The problem is I do not want a specific paramater to do this (i.e Hide column X True/False) My report has several diffrent "departments" who are only intrested in certain columns. I have hidden the row based on an expression on the row visibility, where the row is hidden if: =IIF(IIF(ReportItems!CUST_CNT2.Value = 0, 0, ReportItems!Total_Contribution5.Value / IIF(ReportItems!CUST_CNT2.Value = 0, 1, ReportItems!CUST_CNT2.Value)) > 0, True, False) So basically the column totals for the report just total up all rows including this above row that I have hidden, and I need the total to exclude this row. Any ideas?

MyService serviceproxy = new MyService(); When I instantiate the service proxy, I get an InvalidOperationException with the following text (translated from german): Could not find default endpoint element to the contract "ServiceName.ServiceInterface" in the service model refers client configuration section. This may be because: The application configuration file was not found or not an endpoint in the client element item is found, which corresponded to this contract. Where servicename is the name I give the service when I add it in vs2008 and ServiceInterface the interface which is automatically generated for it.

I have not used Thread Pool. I wanted to know when windows service is stopped, then how to identify how many threads are running and whether they are complete. If all the threads are executed then windows service can be stopped successfully. Otherwis windows service should wait until all threads are executed or aborted. How to implement this.

    I am trying to design a RESTful filesystem-like service, and copy/move operations are causing me some trouble. First of all, uploading a new file is done using a PUT to the file's ultimate URL: PUT /folders/42/contents/<name> The question is, what if the new file already resides on the system under a different URL? Copy/move Idea 1: PUTs with custom headers. This is similar to S3's copy. A PUT that looks the same as the upload, but with a custom header: PUT /folders/42/contents/<name> X-custom-source: /files/5 This is nice because it's easy to change the file's name at copy/move time. However, S3 doesn't offer a move operation, perhaps because a move using this scheme won't be idempotent. Copy/move Idea 2: POST to parent folder. This is similar to the Google Docs copy. A POST to the destination folder with XML content describing the source file: POST /folders/42/contents ... <source>/files/5</source> <newName>foo</newName> I might be able to POST to the file's new URL to change its name..? Otherwise I'm stuck with specifying a new name in the XML content, which amplifies the RPCness of this idea. It's also not as consistent with the upload operation as idea 1. Ultimately I'm looking for something that's easy to use and understand, so in addition to criticism of the above, new ideas are certainly welcome!

    Hi guys, I have deployed successfully a C# windows service on a windows 7 machine. Now, when I try to create a file using this code : FileStream os = new FileStream(String.Format(folderName, fileName), FileMode.Create); I get Access to filepath is denied. In the service Installer I set the following parameters to : this.serviceProcessInstaller1.Account = System.ServiceProcess.ServiceAccount.LocalSystem; this.serviceProcessInstaller1.Password = "Pass"; this.serviceProcessInstaller1.Username = "Administrator" I added all the possible accounts with Full permissions to the folder where I want to create the file but nothing helped. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated

  • INDY WebService over SSL contains link with HTTP protocol instead of HTTPS in WSDL

    When creating new SOAP WebService server project using Delphi XE2 the wizard allows to set change port and HTTPS properties. Port is set to 443, HTTPS flag is checked, but when trying to connect to created server it returns incorrect transport (HTTP instead of HTTPS) in WSDL and generates HTTP links on the Service Info Page. The auto-generated page is not so important, but wrong information in WSDL file is a problem.     I have this MDX query: Exists([Group].[Group Hierarchy].allmembers, {[Group].[Group Full Name].&[121 - Group A], [Group].[Group Full Name].&[700000 - Group C]}) ... which works fine EXCEPT that it returns all of the ancestors of the specified groups as well. What I want is to return JUST the groups from the hierarchy with the specified Group Names (this is a type 2 dimension so there may be many at different levels). Any ideas?

  • How to put 1000 lightweight server applications in the cloud

    The company I work for sells a commercial desktop/server app that runs on any non dedicated Windows PC or server and uses Tomcat for all interactions with the application. Customers are asking that we host their instance of the application so they don't have to run it locally on their own servers. The app is lightweight and an average server, in theory, could handle 25-50 instances before users would notice a slowdown. However only 1 instance can run per Windows instance (because the application writes to a common registry branch) so we'd need something like VMWare to create 25-50 Windows instances. We know we eventually need to reprogram to make it truly cloud-worthy but what would you recommend for a server farm or whatever for this? We don't have the setup to purchase our own servers so we must use a 3rd party. We have budgeted $500 - $1000 per year per customer for this service.   • Question about Reporting and Data Warehousing Software bundled with SQL Server 2005

    We currently use SQL Server 2005 Enterprise for our fairly large application, that has its roots in pre SQL Server 7.0. The tables are normalized and designed mainly for the application. The developers for the most part have the legacy SQL Server mindset. Only using the part of TSQL that existed back in 7.0, not using any of the new features of tsql or that are bundled with 2005. We're currently trying to build on demand reports using some crappy third party software, and will eventually try to build a data warehouse using more of the same crappy third party software (name removed to protect the guilty, don't ask I will not tell). The rationale for this was that we didn't want to spend more money to buy this additional software from Microsoft (this was not my decision, I had no input, but is my problem now). But from what I can tell is that Enterprise includes all of these tools, or am I missing something? What comes bundled with SQL Server 2005 Enterprise as far as reporting and data warehousing? Will we need to purchase anything else? is there actually anything else that can be purchased from Microsoft in this regard?

    Hi everybody, I found a lot of detailed examples online on how to sign an Amazon CloudFront URL for private content. Unfortunately, whenever I implement these examples my URL doesn't seem to work. The resource path is correct because I can download the file when it is set for world read, but the URL doesn't work when set just for authorized users. The PHP code I am using is below.     The scenario: Big system (~200 tables). 60,000 users. Complex reports that will require me to do multiple queries for each report and even those will be complex queries with inner queries all over the place + some processing in PHP. I have seen an approach, which I am not sure about: Having one centralized, de-normalized, table that registers any activity in the system which is reportable. This table will hold mostly foreign keys, so she should be fairly compact and fast. So, for example (My system is a virtual learning management system), A user enrolls to course, the table stores the user id, date, course id, organization id, activity type (enrollment). Of course I also store this data in a normalized DB, which the actual application uses. Pros I see: easy, maintainable queries and code to process data and fast retrieval.
