  • Getting namespace name not found for ASP.net user control

    So I'm having problems when I try to publish the website. I'm in visual studio 2008 sp1. I've got a bunch of user controls and on a few pages I'm using them programatically. I've got a reference on the aspx page <%@ Reference Control="~/UserControls/Foo.ascx" % Then on the code behing I use ASP.usercontrols_foo newFoo control = (ASP.usercontrols_foo)Page.LoadControl("~/UserControls/Foo.ascx"); If I navigate to the page it works fine, but when I goto publish the website I get a compile time error.

    Hi, I have a WPF application and a worker thread. The worker thread invokes a callback on the UI thread, which opens a new dialog. Works fine on Win7, but on XP it will crash. In worker thread: someWpfDialogInstance.Dispatcher.BeginInvoke(openSomeDialogCallback, null); Does someone knows a solution or a workaround for this problem?

  • Reporting Services as PDF through WebRequest in C# 3.5 "Not Supported File Type"

    I've inherited a legacy application that is supposed to grab an on the fly pdf from a reporting services server. Everything works fine up until the point where you try to open the pdf being returned and adobe acrobat tells you: Adobe Reader could not open 'thisStoopidReport'.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged(for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded). I've done some initial troubleshooting on this. If I replace the url in the WebRequest.Create() call with a valid pdf file on my local machine ie: @"C:temp/validpdf.pdf") then I get a valid PDF. The report itself seems to work fine. If I manually type the URL to the reporting services report that should generate the pdf file I am prompted for user authentication. But after supplying it I get a valid pdf file. I've replace the actual url,username,userpass and domain strings in the code below with bogus values for obvious reasons.   • mysql - funny square characters added to the value when inserting it into table

    Hi, I have a php script that inserts values into mySQL table INSERT INTO stories (title) VALUES('$_REQUEST[title]); I checked the values of my request variables before going into the table and it's fine. But when I add title=john to the table for example, I get something like this: title = "[][][][]john" and when I extract the value, it's a newline then john. I have my columns set to utf-8, I tried swedish character set as well. Note: I don't get this error when inserting values from the phpMyAdmin commandline

  • Sharepoint custom page Full postback with SPGridVIew depite the presence of update panel

    Hi all I have a custom sharepoint aspx page that has a dropdownlist and a SPGridView. I put the dropdownlist inside an update panel so when the selected index changes the page does not refresh. It worked fine till I added a SPGridVew to the page with an ObjectDataSource as a datasource for it. after I added the SPGridView the page made full postbacks when the dropdownlist selection changes despite it is inside an update panel what is the reasin for this nand is there any workaround for this ? thanks

  • C# - Possible to use Subinacl or something else (an api maybe?) from C# code?

    I've created a program in C# which creates users and adds them to groups, everything is working fine. But I also want to create a "home folder", which is on another server, and the share will be like this: 81file01/users/username. And of course set the rights of the folder to the newly created AD-user. Now we're using a vb-script to do this, and this part is done with Subinacl, but is there a way to do this through my c# code? I'm using .net 3.5 by the way :)

    for %f in (D:\flexcube1,D:\flexcube2,D:\flexcube3) do xcopy %f D:\o\ /e when i use the following code in command prompt, it works fine. but when i use the same code in a batch file, nothing happens. my batch file simply consists of: for %f in (D:\flexcube1,D:\flexcube2,D:\flexcube3) do xcopy %f D:\o\ /e but it does not work. i dont understand it and i have to use a batch file to copy multiple files. any help is really appreciated

    I have the following code for Android which works fine to play a sound once a button is clicked: Button SoundButton2 = (Button)findViewById(R.id.sound2); SoundButton2.setOnClickListener(new OnClickListener() { public void onClick(View v) { mSoundManager.playSound(2); } }); My problem is that I want the sound to play immediately upon pressing the button (touch down), not when it is released (touch up). Any ideas on how I can accomplish this?

