• In apache cxf, How do i know the soap request message is gzip compressed?

  I'm using Apache CXF to send soap message. in specific case, i have to send a soap message gzip compressed. Using log4j, i printed detailed info. would you let me know how i can know the message is gzip compressed and transfered to server. thanks in advance. • Windows Forms Host + System.Windows.Forms.DataVisualization.Chart

  Good day all I have the following question: I would like to use Chart from Windows Forms due to the fact that it allows to build much more types of graphical visualisation that one from WPF Toolkit does. So, I am adding Chart control for Windows Forms as a child element into the WindowsFormsHost. But, when I run the application I and all my clients see only white area. Though, any other Windows Forms Control works great in Windows Forms Host. What is wrong with the Chart control? • how to convert bitmap image to CIELab image?

  Hello to stackoverflow members! This is my first post but I love reading the questions and answers on this forum! I'm using VS2008, CSharp, NET 3.5 and Windows XP Pro latest patches on this project. I am reading in a jpeg file to a bitmap image using CSharp in the following way: Bitmap bmp = new Bitmap("background.jpg"); Graphics g = Graphics.FromImage(bmp); I then write some text and logos on g using various DrawString and DrawImage commands. I then want to write this bitmap to a tiff file using the command: bmp.Save("final_artwork.tif", ImageFormat.Tiff); I don't know what the TIFF tags in the header of the final resultant TIFF file will be when you do bmp.Save as shown above? But what I want to produce is a TIFF image file with PHOTOMETRIC CIELab, BITSPERSAMPLE 8, SAMPLESPERPIXEL 3, FILLORDER MSB2LSB, ORIENTATION TOPLEFT, PLANARCONFIG CONTIG, and also uncompressed and singlestrip. Im fairly certain, at least I have not found anything about Microsoft API and CIELab, I can not convert the bitmap image to CIELab photometric and the other requirements using anything from the Microsoft API or .NET 3.5 environment - someone please correct if I am wrong. I have used libtiff in a project in the past but just to write a tiff file where the tiff image in memory was already in CIELab format and all the other requirements as noted per above. Im not certain libtiff can convert from my CSharp bitmap image, which is probably RGB photometric, to CIELab, 8 bps, and 3 spp? Maybe I can use OpenCVImage or Emgu CV or something similiar? So the main question is what is going to be the easiest way to get my final bitmap image as outlined above into a CIELab TIFF and also meeting the other requirements per above? • Unable to debug XBAP with Visual Studio 2010

  Just migrated my project to Visual Studio 2010, but target framework was left 3.5. Project contains an XBAP app in partial trust and a bunch of WCF services. Debugging is configured to start PresentationHost.exe with -debug and -debugSecurityZoneUrl parameters. Under VS2008 everything works fine, and in VS2010 Beta2 (don't sure about RC), but under VS2010 RTM debugging is for some reason doesn't working. Application runs, but doesn't hit any breakpoint. And if for example exception occurs, message box appears "Do you wish to debug or close..." and after I choose "debug" option new weird message box appears: --------------------------- Warning --------------------------- A debugger is attached to PresentationHost.exe but not configured to debug this unhandled exception. To debug this exception, detach the current debugger. An unhandled exception was raised from Microsoft .NET Framework v 1.0, 1.1, or 2.0, but the current debugger is configured to debug Microsoft .NET Framework v4.0 code. Examine the exception using the SOS tool. --------------------------- OK --------------------------- And where is the vaunted multitargeting? Did anyone have already bumped into same issue? UPDATE: Tried to debug with "Start browser with URL" option. Debugging is working, but I get SecurityException. So it is possible, just need to figure out how to make it work with "Start external program" option. UPDATE2: Checked what PresentationHost is actually loads in both scenarios: "Start external program" - Latest version (4.0.31106.0) from C:\Windows\System32\ "Start browser with URL" - Old version (3.0.6920.4902) from C:\Windows\winsxs\x86_wpf-presentationhostexe_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_none_6fca8974817173aa

