  How do I add let's say something like ajax=1 to all links on my page with jquery. I will also need to check if the url has existing parameters. for example "http://mysite.com/index.php?pl=132" will have to become "http://mysite.com/index.php?pl=132&ajax=1" Also, if the link does not have any parameters, for example "http://mysite.com/index.php", it will become "http://mysite.com/index.php?ajax=1" I want to load the jquery script on document ready so all links are changed on page load.   I need to dynamically load a CSS stylesheet into a page that's on a different domain. How can I get the complete URL of the JS file to use in the href attribute of the stylesheet? For instance, here is the structure: http://bla.com/js/script.js http://bla.com/css/style.css I want to dynamically load the stylesheet into a page http://boo.net/index.html. The problem is, I don't know the bla.com bit in advance, just the fact that the stylesheet is in ../css/ relative to the JS file. The script is, of course, included on index.html. jQuery's fine too.

  Using the HTML5 <canvas> element, I would like to load an image file (PNG, JPEG, etc.), draw it to the canvas completely transparently, and then fade it in. I have figured out how to load the image and draw it to the canvas, but I don't know how to change its opacity once it as been drawn.   We want to have a form which contains lots of fields one over another. All of them are passed as parameters to the form. There are many condition formulas which determine whether one element is shown or not. Depending on how many fields are shown the result will get a different number of pages. The problem is, that the designer will only allow us to design on on single page with a fixed height. But we need more space to place fields there, because they are too many of them. Is there a way to enlarge the designer working area? Sure, a possible workaround is to choose a large paper format when in dessiger which will enlarge the working area and then reset it to A4 (Standard paper format), but even this will not be enough for us in some cases. Does nobody know an answer?

So the button don't works, only save the data, but don't link to the next page. How can I solve it ?

I have a smart client application being deployed with a CickOnce webpage. here's the current scenario. 1.User runs the application, and the application shows a login form. 2.User enters ID/Password in the login form, and the application sends that information to the server. 3.The server authenticates the user and sends configuration and data to the application. Different users have different configuration and data for their application. I was concerned that anyone can download the application from the webpage if they know the URL. So I'm trying to change the authentication scheme, so that users can login at the webpage to download the application. I want to send the authentication info from the webpage(Program running at the server) to the smart client app, so that application can download the configuration information from the server, without prompting users to make a login again. How can the webpage send the ID/Passoword to the application securely?

• Controlled hyperlink hijaxing

  I am working on a web application. I have a data grid with a 'commands' column that has hyperlinks for some common CRUD operations (Edit, Delete, etc). When a user clicks on say the Edit hyperlink, I retrieve the unique identifier for the data grid row and load a modal form dialog (i am using jQuery UI) so the user is able to edit the row data and subsequently close the modal form dialog at which point I refresh the page. Now, before the page is done refreshing, there's a chance that a user might click on the edit link again, and whenever that happens, 'hijaxing' fails. My question is how can i check that if a user clicks on a hyperlink and the page is refreshing, i delay until it is done refreshing, then i allow the 'hijax' to kick in.

  I have read a lot of approaches regarding placement of the footer in a webpage with CSS. Between others i found solutions, within SO too. The problem is (i think) that most of them, do not apply in asp pages. So the question is how can i place the footer with pure CSS in Asp pages? Before you post your answer, you have to take in mind the following.   I'm making a tournament manager in CakePHP 1.3 and I have a tournament controller which is fine but I want to implement a interface that can be used to define how a tournament runs. the controller needs to load a concrete class that implements the TournamentStyle interface that defines how the tournament works. At the end of a round the TournamentStyle is used to calculate the scores and winners and generate the next round of matches. That gives me a .php file for the interface and other files for the various styles. My question is: where would I put these files and how would I load them into my tournament controller?

  I am making one application where user will print invoices which I am displaying using Crystal Report. The user showed me his current application made using ForPro. In that application, under Printer Options form, one can see all the printers currently installed and the user could select default printer. When the invoice is made, the user presses the print button, then there is one dialog asking for no. of copies. When it's entered, the invoice gets printed directly, without any Print Dialog Box. If the user wants to change the printer again he/she will change it in the Printer Option form. I want to know if similar thing is possible in Crystal Report and need guidance on how to approach for it.

  I have localized localized a Form into two language by setting the Localizable property to True and setting the Language from (Default) to (Dutch(Netherlands)), and I changed the control texts. Visual Studio generated the resource files and compiles them into the application. I need to get a simple list of all the languages that my form has been localized into. Currently it would be just two English and Dutch, but more may come. I need to programatically get a list of "what languages my application is localized into". Do I look into the resource files or use ResourceManager or what? Thanks!

  I want to play a wav file synchronously on the gui thread, but my call to PlaySync is returning early (and prematurely stopping playback). The wav file is 2-3 minutes. I tried lengthening the load timeout, but that did nothing. I'm not quite sure what the best way to get the duration of a wav file is without using code written by somebody who isn't me/Microsoft. I suppose this can be calculated since I know the file size, and all of the encoding properties (bitrate, sample rate, sample size, etc) are consistent across all files I intend to play. Can somebody elaborate on how to calculate the duration of a wav file using this info? That is, if nobody has an idea about why PlaySync is returning early. Of Note: I encountered a similar problem in VB 6 a while ago, but that was caused by a timeout, which I don't suspect to be a problem here. Shorter (< 1min) files seem to play fine, so I might decide to manually edit the longer files down, then play them separately with multiple calls.

  I've seen various Grails plugins which allow easier handling of file uploads, however these tend only to support a single file per form-submit. I'd like a multi-attach form where as soon as you pick one file, an extra field and button is added using JS (various sites do it like this). Do you know of any good plugins which provide elegant uploading of multiple files without excessive coding? A progress bar either per-file of for the whole process would also be very nice. I don't know to what extent I can allow GORM to handle a java.io.File field (or in this case a Collection<File>).

  I need the ability to load and start a GWT App at any time in an Echo2 environment. My first approach was to load and execute the nocache.js in a Client-Server sync using var script = document.createElement("script"); script.setAttribute("src",javascriptURI); script.setAttribute("type","text/javascript"); document.getElementsByTagName('body')[0].appendChild(script); This call basically works, but when the script is executed it operates on an EMPTY document instead of the current document of the Echo2 application. Has the script to be somehow initialized first or is there any event required? The GWT application/script works fine if it's included in the start-up HTML of the application, so I assume the GWT App to be correct. The original standalone HTML of the GWT App has the HTML script tag in the body as well.
