  • Can anyone share a code snippet to Update Google Documents

    - by Sana
    Hi, I am relentlessly trying to update an existing google doc with the Google Protocol Data API, but the contents do not get updated, even though the PUT runs perfectly fine with a return response code of 200. Here is the code that I am using try { HttpRequest requestPost = transport.buildPutRequest(); requestPost.url = DocsUrl.forUploadingFile(editLink); ((GoogleHeaders) requestPost.headers).setSlugFromFileName("books1.xml"); InputStreamContent content = new InputStreamContent(); File file = new File("//sdcard/books.xml"); content.setFileInput(file); content.type = "text/plain"; content.length = file.length(); System.out.println("Length of the file = "+content.length); requestPost.content = content; HttpResponse responseUpload = requestPost.execute(); System.out.println("Uploading code = "+responseUpload.statusCode); } catch (FileNotFoundException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } catch (ClientProtocolException e) { System.out.println("Client Protocol Exception"); } catch (IOException e) { handleException(e); } where editLink is the editLink edit-media link returned from google doc feeds.

  • Apply Quaternion to Camera in libGDX

    - by Alex_Hyzer_Kenoyer
    I am trying to rotate my camera using a Quaternion in libGDX. I have a Quaternion created and being manipulated but I have no idea how to apply it to the camera, everything I've tried hasn't moved the camera at all. Here is how I set up the rotation Quaternion: public void rotateX(float amount) { tempQuat.set(tempVector.set(1.0f, 0.0f, 0.0f), amount * MathHelper.PIOVER180); rotation = rotation.mul(tempQuat); } public void rotateY(float amount) { tempQuat.set(tempVector.set(0.0f, 1.0f, 0.0f), amount * MathHelper.PIOVER180); rotation = tempQuat.mul(rotation); } Here is how I am trying to update the camera (Same update method as the original libGDX version but I added the part about the rotation matrix to the top): public void update(boolean updateFrustum) { float[] matrix = new float[16]; rotation.toMatrix(matrix); Matrix4 m = new Matrix4(); m.set(matrix); camera.view.mul(m); //camera.direction.mul(m).nor(); //camera.up.mul(m).nor(); float aspect = camera.viewportWidth / camera.viewportHeight; camera.projection.setToProjection(Math.abs(camera.near), Math.abs(camera.far), camera.fieldOfView, aspect); camera.view.setToLookAt(camera.position, tempVector.set(camera.position).add(camera.direction), camera.up); camera.combined.set(camera.projection); Matrix4.mul(camera.combined.val, camera.view.val); if (updateFrustum) { camera.invProjectionView.set(camera.combined); Matrix4.inv(camera.invProjectionView.val); camera.frustum.update(camera.invProjectionView); } }

  • Why doesn't Ubuntu show my wireless device after updating the kernel?

