  • OnTouch event consumes click event and prevents execution in parent

    I'm having a FrameLayout that has an extended ImageView (github) as a child. When I set an onClick()-Event to the FrameLayout it won't be triggered. The reason appears to be the onTouch() method's return value. If I set the ACTION_DOWN's return value to false the event is passed along properly - but then the Multitouch functionalities break. Also running performClick() in the ACTION_UP event comes to nothing. How to handle those events correctly?

    I have a string value coming from a label in the .aspx page as following. string text = Price.Text; // Price.Text = "$31.07" Single value = Convert.ToSingle(text); //throws FormatException I can replace the $ sign with the empty text and then Convert to Single but I was wondering if there is better way to de-format the text with the '$' sign into a Single.

    Simple question really - how do I use the select(ActionView::Helpers::FormOptionsHelper) with grouped options? I have got it working with a select_tag (ActionView::Helpers::FormTagHelper) but I would really like to have it using a select tag to match the rest of the form. Is this possible?     I am facing a peculiar problem where i need to update a particular value in database to say 'Hellò'. When i run normal update statement the values are updated fine. But when i put it i a .sql script file and then run the update statement the last character gets replaced by a junk value. Can some one enlighten me on this and how oracle processes script files?

    I am writing my first Spring 3.0.5 MVC app and am confused about why my controller mappings aren't doing what I expect.     My problem is since an enum in objective-c essentially is an int value, I am not able to store it in a NSMutableArray. Apparently NSMutableArray won't take any c-date types like an int.   • ASP.NET Performance, 100 "Memory Hard Faults" indiciate a memory swapping problem?

    With a customer web site we currently experiences performance problems. While analyzing the problem we found an unexpected amount of of 112 "Memory Hard Faults" per minute. Does anybody can interpret the meaning of this value? Does this happen, when memory swapping is necessary - so the root cause is not sufficient memory? Even if the CPU value seems high, it is not the main problem for the slow web site. Do you agree?

    This seems like a fairly simple question, and I'm surprised not to have required it before. What is the most efficient way of testing a string input is a numeric (or conversely Not A Number). I guess I can do a Double.Parse or a regex (see below) public static bool IsNumeric(this string value) { return Regex.IsMatch(value, "^\\d+$"); } but I was wondering if there was a implemented way to do it, such as javascript's NaN() or IsNumeric() (was that VB, I can't remember).
