• Why is HttpContext.Current.Session available in HttpModule but not in Response.Filter?

  I have written an HttpModule that adds a response filter. The filter is capturing page output and storing it in a session variable. I am able to access HttpContext.Current.Session in my HttpModule. The HttpModule is handling the PostAcquireRequestState event. I am still able to access HttpContext.Current.Session in the PostAcquireRequestState event. I am adding a custom stream that inherits from Stream to Response.Filter HttpContext.Current.Session is null when accessed from the Stream.Write method. Everything worked fine when using an InProc SessionState. However, I now must use StateServer. Using StateServer, the code is now broken. Any ideas?

• How to inject dependencies into a CustomUserNamePasswordValidator in WCF?

  I'm using a UserNamePasswordValidator in WCF along with Unity for my dependency injection, but since WCF creates the instance of the UserNamePasswordValidator, I cannot inject my container into the class. So how would one go about this? The simplest solution I can think of is to create a static proxy/wrapper class around a static instance of a UnityContainer, which exposes all the same methods... This way, any class can access the container, and I don't need to inject it everywhere. So I could just do UnityContainerWrapper.Resolve() anywhere in code. So basically this solution solves 2 problems for me, I can use it in classes that I'm not creating an instance of, and I can use it anywhere without having to inject the container into a bunch of classes. The only downside I can think of is that I'm now potentially exposing my container to a bunch of classes that wouldn't of had access to the container before. Not really sure if this is even a problem though?

  Hi, I have a table in MySql DB which I want to load it to a dictionary in python. the table columns is as follows: id,url,tag,tagCount tagCount is the number of times that a tag has been repeated for a certain url. So in that case I need a nested dictionary, in other words a dictionary of dictionary, to load this table. • Removing the email validation requirement - Login Toboggan

  I'm building a premium membership site where a visitor can purchase a role and gain access to the privileged content using ubercart. I've got all that working fine, but the last tiny snag that my client wants to remove is to remove the validation email requirement that's fired when someone signs up on the site in Login Toboggan (6.1.9). I've got nothing set that is forcing this extra step and I've come to believe that this may be a feature in Drupal (acquia distro 6.22) core for any user that registers. I was hoping that this module (login toboggan) would eliminate that step but I've not as of yet been able to do so. I can allow the newly registered user access by setting that in the module, but the notification and validation email requirement still remains. Can anyone recommend a way around this? I just want them to be able to come to the site purchase their membership without any validation/confirmation email. Is this possible? Thanks - Rob

  I m trying to make a utility to generate a Insert script of sql tables along with relational table. I got all the values in c#. Now I want to remove the one column name and its value from the script.most probably the identity column. Eg. The string I have (which keeps on changing with table name and varies) INSERT Core.Customers ([customerId],[customername],[customeradress],[ordernumber]) Values(123,N'Rahul',N'244 LIZ MORN',2334) NOW I know I have to remove CustomerId. (sometimes need to be replaces with @somevariable) Please give me an efficient way how to retrieve customerId value and Deleting column name and value . Conditions: insert script length and columns names keep changing. Method should return the deleted value. At some point of time customer id can be same as order id. In that case my string.remove method fails.

• Call phpexcel from joomla

  i have a problem about phpexcel and joomla. I'm developing some filter form to load excel reports, so i used phpexcel library to do this. Right now i have only a report, it works fine, but after that i upload inside joomla using PHP pages component that allows me to put php files inside joomla and call it. When i put them, i change a little bit the form that calls the php that generates the excel report, i call the php using a link like this: h**p://www.whiblix.com/index.php?option=com_php&Itemid=24 That is, calling it from Joomla, not directly the php. If i wanna call the php directly i could use this path: h**p://www.whiblix.com/components/com_php/files/repImportaciones.php What's the problem? The problem is, when i call the php that generates the excel through joomla, the excel that is downloaded is corrupt and only shows symbols in one cell when i open it. But if i call the php directly the report is generated fine. I could call the php directly, the problem is that if i call it directly i can't use this line of code: defined( '_JEXEC' ) or die( 'Restricted access' ); That is used to deny the direct access to php from call it directly, because it doesn' work because the security. Where's the problem?   I'm new to Objective C, and I seem to be struggling with accessing a method of an object I created. I'm checking out the documentation , but I'm not entirely sure tha tthis is a job for a delegate. For example I have an object (1) that creates another object (2). I can access a method of the object (2) after I create it, but I can't access it from a method of object (1). I get a error that the object was not defined in this scope. If anyone can help I greatly appreciate it. I just need a nudge in the right direction so that I can at least get a grasp on how to think about the interaction between the objects.

