. So far, the only solution I've found is to use a remote desktop connection to a Windows Server, and run SharePoint Designer from there. Anyone know of either a better method, or a SharePoint Designer alternative?

Is it possible to create an override for a specific instance: Example: An rtf plugin uses: $('selector').wysiwyg('setContent',newContent); In order to display the rtf text as readonly I would like for the same method to be applied to a div instead of the body of the IFRAME I would like to overwrite the original 'setContent' with my own code, just for this one element. Right now I am getting the text value of that element, which is not what I need: var getAllCookies = $('.cookie').text(); var cookiesArray = jQuery.makeArray(getAllCookies); alert(cookiesArray[0]); What I need is to find all elements of a certain class (.cookie), get that elements ID value and store that ID value inside of array.

    I'm trying to put some code examples in a pdf, but copying them out messes up the formatting and rearranges the lines, there's a lot of manual cleanup needed after pasting. Is there a equivalent to html's pre for PDFs? For "this" block of text respect line breaks, spacing, and copy as plain text like its shown. The closest thing I can see is adding note annotations next to every code example.

    So I put in in-place editing for one of my models. One of the attributes is PRICE. I used the to_currency method to format the value before it is displayed. The problem I'm having is that with the in-place editor, I just can't figure out how to set a custom display value. I'm trying to get the price to display as $20.00 until it is clicked, but the in place editor displays 20.0..
