    Im having issue with button on a top right hand side of naviogation bar on iOS: I have a button that can launch a app.html file from app itself and show on top of current view and That popup webview can be minimize with dDone button on it, Im having issues doing this, How can i call UIWebView on top of current view and allow it to launch app.html page from app directory. Currently i have: - (BOOL)webView:(UIWebView *)webViewer shouldStartLoadWithRequest:(NSURLRequest *)request navigationType:(UIWebViewNavigationType)navigationType{ } and this is a button that call that function UIBarButtonItem *showAppMenu = [[UIBarButtonItem alloc] initWithTitle:@"Help" style:UIBarButtonItemStylePlain target:self action:@selector(webView)];

  • Is there any small linux distribution which comes with a complete C development environment

    Hi, I have installed "Damn Small Linux" on my home computer for doing C development in unix. But the distribution doesn't by default come with the C development environment and I am facing some issues when trying to install the gcc. Is there any other small Linux distribution which by default has the required packages for the C development. And also I don't want additional software which takes up lot of space but still would like to have the graphical environment. Thanks

  • Best resources to learn JavaScript

    The question says it all really, I'm looking for book recommendations, video tutorials etc. I've been programming since I was about six so I don't need a book that spends 4 pages on for loops (thought that might be a Bad example in terms of javascript). Also I'm learning ASP.net at the moment so anything on interoperability features/issues would be welcome, though I'm guessing I just showed my ignorance with that question.

    I'm currently working on a WCF service that reaches out to another service to submit information in a few of its operations. The proxy for the second service is generated through the strongly typed ProxyFactory<T> class. I haven't experienced any issues but have heard I should do something like the following when making the call: using (new OperationContextScope((IContextChannel)_service)) _service.Send(message); So my question is: when is creating this new OperationContextScope appropriate, and why?     Is there any pitfalls when using char*'s to write cross platform code that does memory access? I'm working on a play memory allocator to better understand how to debug memmory issues. I have come to believe char*'s are preferable because of the ability to do pointer arithmetic and derefernce them over void*'s, is that true? Do the following assumptions always hold true on different common platforms? sizeof(char) == 1 sizeof(char*) == sizeof(void*) sizeof(char*) == sizeof(size_t)

I know the difference between live and delegate is that live can not be used in a chain. As I also read somewhere delegate is in some case faster (better performance).   • Do static / relative divs accept height in %

    I have a div which needs to be positioned statically / relatively. When it has both height and width defined in %, the browser (FF) ignores the height set and renders a very small div. However, when I set the height in px (approximately same calculated value), it works smoothly. The width defined in % works perfectly. I need the height to be defined in % as well - due to resolution / scaling issues.

  • C compiler producing lightweight executeables

    I'm currently using MSVC for C++ but as I'm switching to C to write a very performance-intensive program (interpreter) I have to search for a fitting C compiler. I've looked at some binaries produced by Turbo-C and even if its old they seem pretty straigthforward and optimized. Now I don't know what the best compiler for building an interpreter is, but maybe you can help me. I've considered GCC but as I don't know much about it, I can't be really sure.