    I have LI that I want to fade out and back in. Within the list item I have some text. This text is positioned absolutely within the LI. The catch is that in IE8 (IE6 and 7 seem fine) I can get everything to fade except the text: http://jsbin.com/esamu/13 If I remove the absolute positioning on the text element (in this case, a P), IE8 then can fade the text properly: http://jsbin.com/esamu/14 Anyone know why this is?     Hi guys I'm retrieving emails and some of my emails have utf encoded text. However even though my page is encoded as utf 8 - in some places when I try to out put utf text I get funny characters like : =?utf-8?B?Rlc6INqp24zYpyDYotm+INin2LMg2YXYs9qp2LHYp9uB2bkg2qnbjCDZhtmC?= =?utf-8?B?2YQg2qnYsdiz2qnYqtuSINuB24zaug==?= Whereas in other areas of the same page it displays fine. WHats going on?

  • iPhone: Push Navigation Controller (w/ TableViewController) onto stack. Is this possible?

    I have a view which contains a UIButton. When this is clicked, it calls a method that loads another NIB. Now, normally, that nib would load a view onto the stack, and everything would be fine. But, I am trying to load a Navigation Controller (so that I can have table views that are multiple levels deep), and all I get it errors. What is the proper method for loading a Navigation Controller and putting it on the top of the stack?

  • Problems using FluentNHibernate + SQLite with .NET4?

    I have a WPF application running with VS2010 .Net3.5 using Nhibernate with FluentNHibernate + SQLite, and all works fine. Now I want to change to use .Net4, but this has turned into a more painful experience then I expected.. When setting up the connection a FluentConfigurationException is thrown from FluentConfiguration.BuildConfiguration saying: An invalid or incomplete configuration was used while creating a SessionFactory. Check PotentialReasons collection, and InnerException for more details. The inner exception gives us more information: Could not create the driver from NHibernate.Driver.SQLite20Driver, NHibernate, Version=2.1.2.4000, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=aa95f207798dfdb4. It has an InnerException again: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. Which again has an InnerException: The IDbCommand and IDbConnection implementation in the assembly System.Data.SQLite could not be found. Ensure that the assembly System.Data.SQLite is located in the application directory or in the Global Assembly Cache. If the assembly is in the GAC, use element in the application configuration file to specify the full name of the assembly. Now - to me it sounds like it doesn't find System.Data.SQLite.dll, but I can't understand this. Everywhere this is referenced I have "Copy Local", and I have verified that it is in every build folder for projects using SQLite. I have also copied it manually to every Debug folder of the solution - without luck. Notes: This is exactly the same code that worked just fine before I upgraded to .Net4. I did see some x64 x86 mismatch problems earlier, but I have switched to use x86 as the target platform and for all referenced dlls. I have verified that all files in the Debug-folder are x86. I have tried the precompiled Fluent dlls, I have tried compiling myself, and I have compiled my own version of Fluent using .Net4. I see that there are also others that have seen this problem, but I haven't really seen any solution yet. After @devio's answer I tried adding a reference to the SQLite dll. This didn't change anything, but I hope I made it right though..   • A .tlb file must be registered?

    Hello, I have a com interop c++ dll that is loaded in c++ throught the .tlb file generated in c#. When I run in my computer it works fine but when I run in a computer that just got formated it gives: WindowsError: exception code 0xe0434f4d Do I have to do something for the .tlb file or its dll to be registered in the system? Something regarding regasm.exe? If so, it is possible to only download regasm.exe and use it? Thanks in advance!

  • Installer Dialog comes up with Scroll bars on 800x480 resolution

    I am building an msi using WISE. The Dialogs appear fine when run on a 1280x800 resolution screen. But when I run the same msi on a 800x480 resolution screen, the installer dialog appears really huge and you cannot see the whole dialog on the screen.However, the dialog now comes up with a vertical and horizontal scrollbar allowing you to scroll and view it fully. Is there any property I need to set to adjust the installer dialog such that it appears properly on both higher and lower resolution screens?