    - by Jigar Shah
    After an kernel update Ubuntu doesn't show my wireless device. How can I fix this? I checked the syslogs and it says the following: 2010-02-16 19:25:39,913 WARNING: /sys/module/wl/drivers does not exist, cannot rebind wl driver 2010-02-16 19:25:39,940 DEBUG: BroadcomWLHandler enabled(): kmod disabled, bcm43xx: blacklisted, b43: blacklisted, b43legacy: blacklisted 2010-02-16 19:25:46,066 DEBUG: BroadcomWLHandler enabled(): kmod disabled, bcm43xx: blacklisted, b43: blacklisted, b43legacy: blacklisted 2010-02-16 19:25:46,086 DEBUG: BroadcomWLHandler enabled(): kmod disabled, bcm43xx: blacklisted, b43: blacklisted, b43legacy: blacklisted 2010-02-16 19:25:46,162 DEBUG: BroadcomWLHandler enabled(): kmod disabled, bcm43xx: blacklisted, b43: blacklisted, b43legacy: blacklisted 2010-02-16 19:35:05,451 DEBUG: BroadcomWLHandler enabled(): kmod disabled, bcm43xx: blacklisted, b43: blacklisted, b43legacy: blacklisted 2010-02-16 19:35:05,480 DEBUG: BroadcomWLHandler enabled(): kmod disabled, bcm43xx: blacklisted, b43: blacklisted, b43legacy: blacklisted 2010-02-16 19:35:05,506 DEBUG: BroadcomWLHandler enabled(): kmod disabled, bcm43xx: blacklisted, b43: blacklisted, b43legacy: blacklisted 2010-02-16 19:35:12,496 DEBUG: BroadcomWLHandler enabled(): kmod disabled, bcm43xx: blacklisted, b43: blacklisted, b43legacy: blacklisted 2010-02-16 19:35:19,870 DEBUG: BroadcomWLHandler enabled(): kmod disabled, bcm43xx: blacklisted, b43: blacklisted, b43legacy: blacklisted 2010-02-16 19:35:23,398 WARNING: modinfo for module wl failed: ERROR: modinfo: could not find module wl 2010-02-16 19:35:23,399 WARNING: /sys/module/wl/drivers does not exist, cannot rebind wl driver 2010-02-16 19:35:23,432 DEBUG: BroadcomWLHandler enabled(): kmod disabled, bcm43xx: blacklisted, b43: blacklisted, b43legacy: blacklisted

  • Retrieve XML from URL

    - by Pl4za
    I am having some problems retrieving a xml from url with the following code: private static String getAlbumArt(String artistName, String albumName){ try{ XMLParser xml_parser = new XMLParser(); String xml = xml_parser.getXmlFromUrl(getAlbumURL(artistName, albumName)); Document doc = xml_parser.getDomElement(xml); NodeList N = doc.getElementsByTagName("album"); Node node = N.item(0); NodeList N2 = node.getChildNodes(); System.out.println("1------"); for (int i = 0; i < N2.getLength(); i++) { Node detailNode = N2.item(i); if (detailNode.getNodeType() == Node.ELEMENT_NODE) { System.out.println("2------"); if (detailNode.getNodeName().equalsIgnoreCase("image")) { String sizeVal = ((Element) detailNode).getAttribute("size"); String url = detailNode.getTextContent(); if (sizeVal.equalsIgnoreCase("large")) { return url; } } } } } catch (Exception e){ } return null; } The xml function which i call in the above code: public String getXmlFromUrl(String url) { String xml = null; try { DefaultHttpClient httpClient = new DefaultHttpClient(); HttpPost httpPost = new HttpPost(url); HttpResponse httpResponse = httpClient.execute(httpPost); HttpEntity httpEntity = httpResponse.getEntity(); xml = EntityUtils.toString(httpEntity); } catch (UnsupportedEncodingException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } catch (ClientProtocolException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } catch (IOException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } return xml; } getAlbumURL: public static String getAlbumURL(String artist, String album){ return URL_METHOD + METHOD_GETALBUM + AMPERSAND + API_KEY + AMPERSAND + PARAM_ARTIST + artist + AMPERSAND + PARAM_ALBUM + album; } XMLparser: public class XMLParser { // constructor public XMLParser() { } //Get XML from URL public String getXmlFromUrl(String url) { String xml = null; try { DefaultHttpClient httpClient = new DefaultHttpClient(); HttpPost httpPost = new HttpPost(url); HttpResponse httpResponse = httpClient.execute(httpPost); HttpEntity httpEntity = httpResponse.getEntity(); xml = EntityUtils.toString(httpEntity); } catch (UnsupportedEncodingException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } catch (ClientProtocolException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } catch (IOException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } return xml; } //Get dom element public Document getDomElement(String xml){ Document doc = null; DocumentBuilderFactory dbf = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance(); try { DocumentBuilder db = dbf.newDocumentBuilder(); InputSource is = new InputSource(); is.setCharacterStream(new StringReader(xml)); doc = db.parse(is); } catch (ParserConfigurationException e) { Log.e("Error: ", e.getMessage()); return null; } catch (SAXException e) { Log.e("Error: ", e.getMessage()); return null; } catch (IOException e) { Log.e("Error: ", e.getMessage()); return null; } return doc; } //Get nod element public final String getElementValue(Node elem ) { Node child; if( elem != null){ if (elem.hasChildNodes()){ for( child = elem.getFirstChild(); child != null; child = child.getNextSibling() ){ if( child.getNodeType() == Node.TEXT_NODE ){ return child.getNodeValue(); } } } } return ""; } //Get element value public String getValue(Element item, String str) { NodeList nlList = item.getElementsByTagName(str).item(0).getChildNodes(); Node nValue = (Node) nlList.item(0); return nValue.getNodeValue(); } } Any ideas ?   • Refresh layout while filling it

