• How can I know which Area my MVC controller action is being called in?

  I want to know how, from a controller action, I could identify the area in which the controller is in via the MVC framework (I mean, without making all controllers in a given area inherit from a base controller with that info). • spring mvc simpleformcontroller - how to stop execution when exception thrown

  Hi I am using simpleformcontroller and get exception thrown in my OnSubmit method. This does not seem to stop the simpleformcontroler process as it redisplays my form. I can see from log4j output that the exception is getting caught and forwarding to my error page as expected. I can also tell the onSubmit method does not continue after the exception. Which is all good. But i do not see the error page as the simpleformcontroller starts up again and goes through processing for a new form (i can see in log4j ouput Spring log statements 'Displaying New form', 'Creating new command of class ..'. The normal form page is then displayed again. So the problem is that the exception does not seem to terminate the SimpleFormController, it carries on to display the form again. Anyone help?   Hi, I am changing the image in UIImageView based on accelerometer input. The images are stored in an array. The application runs fine for a while and then crashes. warning: check_safe_call: could not restore current frame I am not using "UIImage ImageNamed" method when populating the array. The total size of all images is around 12 Mb. But individual images are very light (<100 kb) and i am using only one image at a time from the array. Just in case there are any autoreleases, I have allocated a NSAutoreleasePool in view did load and am draining it in the didReceiveMemoryWarning method (which does get called 2, 3 times before the app crashes?). I found the recursive method (with LEFT JOINs) and the nested method which I barely understood and again I couldn't apply it to the Drill Down Menu.   I'm trying to build an application that builds a resource file into a jar, but I'd like to have the project runnable within eclipse. I have a basic maven 2 structure for my project, and I'm unsure how to read in the file such that it's found and used when run from the JAR or from within eclipse. Thought? Structure: src/main/java src/main/resources/file.txt Current reading method: getClass().getResourceAsStream("/file.txt") Is there reading method that will pick up src/main/resources/*, as well as the root level of the JAR (where resources are deployed)?

• Android getWifiState to String

  I am attempting to get the string representation of an Android device's current WiFi state. I am using the getWifiState() method of the WiFiManager and am getting an integer returned depending on the current state. This makes total sense as getWifiState() is supposed to return an integer. The method's documentation indicates that the possible return values translate to one of the following constant values 0 WIFI_STATE_DISABLING 1 WIFI_STATE_DISABLED 2 WIFI_STATE_ENABLING 3 WIFI_STATE_ENABLED 4 WIFI_STATE_UNKNOWN Is there an easy way to translate the integer returned from getWiFiState() to a string representation? I've looked at getIntExtra but am unsure of its use.

• ASP.NET MVC TDD with LINQ and SQL database

  I am trying to start a new MVC project with tests and I thought the best way to go would have 2 databases. 1 for testing against and 1 for when I run the app and use it (also test really as it's not production yet). For the test database I was thinking of putting create table scripts and fill data scripts within the test setup method and then deleting all this in the tear down method. I am going to be using Linq to SQL though and I don't think that will allow me to do this? Will I have to just go the ADO route if I want to do it this way? Or should I just use a mock object and store data as an array or something?. Any tips on best practices? How did Jeff go about doing this for StackOveflow?

• Brainstorming: Weird JPA problem, possibly classpath or jar versioning problem???

  I'm seeing a weird error message and am looking for some ideas as to what the problem could be. I'm sort of new to using the JPA. I have an application where I'm using Spring's Entity Manager Factory (LocalContainerEntityManagerFactoryBean), EclipseLink as my ORM provider, connected to a MySQL DB and built with Maven. I'm not sure if any of this matters..... When I deploy this application to Glassfish, the application works as expected. The problem is, I've created a set of stand alone unit tests to run outside of Glassfish that aren't working correctly. I get the following error (I've edited the class names a little) com.xyz.abc.services.persistence.entity.MyEntity cannot be cast to com.xyz.abc.services.persistence.entity.MyEntity The object cannot be cast to a class of the same type? How can that be?   Hello, I have created an simple web server, leveraging .NET HttpListener class. I am using ThreadPool.QueueUserWorkItem() to spawn a thread to listen to incoming requests. Threaded method uses HttpListener.BeginGetContext(callback, listener), and in callback method I resume with HttpListener.EndGetContext() as well as raise an even to notify UI that listener received data. This is the question - how to raise that event? Initially I used ThreadPool: ThreadPool.QueueUserWorkItem(state => ReceivedRequest(httpListenerContext, receivedRequestArgs)); But then started to doubt, maybe it should be a dedicated thread (as appose to waiting for a thread from pool): new Thread(() => ReceivedRequest(httpListenerContext, receivedRequestArgs)).Start(); Thoughts? 10X

The rule engines have various rules and associated action, just like you have rules in the grammars and you can associate actions with them in parser-generator tools like ANTLR. Each time I try to call the ListChildren method I get an insuffient permission exception.
