Also I didn't know about the appengine tag, I'm assuming it was selected by mistake from that JS autosuggestion box (it usually happens with me, I run a P3) my apologies for that too. Hi all, I'm making (or at least trying to make) a Google bookmarks accelerator for IE8, but I keep running into "Internet Explorer could not install this accelerator. There was a problem with the Accelerator's information." Does anyone know why this is happening? • Andorid: the keyboard appeares when the app is started

  I have coded an Android application composed by a LinearLayout(with an editbox and a button) and a ScrollView(with a LinearLayout that contains a TextView). When the app is started the keyboard pops up immediatly and I don't want this to happen. Have you got some advice?? • Symfony2 - PdfBundle not working

  Using Symfony2 and PdfBundle to generate dynamically PDF files, I don't get to generate the files indeed. I guess all the setting up is correctly configured, as I am not getting any "library not found" nor anything on that way... Somehow, what I just get in my page is just the normal html generated as if it was a normal Response rendering. The Pdf() annotation is supposed to give the "special" behavior of creating the PDF file instead of rendering normal HTML. So, having the above code, when I request the route http://www.mysite.com/*...*/pdf, all what I get is the following HTML rendered: <pdf> <dynamic-page> Hello Pedro! </dynamic-page> </pdf> (so a blank HTML page with just the words Hello Pedro! on it. Any clue? Am I doing anything wrong? Is it mandatory to have the alternative *.html.twig apart from the *.pdf.twig version? I don't think so... :(

• jQuery ajaxSubmit ignored by IE8

  Hi there, I am combing the jQuery validation plug-in with the jQuery Form Plugin to submit the form via AJAX. This works perfectly in Firefox & Chrome, but (as usual) Internet Explorer is being a pain. For reasons that are alluding me, IE is ignoring the ajaxSubmit, as a result it submits the form in the normal fashion.   Is there a way to handle the dynamic change of a dropdown for a single row in a grid-based datawindow? Example: NAME LIKABILITY PURCHASED IN COLOUR (Text) (DropDown*) (Text) (Text) Bananas [Good] Hands Yellow [Bad] [Bananas are good] Apples [Good] Bags Red [Bad] Given the above is a grid-based datawindow, where the fields 'NAME','PURCHASED IN' and 'COLOUR' are text fields, where as the 'LIKABILITY' field is a dropdown*. I say dropdown* because the same visual representation can be created by using a DropDownList (hardcoded within the datawindow element at design time), or a DropDownDW (or DDDW, a select statement that can be based on other elements in the datawindow). However, there is no way I can get 'Bananas' having it's 3 dropdowns, while Apples has only 2. If I enter multiple rows of 'Bananas', then all rows have 3 dropdowns, but as soon as I add an Apples row, all dropdowns revert to 2 selections. To attempt to achieve this functionality, I have tried the following options: -- 1) dw_1.Object.likability.values("Good~tG/Bad~tB/Bananas are good~tDRWHO") on ue_itemchange when editing NAME. FAILS: edits all instances of LIKABILITY instead of the current row. -- 2) Duplicate Dropdowns, having one filtered, one unfiltered selection list per row, visible based on NAME selection. FAILS: can't set visibility/overlapping columns on grid-based datawindow. (Source) -- 3) Hard-code display value as Database value, or Vice Versa. Have 'GOOD','BAD','BANANASAREGOOD' as the display and database values, and change handling of options from G, B, DRWHO to these new values. FAILS: 3rd option appears for all rows, still selectable on Apple rows, which is wrong. -- 4) DDDW retrieve list of options for dropdown. Create a DDDW that uses the value of NAME to determine what selections it should have for the dropdown. FAILS: edits all instances of the dropdown, not just the current row. -- 5) DDDW retrieve counter of options available (if B then 3 else 2), then have duplicate dropdown columns that protect/unprotect based on DDDW counter. FAILS: Can't autoselect dddw value to populate column to cause protect on other two columns, ugly solution in any case. -- There is now a bounty on this question for anyone who can give me a solution that will enable me to edit a dropdown column for a single row on a grid-based datawindow in PB 10.5

Specifically, the problem is I don't know how to deal with having multiple time nodes under each name node (nested loops/collections). How can this be done? This is a sql 08 ent db if it matters to anyone.

• Trying to populate ListView in Android using objects from Parse

  I am pretty darned new to android, and VERY new to Parse. I have created a class, StudentInformation, that includes columns for name, address, phone, etc. I would like to create a listview that contains the names of all students added to the class. How do I do this? I have got it to the point that I can Toast out the objectIDs of all of my entries, but can't figure out how to extract and add just the names to the ListView. • WCF service with 2 Bindings and 2 Base Addresses

  I have written a WCF service (I am a newb) that I want to provide 2 endpoints for (net.tcp & basicHttp) The problem comes when I try to configure the endpoints. If I configure them as seperate services, then my service names are the same which causes a problem. • Translate Java class with static attributes and Annotation to Scala equivalent

  I'm currently trying to "translate" the following Java class to an equivalent Scala class. It's part of a JavaEE6-application and i need it to use the JPA2 MetaModel. import javax.persistence.metamodel.SingularAttribute; import javax.persistence.metamodel.StaticMetamodel; @StaticMetamodel(Person.class) public class Person_ { public static volatile SingularAttribute<Person, String> name; } A dissassembling of the compiled class file reveals the following information for the compiled file: > javap Person_.class : public class model.Person_ extends java.lang.Object{ public static volatile javax.persistence.metamodel.SingularAttribute name; public model.Person_(); } So now i need an equivalent Scala file that has the same structure, as JPA depends on it, cause it resolves the attributes by reflection to make them accessible at runtime. So the main problem i think is that the attribute is static, but the Annotation has to be on an (Java)Object (i guess) My first naive attempt to create a Scala equivalent is the following: @StaticMetamodel(classOf[Person]) class Person_ object Person_ { @volatile var name:SingularAttribute[Person, String] = _; } But the resulting classfile is far away from the Java one, so it doesn't work. • How do I make a SignalR client something when it receives a message?