    - by neutrino
    Hi guys, I have an activity with a HorizontalScrollView. When it opens, I start filling this view (or rather, a container layout inside it) with another views. This is done from another thread by using handler.post. The views are added in bunches of 15, and when there are no more views to add, I start updating them with new data (this is a kind of streaming data from a server). The problem is that the scrollview is empty until all of the views are added. As soon as they are all added and start updating, the scrollview gets drawn. How do I refresh it in the process of adding views? I don't want the screen to be empty for 3 seconds while all of the views are added. Thanks a lot. UPDATE: turned out this problem is not specific for HorizontalScrollView, this is the case for any generic layout.

  • how to check if internal storage file has any data

    - by user3720291
    public class Save extends Activity { int levels = 2; int data_block = 1024; //char[] data = new char[] {'0', '0'}; String blankval = "0"; String targetval = "0"; String temp; String tempwrite; String string = "null"; TextView tex1; TextView tex2; @Override protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.save); Intent intent = getIntent(); Bundle b = intent.getExtras(); tex1 = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.textView1); tex2 = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.textView2); if(b!=null) { string =(String) b.get("string"); } loadprev(); save(); } public void save() { if (string.equals("Blank")) blankval = "1"; if (string.equals("Target")) targetval = "1"; temp = blankval + targetval; try { FileOutputStream fos = openFileOutput("data.gds", MODE_PRIVATE); fos.write(temp.getBytes()); fos.close(); } catch (FileNotFoundException e) {e.printStackTrace();} catch (IOException e) {e.printStackTrace();} tex1.setText(blankval); tex2.setText(targetval); } public void loadprev() { String final_data = ""; try { FileInputStream fis = openFileInput("data.gds"); InputStreamReader isr = new InputStreamReader(fis); char[] data = new char[data_block]; int size; while((size = isr.read(data))>0) { String read_data = String.copyValueOf(data, 0, size); final_data += read_data; data = new char[data_block]; } } catch (FileNotFoundException e) {e.printStackTrace();} catch (IOException e) {e.printStackTrace();} char[] tempread = final_data.toCharArray();; blankval = "" + tempread[0]; targetval = "" + tempread[1]; } } After much tinkering i have finally managed to get my save/load function to work, but it does have an error, pretty much i got it to work then i did a fresh reintall deleting data.gds, afterwards the save/load function crashes because the data.gds file has no previous values. can i use a if statment to check if data.gds has any values in it, if so how do i do it and if not, then what could i use instead?

  • How to test onLowMemory conditions?

    - by Samuh
    I have put some instructions in onLowMemory() callback and want to test the same. Is there a "direct" way to test onLowMemory function of the application subclass? Or will I have to just overload the phone by starting many apps and doing memory intensive tasks? Thanks.

