• VS2010 changes your ASP.NET Version on setup projects to 4 - regardless

  When converting your projects to VS2010 you get the question to migrate them to .net4. But even if you do not do that VS set the ASP.NET version to 4 for setup projects. And then when you try to install your application on a machine that does not have .NET 4 installed you will get the error message: “Could not open key: Software\Microsoft\ASP.NET\4.0.30128.0. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel” What you need to do is to change the ASP.NET version back to 2.0 if that is what you want to use. You do that in the properties of the setup project.

• Shrinking windows and recovery partitions on the samsung new series 9

  I just bought a samsung NP900X3C, and as I was going to install linux, I noticed the windows partitions and recovery partitions occupied a major portion of the disk. The disk is a 128 GB SSD, and I want to keep the windows partition in order to play some games once in a while, but the windows disk is already 45GB full (with no installed programs) and the recovery partition is 20GB. That leaves under 60 GB for linux, which is not optimal, since that is what I'm going to be using most of the time, and there would be no room for games on the windows partition. There are also two small partitions that I don't know what are doing, one 100mb at the start of the disk that I'm guessing is some kind of boot partition, and one 5GB, that is described as an OS/2 hidden C: drive What I'm wondering is: can i delete the recovery partition? What about the mystical 5gb partition?   Microsoft has recently launched Razor view engine with ASP.NET MVC RC2. It’s going to be promising one. There are lots of features bundled with this view engine. But in earlier version of ASP.NET 3 MVC. We were are not having Synatx intellisense provided for asp.net mvc views  in Visual Studio 2010. So either we have to depend third party tools like Resharper or we have to manage it without intellisesnse. But with ASP.NET MVC 3 RC2 Microsoft has moved one step forward and its providing syntax intellisense without installing any third party addons in Visual Studio. Here is example of it. When I click on the button, the pane I was in, closes and reloads the page, defaulting to the first pane. I don't mind the reload, but is there a way to keep the current pane open after the reload. Right now, I am just calling accordion() on a div with the id of accordion.

When I try to make a request that is supposed to be handled by the asp.net engine, i get a 404 error from the StaticFile handler Here is the content of my web.config file.   Hi I have a ClassLibrary in my ASP.NET Web Application solution , Recently when i do some changes in that ClassLibrary and rebuilt that , That doesn't affect the solution . While debuging and tracing instead of going into method of that ClassLibrary , i face "Disassembly" page . I delete Temporary ASP.NET File's folder and Removed the class library from the solution and i added again several times ,But No difference could you help me at this please ?

  Ok, everything is 'functionally' working with what I am attempting to accomplish and once again, I am sure this is something dumb, but I cannot figure out how to do this one thing. I have an edit form for an entity, lets say a car. This 'car' can have 0 - many passengers. So on my edit form, I have all the fields for the car, then a list view showing each passenger (partial). I also have a 'add new passenger' button that will render a new partial view that allows you to enter a passenger. This has a cancel link and an add button to submit an Ajax form. When you add a passenger, the passenger is automatically added to the list, but I need the enter passenger form to go away. I have tried using the onSuccess and onComplete functions to hide the div that the form is in, but both render just the partial view HTML elements (white screen, text) and not the partialView in the context of the entire page. • Any good libraries for parsing JSON in Classic ASP?

  I've been able to find a zillion libraries for generating JSON in Classic ASP (VBScript) but I haven't been to find ANY for parsing. I want something that I can pass a JSON string and get back a VBScript object of some sort (Array, Scripting.Dictionary, etc) Can anyone recommend a library for parsing JSON in Classic ASP?
