    I'm using django orm and templates to create a background service that is ran as management command. Do you know if django is thread safe? I'd like to use threads to speed up processing. The processing is blocked by I/O not CPU so I don't care about performance hit caused by GIL.

I have read things saying that WSDL is generic, used for any service, while SPML is only for provisioning services.   • Running Java CORBA Client on Unix

    I'm trying to run a Java application I wrote to subscribe to a CORBA event service. It runs OK on my Windows machine, but as soon as I deploy it to the UNIX server, it gives me an org.omg.CORBA.NO_IMPLEMENT exception. Any ideas as to why this might be happening? I'm using JacORB on my Windows machine and passing VM arguments to initialize the client ORB, but I'm not sure how to do that on UNIX and if it's even necessary. Thanks in advance!

    I know SysCache uses ASP caching under the hood, but since I'm not aware of the implementation of the ASP cache (and if it depends on anything IIS), I was wondering if SysCache would work in a non-web application (like a Windows Service)? Activating it and using NHprofiler seems to show it is not.

I use a ServletContext to load some resources, so I have: @Context private ServletContext servletContext; If I deploy this on Glassfish, the ServletContext is injected and it works like expected. But I don't know how to inject the ServletContext in my service class, so that I can test it with a JUnit test. I use Spring 3.0, JUnit 4, CXF 2.2.3 and Maven.

    Environment: Solaris 10 This mysql server has been up and running for 6 months now. Today all of a sudden it crashed. When typing 'mysql' as user it gives the error MYSQL" Error 2002 (HY000): Can't Connect to Local MySQL server though socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' The server try to open mysql, it stays open for 9-10 seconds and restarts the process.     In a jboss service I need to mock some inner class (not EJB) with JMockit. Just for tests I've created inner class ToBeMocked and another one Mock. While deploying to jboss I get error NoClassDefFoundError in line: Mockit.setUpMock(ToBeMocked.class, new Mock()); with message: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: mockit/Mockit jmockit.jar is added to the classpath in jboss_service.xml. Any ideas?

  • ASP.NET MVC Project and the App_Code folder

    How come App_Code is not a choices in the Add ASP.NET Folder submenu in the VS solution explorer? I realize you can create one yourself manually by just renaming a New Folder, but what is the rational here? Is this not where you are supposed to put "utility" or "service layer" type classes? On a MVC project side note. I do like the fact that there is a reference to System.Configuration out-of-the-box unlike the default ASP.NET Web Form Projects.

I was thinking of launching a WCF service that check with my license DB if it's a valid license and if it is, send a True.
