• eclipse CDT - Cannot open .gcda files

  I am developing a coverage data tool in eclipse cdt. I used gcov and build and execute my C program to generate .gcda and .gcno files. When double click on .gcda file to see the coverage data, below error message displays. An error has occurred. See error log for more details. org.eclipse.linuxtools.binutils.utils.STSymbolManager.demangle(Lorg/eclipse/cdt/core/IBinaryParser$IBinaryObject;Ljava/lang/String;Lorg/eclipse/core/resources/IProject;)Ljava/lang/String; But I already downloaded and save org.eclipse.linuxtools.binutils_4.0.0.201209191645.jar into plugins directory. Where am I doing wrong?

• SVN Mac oSX issue - permissions?

  Hello there, /Volumes/sites is a connection to a samba share that hosts some of our sites. We authorise using a username & password that is the same user/pass to log onto the mac. When committing, (or even doing a cleanup) from the Mac Client side using the svn command line tool or SCPlugin, this error occurs: Commit succeeded, but other errors follow: Error bumping revisions post-commit (details follow): In directory '/Volumes/sites/foobar/public_html' Error processing command 'committed' in '/Volumes/sites/foobar/public_html' Error replacing text-base of 'index.php' Can't move '/Volumes/sites/foobar/public_html/.svn/tmp/text-base/index.php.svn-base' to '/Volumes/sites/foobar/public_html/.svn/text-base/index.php.svn-base': Operation not permitted Any ideas? I think it's to do with permissions on the mac side not being able to move files around on the samba share. Apologies if my question is kinda vague so any extra information I can give please shout. • Output to jTextArea in realtime

  I have some code which takes a few minutes to process, it has to connect to the web for each string in a long array, each string is a url.   I run Eclipse 1.6.0, and Glassfish V3 back end. The program run fine, the console give no error. However the error log always show this weird error. • Strategies for Error Handling in .NET Web Services

  I have a fairly substantial library of web services built in .NET that I use as a data model for our company web sites. In most .NET applications I use the Global ASAX file for profiling, logging, and creating bug reports for all exceptions thrown by the application. Global ASAX isn't available for web services so I'm curious as to what other strategies people have come up with to work around this limitation. • Why is scp not overwriting my destination file?

  I'm trying to back up a file via the command scp /tmp/backup.tar.gz hostname:/home/user/backup.tar.gz When I run it, the scp progress bar shows up and it looks like its transferring the file, however when I log into the destination server to check the file, the timestamp and filesize haven't changed from the older version, so it looks like scp didn't overwrite the old file at all. It only sees to work when I manually delete the file from the destination server. I'm running ubuntu, and this is happening on two servers: one cygwin ssh, and one fedora core 3. Anyone have any idea why this is happening? I thought scp would ONLY overwrite existing files.. Thanks

  I have a web application that I want to sync with Flickr. I don't want the users to have to log into Flickr so I plan to use a single login. I believe I'll need to do something like this: import flickrapi flickr = flickrapi.FlickrAPI(myKey, mySecret) (token, frob) = flickr.get_token_part_one(perms='write', my_auth_callback) flickr.get_token_part_two((token, frob,)) flickr.what_have_you(... I don't know what my_auth_callback should look like though. I suspect it will have to post my login information to flickr. Could I do the get_token_part_one step just once manually perhaps and then re-use it in get_token_part_two?

• Silverlight 5 App Crashing

  I have a silverlight 5 app that makes some WCF requests. When the silverlight app is hosted locally on an IIS 7.5 server it works fine, but when I run it from a remote IIS6 box there are issues. The app loads fine and presents the login UI. After trying to log in, a couple WCF service calls are made (successfully), but the response causes silverlight to stop responding and the browser eventually asks to kill the non-responsive silverlight app. I am mostly confused because it works fine in IIS 7.5 Note that I am accessing the same WCF services hosted on a remote box in both instances, and both times I am getting successful responses. It is only in IIS6 that the app becomes non-responsive.

• Not Seeing Ajax Requests In Firebug If Header Has Been Modified

  Hey braintrust, I'm making an ajax call using jQuery's library to an api, which requires a username and password encoded to base64 be added to the header. here's a basic example: $.ajax({ type: "GET", contentType: 'application/json', beforeSend:function(xhr){ xhr.setRequestHeader("Authentication", "Basic " + base64EncodedValue); } url: 'https://api.company.com/uri/', complete: function(result) { alert(result); } }); But when this fires off, I get a black alert box, so it doesn't appear as if something is coming back. There is no log in the Firebug console that a get ajax request was done. However, if I remove the beforeSend option, I do see the ajax request get logged, but the request gets back a 'not authorized', so it definitely hit the right place. Any ideas on why it's not showing up in Firebug so I can verify the headers are being sent out correctly?