  I'm trying to create an ICS file and send it to myself. I set myself as the organizer of the event. The appointment request is properly received to my mail box but the event is not automatically added to my calendar. I'm using Outlook 2007.   I want to bind a content of Label to the selected item of a datagrid. I thought the 'current item' binding expression would work, but it is not.   hi, I have this weird problem that I cannot handle myself. A class in the model of my mvp-project designed as singleton causes an InvalidCastException. The source of error is found in this code line where the deserialised object is assigned to the instance variable of the class: engineObject = (ENGINE)xSerializer.Deserialize(str); It occurs whenever I try to add one of my UserControls to a Form or to a different UC. All of my UCs have a special presenter that access the above mentioned instance variable of the singleton class. This is what I get when trying to add a UC somewhere: 'System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for 'MVP.Model.EngineData' threw an exception. ---- System.InvalidCastException: [A]Engine cannot be cast to [B]Engine.   C# WinForms .Net 3.5 to SQL CE 3.5 on Mobile 6.1 Device I'd like to make a connection from a desktop application to a SDF database on my Windows Mobile device while it's connected via ActiveSync. Visual Studio lets me create a Data Connection to my device. The connections tests OK and I can view the data in the database using Visual Studio. I then create a form and try to fill a DataGridView. When I run the program I get an error that the path to the data base is not valid. How am I supposed to specify the Mobile device path in the connection string? • why does absolute paths of images gets converted to cid?

  I've got mailings that need to be sended using cron. When I load the script manualy all works fine. With cron i get broken images. to change the src of my img i used: $body = eregi_replace("managersrc_logo","images/managers/acertainlogo.jpg",$body); Because i thaught that it is importent to use absolute paths i also tried: $body = eregi_replace("managersrc_logo","http://www.site.com/images/managers/acertainlogo.jpg",$body); In that case i even do not see the images when i run the cronscript manualy. Nor the automated cron will display me the images. When i check the source of the mail that is received i always see "cid:encryptedstuff" even if i use absolute paths? Why is that? I just want my absolute paths being printed in the src attribute of the img tag. Who changes my absolute path to cid: ? is it php, phpmailer or outlook itself? Any help someone?.... David

• Schema objects not visible in SQL Server Management Studio 2008

  I'm experiencing a weird problem with a SQL login. When I connect to the server in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (2008) using this account, I cannot see any of the tables, stored procedures etc. that this account should have access to on a particular database. When I connect to the same server within Visual Studio (2008) with the same account everything is there. When I connect with the same account on a Virtual Machine everything is there. I've also had a co-worker connect to the server using the same login and he's able to view everything as well. I use Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio all day connecting to different servers and databases and I've never experienced this problem. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can diagnose this problem? I've checked to make sure I don't have any Table filters etc. There's several database on this server and I'm able to see the correct tables that this account has access to in the other databases just fine. Running this query lists the tables I'm expecting to see. SELECT * FROM INFORMATION_SCHEMA.TABLES

• Access denied when trying to read information about SharePoint groups

  I am trying to get the membership of a group in WSS 3.0. I am doing this in an elevated permissions block. Here is the code: SPSecurity.RunWithElevatedPrivileges(delegate() { using (SPSite site = new SPSite(SPContext.Current.Site.ID)) { using (SPWeb rootWeb = site.RootWeb) { SPGroup gAdmins = rootWeb.SiteGroups["Admins"]; } } }); I get taken to the "access denied" SharePoint screen when I run this code. The group exists. The identity of the application pool for the web application is in the dbo role in the content database. The code works on my development server, but not on another server, which leads me to believe there is something wrong with the permissions or configuration on this server, maybe something in dcomcnfg? Here are some lines from the SharePoint log that seem to be related: PermissionMask check failed. asking for 0x08000000, have 0x00000000 Unknown SPRequest error occurred. • Getting the current EnvDTE or IServiceProvider when NOT coding an Addin