  • Call an IOUSBDeviceInterface function on an obj-c object instead of a C structure

    - by b1onic
    Let's say I want to close an USB device. Here is a C structure representing the USB device: struct __USBDevice { uint16_t idProduct; io_service_t usbService; IOUSBDeviceInterface **deviceHandle; IOUSBInterfaceInterface **interfaceHandle; Boolean open; }; typedef struct __USBDevice *USBDeviceRef; Here is the code to close the device: // device is a USBDeviceRef structure // USBDeviceClose is a function member of IOUSBDeviceInterface C Pseudoclass (*device->deviceHandle)->USBDeviceClose(device->deviceHandle); Now imagine that the device properties are declared in an obj-c class @interface Device : NSObject { NSNumber idProduct io_service_t usbService; IOUSBDeviceInterface **deviceHandle; IOUSBInterfaceInterface **interfaceHandle; BOOL open; } @end How would I do to call USBDeviceClose() ?

  • Dealing w/ Sqlite Join results in a cursor

    - by Bill
    I have a one-many relationship in my local Sqlite db. Pretty basic stuff. When I do my left outer join I get back results that look like this: the resulting cursor has multiple rows that look like this: A1.id | A1.column1 | A1.column2 | B1.a_id_fk | B1.column1 | B1.column2 A1.id | A1.column1 | A1.column2 | B2.a_id_fk | B2.column1 | B2.column2 and so on... Is there a standard practice or method of dealing with results like this ? Clearly there is only A1, but it has many B-n relationships. I am coming close to using multiple queries instead of the "relational db way". Hopefully I am just not aware of the better way to do things. I intend to expose this query via a content provider and I would hate for all of the consumers to have to write the same aggregation logic.

  • How to get path to wallpaper

    - by kentcdodds
    My Question: How do you get the filepath to the current wallpaper? Expansion: I'm writing an app that will let you change the wallpaper easily between different presets. I want to store the filepath of the available wallpapers in my database. What I've tried: WallpaperManger.getWallpaperInfo() or WallpaperManger.getDrawable(). Neither seem to contain the actual location of the file. Any help would be appreciated! :D Thanks! Also, I'm including live-wallpapers. Thanks!

  • Reading from txt ruins formatting

    - by Sorin Grecu
    I'm saving some values to a txt file and after that i want to be able to show it in a dialog.All good,done that but though the values in the txt file are formated nicely,like this : Aaaaaaaa 0.55 1 Bbbbb 1 2.2 CCCCCCCCC 3 0.22 When reading and setting them to a textview they get all messy like this : Aaaaaaaa 0.55 1 Bbbbb 1 2.2 CCCCCCCCC 3 0.22 My writting method : FileOutputStream f = new FileOutputStream(file); PrintWriter pw = new PrintWriter(f); for (int n = 0; n < allpret.size() - 1; n++) { if (cant[n] != Float.toString(0) && pret[n] != Float.toString(0)) { String myFormat = "%-20s %-5s %-5s%n"; pw.println(String.format(myFormat, prod[n], cant[n], pret[n])); My reading method : StringBuilder text = new StringBuilder(); try { BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader(new FileReader(file)); String line; while ((line = br.readLine()) != null) { text.append(line); text.append('\n'); } } catch (IOException e) { } Why does it ruin the amount of spaces and how can i fix this ?   • GoogleAuthUtil: Daily Limit for Unauthenticated Use Exceeded

    - by Copa
    I am using the Google Client API and the GoogleAuthUtil.class to get access to the user's Google Drive Account. String scope = "oauth2:" + DriveScopes.DRIVE; String token = GoogleAuthUtil.getToken(getContext(), account.name, scope); This is the whole magic. It worked the whole day but since a couple of hours I receive the following message when sending API calls: com.google.api.client.googleapis.json.GoogleJsonResponseException: 403 Forbidden { "code": 403, "errors": [ { "domain": "usageLimits", "message": "Daily Limit for Unauthenticated Use Exceeded. Continued use requires signup.", "reason": "dailyLimitExceededUnreg", "extendedHelp": "https://code.google.com/apis/console" } ], "message": "Daily Limit for Unauthenticated Use Exceeded. Continued use requires signup." } I dont know how to use a API Key from the console instead of an oauth2 authentication. There are two different "getToken()" messages. One has four parameters and the description for the last one says: extras: Bundle containing additional information that may be relevant to the authentication scope. But what do these information should look like? What informations do I have to put in the Bundle?

