• Adaptive Case Management Modeling with CMMN by Jessica Ray

  A new version of Oracle BPM Suite 11.1.1.7 with Adaptive Case Management (ACM) is now available, so what will that mean for requirements gathering? BPM project requirements can be documented using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN 2.0). For ACM, there is a new notation in the works. It is called Case Management Model and Notation (CMMN). For now, this notation isn’t included as a modeling tool in the new version of Oracle BPM Suite 11.1.1.7 with ACM, but it is possible that a modeling tool could be included in a future release. What is CMMN? CMMN is a standard intended to capture the common elements that Case Management Products use, the same way that BPMN is a standard for BPM products (such as Oracle BPM). CMMN is created by the Object Management Group (OMG) and is still in the beta version. In April 2014, OMG released the second beta version the CMMN 1.0, and the most recent version is available here. CMMN captures some of the elements that are commonly used when talking about ACM such as Cases, Milestones, and Tasks. It also introduces some elements that you may not automatically hear when talking about ACM such as Stages, Events, and Decorators. • Domain name is forwarding to my localhost, no idea why

  On my local development machine, I have a WAMP setup (Windows Vista Home Premium, Apache 2, MySQL and PHP 5). One of my projects is rehash.dustinfineout.com, which may be related to the problem... For some reason, when I try to visit http://www.rehash.com in a browser, it forwards automatically to 127.0.0.1 loopback/localhost. I discovered this entirely accidentally. I have already looked at the http.conf and extra/httpd-vhosts.conf Apache configuration files and these are not causing it. I also checked the windows hosts file but that had no entries in it either (C:/WINDOWS/System32/drivers/etc/hosts - maybe there is another location I need to check). Any ideas? Just to clarify, rehash.com is NOT my domain.

• Drupal + Lighttpd: enabling clean urls (rewriting)

  I'm emulating Ubuntu on my mac, and I use it as a server. I've installed lighttpd + Drupal and the following configuration section requires a domain name in order to make clean urls to work. • Not able to delete file from server with permissions of 644 via PHP script

  I am trying to delete JPEG files that were uploaded to the server via FTP. The files are uploaded and written with permissions of 644. The owner and group of the upload directory are mike and mike. I have tried changing the owner and group to www-data, but that does not seem to work. I am trying to delete the files with a PHP script using unlink(). This works on the production server (which is a hosting service), but not my development server, which is a LAMP setup. This leads me to believe it has something to do with permissions on my development server.

• CD/DVD cataloging software?

  I'm looking for freeware, or preferably open source CD/DVD cataloging applications. Right now I'm testing http://www.gentibus.com/us/Download.htm, anyone got any other suggestions? I'd like the software to be actively maintained and not released and left behind. I'm looking for software which allows me to catalog, sort, search my DVDs/CDs into databases. Like I've 1 group of 10 dvds only with Fonts etc. I want to read the content into a Database called "Fonts'". Another group of 5 DVD's with Stockimages, and I want to read all 5 DVDs into the Database "Stock Images". Then I want this software to be able to open Database "Stock Images", I want to be able to browse DVD 1 - 5 and to see DVD 1 - 5's contents without having the DVD's in the optical drive.

• XSF-FO intellisense and national languages with Apache FOP

  Some time ago I showed how to get an intellisense and how to configure the FO.NET to acquire national characters inside the generated pdf files. Due to the limitations that I mensioned in my previous post, I started playing with the Apache FOP. In this post I want to show, how to acquire the same result as I showed in the two posts related to FO.NET.   Intellisense   To get the intellisense from the XSL-FO templates set the xsi:schemaLocation the same way I showed it in this post. The only diffrence to FO.NET is that, during generating the document by the code I showed last time we will get an exception:   org.apache.fop.fo.ValidationException: Invalid property encountered on "fo:root": xsi:schemaLocation (See position 6:11)   Fortunatelly there is a very easy way to resolve this without removing the entire attribute along with the intellisense. Add to the FopFactory the ignoreNamespace by:   FopFactory fopFactory = FopFactory.newInstance(); fopFactory.ignoreNamespace(http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance);   Notice that, the url specified in this method this is a namespace for the xmlns:xsi namespace, not xsi.schemaLocation.   Fonts / national characters   This point is a little dfferent to acquire, but not more complicated that it was with FO.NET. To set the fonts in Apache FOP 1.0, we need a configuration file. A sample one can be get from the directory where we unpacked the fop binaries, from conf subdirectory. There is a file called fop.xconf. We must copy this file to our solution. In the simplest way, in the <fonts> tag we can add  <auto-detect/>. Thanks to this, FOP will index all fonts available on the installed operating system. There probably should be no problem, if we have a http handler or a WCF Service on the server that serves the generated pdf documents. In this situation we can use all available fonts on this server.   To use this config file, we must set a path to it:   FopFactory fopFactory = FopFactory.newInstance(); fopFactory.setUserConfig(new File("fop.xconf"));