I have given the strong name for this dll and its dependent dll’s When I access the method of this dll through localhost or if I add the reference to the client project the method are executed successfully. Simply if I access the dll from the same machine with the reference it is working. So I think there is no problem with the way I deployed in the COM +. • Handling user security scope with nHibernate or other ORM

  How should one handle the situation where you may need to filter by a group of users. Here is the scenario. I have an administrator role in my company. I should be able to see all the data belonging to me plus all the other users who I have control over. A plain old user however should only be able to access their own data. If you are writing regular sql statements then you can have a security table with every user and who they have access too but i'm not sure how to handle this situation in the OO and ORM world. Any one dealt with this scenario in a web application using an ORM? Would love to hear your thoughts!

• SQL Server 2008 GUID column is all 0's

  I'm hoping this is a simple goof I did on my end ... I have a table in my database set up like so: column name: widget_guid data type: uniqueidentifier allow nulls: false default value: newid() identity: false row guid: true When records are created (via LINQ to SQL) that the values in this field are formatted as a GUID but contain all 0's My assumption was that when a new record was created, that a guid would be autogenerated for that column, much like an auto-incrementing row id. Is this not true? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  I got following infrastructure. Site A - Tomcat. Can be access by url www.sitea.com Site B - php backend( or probably it will be just static html pages ). Can't be access directly. I want to forward all request comming to www.sitea.com/doforward/... (Tomcat) to php backend. And all other requests with other urls should be handled by Tomcat itself. I know i can add another web server in front of tomcat, for example nginx, and based on url forward request to php backed or tomcat backend. But i want tomcat to serve requests itself and forward it to another backend. Probably there are ready implementations for servlet containers like mod_proxy for apache. Thank you

• Creating compound applications in Windows 7

  I need to port a suite of Windows applications (running under XP with little security turned on) to Windows 7 with various levels of security, depending on how our clients may configure it. Each functional area is a seperate executable or DLL that is downloaded and registered by a central 'compound' application. This means that the different parts are all joined together to form in effect a large single application. My problem is that the compound application knows about the other applications via COM registery, either as a typelibrary or as OCXs, where appropriate. I have tried several questions here to try and solve the problems I am getting, but I don't seem to be able to get around the problem of needing elevated access to register applications and access the registry. Our clients will be expecting the same (relatively) seemless download and activation process as current under XP. So does anyone have a solution for registering typelibraries and OCX controls without need to go through an elevation process. Thanks in advance

• Auto-generated values for columns in database

  Is it a good practice to initialize columns that we can know their values in database, for example identity columns of type unique identifier can have a default value (NEWID()), or columns that shows the record create date can have a default value (GETDATE()). Should I go through all my tables and do this whereever I am sure that I won't need to assign the value manually and the Auto-generated value is correct. I am also thinking about using linq-to-sql classes and setting the "Auto Generated Value" property of these columns to true. Maybe this is what everybody already knows or maybe I am asking a question about a fundamental issue, if so please tell me.

  Hello I am using Dreamweaver CS5 with Coldfusion 9 to build a dynamic website. I have a MS Access Database that stores login information which includes ID, FullName, FirstName, LastName, Username, Pawword, AcessLevels. My question is this: I currently have session variable to track the Username when it is entered into the login page. However I would like to use that Username to pull the User's FullName to display throughout the web pages and use for querying data. How do I change the session variable to read that when they are not entering their FullName on the login page but only Username and password. I have listed my login information code below if there is any additional information needed please let me know. • SQL Query - 20mil records - Best practice to return information

  I have a SQL database that has the following table: Table: PhoneRecords ID(identity Seed) FirstName LastName PhoneNumber ZipCode Very simple straight forward table. This table has over 20million records. I am looking for the best way to do queries that pull out records based off area codes from the table. For instance here is an example query that I have done. SELECT phonenumber, firstname FROM [PhoneRecords] WHERE (phone LIKE '2012042%') OR (phone LIKE '2012046%') OR (phone LIKE '2012047%') OR (phone LIKE '2012083%') OR (phone LIKE '2012088%') OR (phone LIKE '2012841%') As you can see this is an ugly query, but it would get the job done (if I wasn't running into timeout issues) Can anyone tell me the best way for speed/optimization to do the above query to display the results? Currently that query above takes around 2 hours to complete on a 9gb 1600mhz ram, i7 930 quadcore OC'd 4.01ghz. I obviously have the computer power required to do such a query, but still takes too long for queries.

I currently have in Cocoa the ability to traverse these nodes, but I'm at a loss at how I can access the data in the MOVIE NSXMLNodes. Is there a way I can dump all of the values from each NSXMLNode into a Hashtable and retrieve values that way? Am using NSXMLDocument and NSXMLNodes.