  • Dashboard pattern: HorizontalScrollView with pagination or ScrollView?

    - by Macarse
    I am starting a new application and I am willing to use the Dashboard pattern. For example: The Google IO app uses it: My issue is that the amount of buttons will be more than six. I'm not sure if I should use vertical or horizontal scrolling. Vertical scrolling could be done with a ScrollView or a GridView but I am not sure which would be the easier way to implement the horizontal version. I was thinking of using an HorizontalScrollView but it doesn't have pagination. It should feel similar to the tweetdeck app. How would you implement it?

  • Overriding Home button for a Car Home replacement app

    - by BigFwoosh
    I have been working on a replacement for the stock Car Home app for a bit, and I am completely stumped on how to override the Home button so that my app will be brought back to the foreground whenever the phone is docked. This is the way that Car Home works, so there must be a way. It seems that BroadcastReceivers won't work, because the intent that is broadcast whenever the Home button is pressed will still cause the default homescreen app to launch; I cannot prevent it. I can override the Home button from within my app, but that does me no good since this needs to work when the user is outside my app. Car Home also does not do anything weird like set itself as the default homescreen app while it's running (I checked the logcat to make sure). I've been really beating my head against the wall on this. Does anyone have any ideas, or can you at least point me in the right direction?

  • how to pause and stop a changing ImageView

    - by user270811
    hi, i have an ImageView in which the picture switches every 5s, i am trying to add a pause and resume button that can stop and restart the action. i am using a Handler, Runnable, and postDelay() for image switch, and i put the code on onResume. i am thinking about using wait and notify for the pause and resume, but that would mean creating an extra thread. so far for the thread, i have this: class RecipeDisplayThread extends Thread { boolean pleaseWait = false; // This method is called when the thread runs public void run() { while (true) { // Do work // Check if should wait synchronized (this) { while (pleaseWait) { try { wait(); } catch (Exception e) { } } } // Do work } } } and in the main activity's onCreate(): Button pauseButton = (Button) findViewById(R.id.pause); pauseButton.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() { public void onClick(View view) { while (true) { synchronized (thread) { thread.pleaseWait = true; } } } }); Button resumeButton = (Button) findViewById(R.id.resume); resumeButton.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() { public void onClick(View view) { while (true) { // Resume the thread synchronized (thread) { thread.pleaseWait = false; thread.notify(); } } } }); the pause button seems to work, but then after that i can't press any other button, such as the resume button. thanks.

  • Reverse lookup of inode/file from offset in raw device on linux and ext3/4?

    - by lilinjn
    In linux, given an offset into a raw disk device, is it possible to map back to an partition + inode? For example, suppose I know that string "xyz" is contained at byte offset 1000000 on /dev/sda: (e.g. xxd -l 100 -s 1000000 /dev/sda shows a dump that begins with "xyz") 1) How do I figure out which partition (if any) offset 1000000 is located in?(I imagine this is easy, but am including it for completeness) 2) Assuming the offset is located in a partition, how do I go about finding which inode it belongs to (or determine that it is part of free space) ? Presumably this is filesystem specific, in which case does any one know how to do this for ext4 and ext3?

  • change view with onSensorChanged result

    - by tipu
    I have a view, set by setContentView(new CompassView(this)); I have the onDraw and update methods filled out. What I need to do with the view CompassView is update my view with the new data at the end of the call in the onSensorChanged method. The methods I have to fill out, I believe, are the surfaceChanged and surfaceCreated. They are normally using threads which takes care of the update and onDraw calls but I removed the thread because when the thread was enabled, in the infinite while loop I was never getting any azimuth value what so ever.