• FTP Sites vs Sites in IIS 7.0

  We have one FTP site set up (and working) basically like the instructions here: http://www.iis.net/learn/publish/using-the-ftp-service/creating-a-new-ftp-site-in-iis-7 It shows up under "Sites" and then the name of our FTP Site. However, above "Sites" (in the left navigation tree view), we see a node called "FTP Sites". When we click on it, it says "FTP Management is provided by IIS 6.0". Can someone give me the big picture of why this node appears, and why IIS 6 is involved? Is is some backward compatible feature? I didn't build these machines, so don't know the reasoning of what was done before I arrived on the scene. Also, is the tree view icon for websites and FTP sites the same?

• Host wildcard subdomains using postfix.

  I'm trying to work out how I can get postfix to accept email for any sub-domain of my main site. I don't have virtual domains, just a long list of sub-domains for local delivery. In specific, I'm feeding python@*.mydomain.com into a Python using the alias file: python: |/www/proc_email.py The Python can handle delivery from there. I envision this looking something along the lines of: mydestination = encendio, localhost.localdomain, localhost, *.mydomain.com I'm running the latest version of postfix on Ubuntu (not rightly sure how to check the version). • Weird problem, special characters after formatting the hard drive, computer not starting 0_o

  Hya friends , Last night my computer was working fine. But today when i came back from college and started it , it was starting fine but after sometime it's getting restarted , again and again getting restarted at different points , so i tried to boot it in safe mode but same problem. Now after all this , i finally decided to format the drive C (it is in 80 GB) and load new OS windows XP3. After formatting and loading xp3 sufficient files , when it was getting rebooted for copying the actual os files , it hung and a weird screen came. If the stones are white it captures them by making them 0, which represents empty.

• PostgreSQL under Mac OSX Lion. Wrong userpass?

  I'm completely helpless, maybe you guys can help me out. I installed PostgreSQL under my new MacOSX Lion. When I try to connect to my localhost with pgAdminIII.app it says: Error connecting to the database: FATAL password authentication failed for user postgres I just have no idea what to do? Non of my passwords work. Neither my adminpass nor "postgres" nor anyhting else. I tried to install it again via the console where I found this helpful link: http://www.peerassembly.com/2011/08/...resql-on-lion/ However the problem is, that when I try to run createuser -a -d _postgres the same password problem appears again. I just can't seem to find a solution to this. Always wrong password. Btw. I have a new User called "PostgreSQL" on my machine after I installed postgres. Any ideas? I'm so stuck and I really need to make this work.

• Webserver on a rotating server with NAT IP or changing IPs

  i would have to elaborate my questions so please have patience Explaining the logic. if you are familiar with logmein then it installs a client software on your computer then it kinda keeps tracks where you computer is as long as it's connected to internet. So you can always access your computer no matter where it is whatever it's IP is you just go to logmein.com and then you can just access it. Now what i am asking 1. Let's assume i have a website hosted on my laptop let's call it webserver. so then i move around i have a new IP sometime even on a hotel network is it possible to do something like what logmein does so i can keep moving around my Webserver to new IP but it has some local client or something which keeps updating my IP or something i am sure i would need a gateway server somewhere which is connected to my domain name via DNS so somebody accessing my website www.mywebsite.com goes to my main server then gets routed to my laptop which could be anywhere but my gateway server is able to communicate to my webserver I will keep updating the case description based on comments to make more sense. please have patience with me.   Hello - I am trying to write a simple rewrite rule using the rewriteengine in apache. I want to redirect all traffic destined to a website unless the traffic originates from a specific IP address and the URI contains two specific strings. RewriteEngine On RewriteLog /var/log/apache2/rewrite_kudithipudi.log RewriteLogLevel 1 RewriteCond %{REMOTE_ADDR} ^199\.27\.130\.105 RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !/StringOne [NC, OR] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !/StringTwo [NC] RewriteRule ^/(.*) http://www.google.com [R=302,L] I put these statements in my virtual host configuration. But the rewriteengine seems to be redirect all requests, whether they match the condition or not. Am I missing something? Thank you. Vinay.

• Using PowerShell, in Active Direcotry, how would I change all the DNS A records that have a given IP to a new IP?