  I am coding up some design time code. I want to use this snippet: (Found here) var dte = (EnvDTE.DTE) GetService(typeof(EnvDTE.DTE)); if (dte != null) { var solution = dte.Solution; if (solution != null) { string baseDir = Path.GetDirectoryName(solution.FullName); } } Problem is that this does not compile. (GetService is not a known method call) I tried adding Microsoft.VisualStudio.Shell (and Microsoft.VisualStudio.Shell.10.0) but it did not help. In looking around on the internet I found that you need a IServiceProvider to call this. But all the examples that show how to get an IServiceProvider use a EnvDTE. So, to get the current EnvDTE I need IServiceProvider. But to get an IServiceProvider I need an EnvDTE. (There is a hole in my bucket...) So, here is my question: In a normal WPF Application, how can I get the current instance of EnvDTE? NOTE: I am not looking for any old instance of EnvDTE. I need the one for my current Visual Studio instance (I run 3-4 instances of Visual Studio at a time.)

• Comet and Simultaneous Ajax request

  Hi , I am trying to use a COMET solution using ASP.NET . Trouble is i want to implement sending and notification part in the same page. On IE7, whenever i try to send a request ,it just gets queued up. After reading on internet and stackoverflow pages i found that i can only do 2 simultaneous asyn ajax requests per page. So until i close my comet Ajax request,my 2nd request doesnt get completed ,doesnt even go out from the browser. And when i checked with Firefox i just one Ajax comet request running all time..so doesnt that leave me one more ajax request? Also the solution uses IRequiressessionstate for Asynchronous HTTP Handler which i had removed.but still it creates problems on multiple instances of IE7. I had one work around which is stated here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/282402 it means we can increase the request limit from registry by default is 2. By changing "MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server" key in hive "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings" we can increase the number of requests. Basically i want to broadcast information to multiple clients connected to a server using Comet and the clients can also send messages to the Server. Broadcasting works but the send request back to server doesnt work. Im using IIS 6 and ASP.NET . Are there any more workarounds or ways to send more requests?   I have an application which uses WinHTTP, and it seems under Windows 7 (64-bit; have yet to test the 32-bit version) the call to WinHttpOpen fails, returning "The group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation." This corresponds to error code 5023, and occurs for the Administrator as well as a standard user. The C++ DLL containing this call was compiled using Visual Studio 2008 (32-bit) on a Windows XP Professional system. Other than Outlook 2007, this is an otherwise clean install in a VM. Thanks!

  Here's the deal: I'm moving a .NET website to Python. I have a database with passwords hashed using the System.Security.Cryptography.SHA1Managed utility. I'm creating the hash in .NET with the following code: string hashedPassword = Cryptographer.CreateHash("MYHasher", userInfo.Password); The MYHasher block looks like this: <add algorithmType="System.Security.Cryptography.SHA1Managed, mscorlib, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=blahblahblah" saltEnabled="true" type="Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Security.Cryptography.HashAlgorithmProvider, Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Security.Cryptography, Version=3.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=daahblahdahdah" name="MYHasher" /> So for a given password, I get back and store in the database a 48 byte salted sha1. I assume the last 8 bytes are the salt. I have tried to reproduce the hashing process in python by doing a sha1(salt + password) and sha1(password + salt) but I'm having no luck. My question to you: How are the public keys being used? How is the password rehashed using the salt. How is the salt created? (e.g., When I say saltEnabled="true", what extra magic happens?) I need specific details that don't just reference other .NET libraries, I'm looking for the actual operational logic that happens in the blackbox. Thanks!

• Dynamically resizing CMFCPropertySheet with PropSheetLook_OneNoteTabs style

  Hi everybody, I'm trying to resize dynamically a CMFCPropertySheet to add a custom control at the bottom of each page. As all Property Pages are not of the same height, I have a mechanism to increase the size if necessary. For this, I have overridden the OnActivatePage method and by using SetWindowPos, I can resize the sheet, first, then the tab control, then the page and finally I can move the OK/Cancel/Help buttons. It works fine with PropSheetLook_OutlookBar and PropSheetLook_Tabs styles but not with PropSheetLook_OneNoteTabs style. The page (or the tab) is not correctly resized (the lighter grey color of the page does not fill the sheet. OneNote style Outlook style Any idea? A MFC Feature Pack bug?