  I want to do something when a client receives a message via a SignalR hub. I've put together a basic chat app, but want people to be able to "like" a chat comment. I'm thinking the way to do this is to find the chat message on the client's page and update it using javascript. In the meantime to "prove the concept" I just want to make an alert popup on the client machine to say another user likes the comment. Trouble is, I'm not sure where to put it. (Am struggling to find SignalR documentation to be honest.) can't get my head round what is calling what here. • web.config transforms not being applied on either publish or build installation package

  Today I started playing with the web.config transforms in VS 2010. To begin with, I attempted the same hello world example that features in a lot of the blog posts on this topic - updating a connection string. I created the minimal example shown below (and similar to the one found in this blog). The problem is that whenever I do a right-click - "Publish", or a right-click - "Build Deployment Package" on the .csproj file, I'm not getting the correct output. Rather than a transformed web.config, I'm getting no web.config, and instead the two transform files are included. What am I doing wrong? Any help gratefully received! • How to limit results in a SharePoint XSL query

  Hello all, I am creating a SharePoint site that we will use to report issues with trucks used in our business. Linked to the list I have created will be a page that will display an overview of the trucks and a little truck icon will show the trucks current status. Green and the truck is okay (no open issues), Red and the truck have an open issue with status "Undrivable", Orange and there is two issues open that requires the user to look further into the truck before using it and finally a Gray truck for when there is a new issue created that has not been looked into (not sure if it is drivable or not). I have managed to create the "Dashboard" and with my limit XSL/XPATH knowledge been able to add a truck and replicate the description above but... in my test I have created 4 issues, for example if three of them are changed to status Closed and one left to Undrivable I will get four icons on the page, three with Green trucks and the last one Red. So in theory it works but I obviously only want to see the last truck, one truck.   I'm having trouble with my HABTM relationship in CakePHP. I have two models like so: Department HABTM Location. One large company has many buildings, and each building provides a limited number of services. Each building also has its own webpage, so in addition to the HABTM relationship itself, each HABTM row also has a url field where the user can visit to find additional information about the service they're interested and how it operates at the building they're interested in. The problem: If I edit the name of a Location, all of the DepartmentsLocations that were linked to that Location are re-created with empty URLs. Since the models specify that unique is true, this also causes all of the newer rows to overwrite the older rows, which essentially destroys all of the URLs. I would like to know two things: Can I stop this? If so, how? And, on a less technical and more whiney note: Why does this even happen? It seems bizarre to me that editing a field through Cake should cause so much trouble, when I can easily go through phpMyAdmin, edit the Location name there, and get exactly the result I would expect. Why does CakePHP touch the HABTM data when I'm just editing a field on a row? It's not even a foreign key!

I've read through every search result I could find and gotten nowhere...   I have the following two files: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <!-- D E F A U L T H O S P I T A L P O L I C Y --> <xas DefaultPolicy="open" DefaultSubjectsFile="subjects.xss"> <rule id="R1" access="deny" object="record" subject="roles/*[name()!='Staff']"/> <rule id="R2" access="deny" object="diagnosis" subject="roles//Nurse"/> <rule id="R3" access="grant" object="record[@id=$user]" subject="roles/member[@id=$user]"/> </xas> and the other xml file called subjects.xss is: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <subjects> <users> <member id="dupont" password="4A-4E-E9-17-5D-CE-2C-DD-43-43-1D-F1-3F-5D-94-71"> <name>Pierre Dupont</name> </member> <member id="durand" password="3A-B6-1B-E8-C0-1F-CD-34-DF-C4-5E-BA-02-3C-04-61"> <name>Jacqueline Durand</name> </member> </users> <roles> <Staff> <Doctor> <member idref="dupont"/> </Doctor> <Nurse> <member idref="durand"/> </Nurse> </Staff> </roles> </subjects> I am writing an xsl sheet which will read the subject value for each rule in policy.xas and if the currently logged in user (accessible as variable "user" in the stylesheet) is contained in that subject value (say roles//Nurse), then do something. I am not being able to test whether the currently logged in user ($user which is equal to say "durand") is contained in roles//Nurse in the subjects file (which is a different xml file). Hope that clarifies my question. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

• Django Encoding Issues with MySQL

  Okay, so I have a MySQL database set up. Most of the tables are latin1 and Django handles them fine. But, some of them are UTF-8 and Django does not handle them. In both cases the database is returning 'Uni\xc3\xb3n Hidalgo' but Django is (incorrectly?) translating the '\xc3\xb3n' to ó. What can I do to fix this?
