    Anyone know of a more permissive license (MIT / public domain) version of this: http://library.gnome.org/devel/glibmm/unstable/classGlib_1_1ustring.html ('drop-in' replacement for std::string thats UTF-8 aware) Lightweight, does everything I need and even more (doubt I'll use the UTF-XX conversions even) I really don't want to be carrying ICU around with me.

    So, I want to be able to modify already instanced C++ objects in a scripting language. I have been looking at Lua with LuaBind and Python with SWIG or Boost::Python, but all I see is how to make new instances of the objects, but I want to modify already existing ones. Example: C++: Player playerOne = new Player(); Scripting Language : playerOne.Transform.x += 5; Is this possible, and if so, wat would you suggest as a good Language/library to achieve this with?

    I want to create a PHP app that can send text messages. There are different gateways for different email carriers. Is there any library I could use that would be able to lookup or detect which gateway to use just by passing the phone number into it?     hi, i'm using the mshtml library for parsing out html via MSHTML.HTMLDocument. my question: is there a way to assign a javascript function to a dom element? i've tried something like: div.onmouseover = "function(){alert('mouseover')}" and div.setattribute "onmouseover" , "function(){alert('mouseover')}" without success (no error but no effect either). anyone knows if its possible? thx

    Is there a library or good tutorial which covers creating in-app settings, like this: http://img.skitch.com/20090625-s8bf6ahybwe3cesd1id38h3nt.jpg What I would like is if it: doesn't use the built-in Settings app is controlled by a plist file with various Dictionaries and Arrays creates a nice looking table view allows text fields as well as switches and sliders and ticks etc doesn't have any of the annoying problems I've come across when trying to build my own version (not scrolling to show the textfield, cells disappearing) It would appear that the iphone dev world is crying out for such a thing.   • How to Block images (img tags) from an iFrame?

    Hello, Im searching for ideas to solve the following problem: I'm loading an URL (any for that matter) into an iFrame, and then block (server side) all image tags, o object tags before sending the page to the client. -- What I was thinking to do is: fetching the URL, and then manipulating the fetched content using a Java library (any recomendation on that matter?). And after that, send the modify content to que client. Would that be the best approach to solve this problem? suggestions are wellcome :)

  • Is there a sorted_vector class, which supports insert() etc.?

    Often, it is more efficient to use a sorted std::vector instead of a std::set. Does anyone know a library class sorted_vector, which basically has a similar interface to std::set, but inserts elements into the sorted vector (so that there are no duplicates), uses binary search to find elements, etc.? I know it's not hard to write, but probably better not to waste time and use an existing implementation anyway.