  We've been moving data centers and I have a lot of old records that were not correctly but in DNS as CNAME records, but A records that have a direct IP (e.g. 192.168.100.n) and they're all moving to a new subnet (10.19.100.n). I just need to write a powershell script to change all those records. I found this site: http://www.indented.co.uk/index.php/2008/12/30/administering-microsoft-dns-in-powershell/ and from it I made this simple script: $dnsServer = "meldc2" $scope = New-Object Management.ManagementScope("\\$dnsServer\root\MicrosoftDNS") $path = New-Object Management.ManagementPath("MicrosoftDNS_Zone") $options = New-Object Management.ObjectGetOptions($Null,[System.TimeSpan]::MaxValue, $True) $ZoneClass= New-Object Management.ManagementClass($scope,$path,$options) $Zones = Get-WMIObject -Computer $dnsServer -Namespace "root\MicrosoftDNS" -Class "MicrosoftDNS_Zone" $Zones | Get-Member foreach($Z in $Zones) { $Z | Select-Object Name,DsIntegrated,ZoneType,Reverse,Data } but that only gets me a listing of root zones. I don't understand how to iterate over all the entries in each of the zones. Also, all the examples I've seen involve adding new zones, but there aren't any examples I can find on modifying existing A records.

• Multiple SSL domains on the same IP address and same port?

  I set up an ubuntu 9.10 - apache2 - php5 server. I was under the impression that each valid SSL certificate (no domain wild cards) required it's own unique IP address and port number combination. But the answer to a previous question I posted is at odds with this claim: http://serverfault.com/questions/109766/ssl-site-not-using-the-correct-ip-in-apache-and-ubuntu Using the accepted answer, I was able to get multiple domains, each with it's own valid SSL to work on the same IP address and on port 443. I am very confused as to why the above answer works, especially after hearing from others that each SSL domain website on the same server requires its own IP+port combination. I am suspicious that I did something wrong. Can someone clear up the confusion? Websites currently using different SSL but on the same IP and Port are: https://www.yummyskin.com/ https://staging.bossystem.org/

• Can't find generic USB audio driver for a Samson COU1 USB microphone

  I am unable to use a Samson USB CO1U microphone on a PC running XP, SP3. When I plug it into the USB port, Windows generates the sound indicating that it has found new hardware, and the green LED on the mic lights. But, it does not work, and the device manager reports that it cannot find a driver after searching. The same mic works on a Vista machine. Samson has no driver on their Web site, and insists that the generic audio driver in Windows should work. (http://www.samsontech.com/PRODUCTS/productpage.cfm?prodID=1810). I cannot find a generic USB audio driver at Microsoft.com. Can anyone help? Larry

• Connection to website interrupted/reset. Why?

  When navigating to some websites (like victorsosea.com, citibank.co.in etc.) on Google Chrome, I get a message that the 'connection to www.site.com was interrupted'. If I try on Firefox, it says 'The connection to the server was reset'. This happens no matter what internet connection I use on my laptop. Be it my home internet or office internet. I have tried using Google DNS address as well but that does not seem to solve the problem. I have been facing this problem randomly for some websites. Kindly let me know how I can resolve the issue. My laptop configuration: Windows 7, 64-bit

  I am wondering how to handle URLs which correspond to strings containing diacritic (á, u, ´...). I believe what we're seeing mostly are URLs where diacritic characters where converted to their closest ASCII equivalent, for instance Rånades på Skyttis i Ö-vik converted to ranades-pa-skyttis-i-o-vik. However depending on the corresponding language, such conversion might be incorrect. For instance in German, ü should be converted to ue and not just u, as seen with the below URL representing the Bayern München string as bayern-muenchen: http://www.bundesliga.de/en/liga/clubs/fc-bayern-muenchen/index.php However what I've also noticed, is that browsers can render non-ASCII characters when they are percent-encoded in the URL, which is the approach Wikipedia has chosen, for instance http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/FC_Bayern_M%C3%BCnchen which is rendered as: Therefore I'm considering the following approach for creating URL slugs: -(1) convert strings while replacing non-ASCII characters to their recommended ASCII representation: Bayern München - bayern-muenchen -(2) also convert strings to percent encoding: Bayern München - bayern_m%C3%BCnchen -create a 301 redirect from version (1) to version (2) Version (1) URLs could be used for marketing purposes (e.g. mywebsite.com/bayern-muenchen) but the URLs that would end being displayed in the browser bar would be version (2) URLs (e.g. mywebsite.com/bayern-münchen). Can you foresee particular problems with this approach? (Wikipedia is not doing it and I wonder why, apart from the fact that they don't need to market their URLs)

  I have been following this Tutorial to get dual monitors working on my box http://www.dwasifar.com/?p=862&cpage=1#comment-5727 It works! However, when ever I move a window, the redraw of that window takes 3-8 seconds. Even moving the window takes the same amount of time Is this being done in software rather than the nVidea hardware? The windows themselves do not respond. I have seen a few old threads but no relevant fixes - If anyone could suggest a fix I would very much appreciate it. Thanks in advance