• MySQLdb not INSERTING, _mysql does fine.

  Okay, I log onto the MySQL command-line client as root. I then open or otherwise run a python app using the MySQLdb module as root. When I check the results using python (IDLE), everything looks fine. When I use the MySQL command-line client, no INSERT has occurred. If I change things around to _mysql instead of MySQLdb, everything works fine. I'd appreciate any clarification(s). • Self-extracting Delphi program

  I'm writing an updater program in Delphi7 which will be run once, but needs many files to run. What I'd like the achieve: 1, User runs exe 2, Exe unpacks files, runs updater 3, If updater detects and error, prompts the user to send log in e-mail 4, After the updater is run, temporary files are deleted (some of these files are dlls used by the updater program, so the updater has to be closed before the files can be deleted) Can anyone recommend a good solution? I've thought about using Inno Setup (too complicated for such an easy task) or using a self-extracting zip file (but how to delete the files afterwards)? Thanks!

• is JsonP working with Opera, Chrome & Safari ?

  Hi, On a web site that I am building , when you log in (because the database is on an other server), I use json padding to check if the user as the right credentials.   What is the easiest way to create a delay (or parking) queue with Python, Pika and RabbitMQ? I have seen an similar questions, but none for Python. I find this an useful idea when designing applications, as it allows us to throttle messages that needs to be re-queued again. There are always the possibility that you will receive more messages than you can handle, maybe the HTTP server is slow, or the database is under too much stress. I also found it very useful when something went wrong in scenarios where there is a zero tolerance to losing messages, and while re-queuing messages that could not be handled may solve that. It can also cause problems where the message will be queued over and over again. Potentially causing performance issues, and log spam.

• What are people's opinions vis-a-vis my choice of authorization plugins?

  I'm slowly but surely putting together my first rails app (first web-app of any kind in fact - I'm not really a programmer) and it's time to set up a user registration/login system. The nature of my app is such that each user will be completely separated from each other user (except for admin roles). When users log in they will have their own unique index page looking at only their data which they and no-one else can ever see or edit. However, I may later want to add a role for a user to be able to view and edit several other user's data (e.g. a group of users may want to allow their secretary to access and edit their data but their secretary would not need any data of their own). My plan is to use authlogic to create the login system and declarative authorization to control permissions but before I embark on this fairly major and crucial task I thought I would canvas a few opinions as to whether this combo was appropriate for the tasks I envisage or whether there would be a better/simpler/faster/cheaper/awesomer option.

• How to grab data from webpage in Chrome and output into Chrome extension popup?

  For a Google Chrome extension, none of the Javascript I write to manipulate the DOM of the extension popup.html seems to have any effect on the popup's DOM. • What do the square brackets in LaTeX logs mean?

  I'm currently working on a parser that reads complete LaTeX logs. Most of the log format is, though weird, easy to figure out, but these square brackets are puzzling me. Here's an example from near the end of one of my logs: Overfull \hbox (10.88788pt too wide) in paragraph at lines 40--40 []$[]$ [] [102]) [103] Kapitel 14. (./Thermo-141-GrenzenFundamentalpostulat.tex [104 ]) (./Thermo-142-Mastergleichung.tex [105]) (./Thermo-143-HTheorem.tex [106pdfTeX warning (ext4): destination with the same identifier (name{equation.14.3.3}) ha s been already used, duplicate ignored Can anybody give me a hint what these square brackets mean? I can't see any structure in them. I have the suspicion that lines 2/3 above are some kind of ASCII art representing the box layout, though I know too less about badboxes to justify this or identify the meaning of the single characters. Then, the "[104" etc. seem to correspond to the page numbers, but I am still not seeing the reason why there is sometimes something inbetween the square brackets (like the pdfTeX warning above), and sometimes not.

  I have seen many questions already and all are about background page to content script. Summary My extension has an options page, and a content script. The content script handles the storage functionality (chrome.storage manipulation). Whenever, a user changes a setting in the options page, I want to send a message to the content script to store the new data.
