  • Web Service gets unavailable after several concurrent calls

    We are testing GoDaddy Virtual Data Center and came to a very strange issue when our web site gets unavailable. GoDaddy Support keeps saying the issue is in our web server settings, but looking at the result of our tests I doubt it. TEST ENVIRONMENT Virtual DataCenter with Windows hosted at GoDaddy.com. All servers have Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter, IIS 7. Server One with IP address 10.1.0.4 Server Two with IP address 10.1.0.3 Both servers are in private network not visible from outside. Port Forward with IP address 50.62.13.174. Port Forward is assigned to Server One TEST DESCRIPTION JMeter is used as a Client App to simulate 30 concurrent users sending 100 SOAP requests each. Interval between requests is 1 second. Http link used for testing: http://50.62.13.174/v2/webservices.asmx TEST ONE Test is run from a computer in our office. After JMeter starts running test, almost immediately, the link above becomes unavailable in a browser. After test completion, the link is not available in a browser for about 5 more minutes. Remote Desktop is working well, so we can connect to Server One remotely. After about 5 minutes since test completion, the link becomes available in a browser again. TEST TWO Test is run from Server Two (that is part of our virtual data center). Test works very well, no visible delays in processing. The link is available in a browser all the time. TEST THREE Test is run from Server One using localhost. The result is the same as in TEST TWO - no issues. TEST FOUR We repeated TEST ONE from other computers that we have located in different countries, all with the same result as TEST ONE. CONCLUSION As the test works well from Server Two, but does not work from outside our virtual data center, we feel there are issues with the network or its capacity. The whole behaviour looks like out requests from outside get stuck somewhere before reaching our virtual data center. Has anybody had similar issues in the past? Are there chances that something is wrong with our server settings?

I want to have a diagram with the following table: Apple 30 40 50 Pears 200 300 400 Bananas 10 20 30 The weird thing is, when I try to draw a bar diagram the order of the bars changes. So Excel first draws the bananas, then the pears, and finally the apple bar... Is there anyway to tell Excel 2003 to keep the original order? Thank you very much

  • USB mouse connecting and disconnecting randomly

    I've bought an acer aspire 5742G about 2 months ago or so and it's been running great, but sometimes I used to hear the windows error beep but I had no idea what was causing it since the "bug" was automatically fixed so fast I couldn't even see an error message (also it kinda always happened when I was busy also, either in a game or while doing my homework). Later on my mouse would simply not work for 3-5 seconds then work again, I thought nothing of it at the time. I also had a problem where it only worked in one usb and one only. To move it I had to remove the battery, unplug the laptop and hold the power button for 2 minutes to reset the bios settings. Since today though it went nuts. Sometimes it disconnects / reconnects 12 times in 10 seconds and windows just keeps beeping till I unplug it, then it runs smooth for 5-6 minutes then it goes nuts again. Other times it seems like it skips (disconnects for a fraction of a second) other times just for 2-3 seconds. But this is incredibly frustrating. Sometimes the power just goes down (the laser turns off) and well that at least I would understand but this is a rare occurrence. Now I know the usb ports work since I have a lot of other devices connected and I tried the mouse on a room m8's laptop so the mouse also works. My only conclusion is that it's an operating system / settings bug and / or problem (I have tried the mouse in all ports by the way). All drivers and bios are up to date (maybe except mouse but I can't seem to update that and the mouse has no name, just a serial number which helps with nothing. Still it worked till today and nothing should have changed any way). I have made sure windows can't shut it down to save power (in device management). Also I tried to delete the drivers and re-install them, rebooting and the power button trick but nothing. Most I have done is get rid of the 12 disconnects / reconnects every 10 seconds :) but that's all :( I would buy a new one but I'm afraid it might do the same thing. ****EDIT****** Tried the mouse again at a friend but now it didn't even install it's software nor did the update work. Think I'll just buy a new one but I'd still like a suggestion at least so I'll leave this open #### EDIT 2 Now it works again, I can't explain this. Still thinking of getting a new one though

  • C# Reading and Writing a Char[] to and from a Byte[] - Updated with Solution

    Hi, I have a byte array of around 10,000 bytes which is basically a blob from delphi that contains char, string, double and arrays of various types. This need to be read in and updated via C#. I've created a very basic reader that gets the byte array from the db and converts the bytes to the relevant object type when accessing the property which works fine. My problem is when I try to write to a specific char[] item, it doesn't seem to update the byte array. I know a possible solution is to use a private variable called _usercaplas that I set and update as needed however as the byte array is nearly 10,000 bytes in length the class is already long and I would like a simpler approach as to reduce the overall code length and complexity.   • How to check all check boxes at a click of a button

    I am new to Swing, UI and MVC I have created a code based on MVC. Now my problem is that that in the controller part i have an actioneventlistener which listens to different button clicks. Out of all those buttons i have "select all" and "de-select all". In my view i have a table, one of the column of that table contains "check boxes". Now, when i click the "select-all" button i want to check all the check boxes and with "de-select all" i want to uncheck all of them. Below is my code which is not working. Please tell me what am i doing wrong here. Also, if someone knows a more elagent way please share.     My httpd server has stopped working, within /var/log/messages I got the following error: May 10 08:08:30 linuxbox kernel: httpd[25353]: segfault at b7fb7991 ip 009ca63b sp bfec3d50 error 7 in libapr-0.so.0.9.12[9af000+1f000] Can anyone shed light on how to fix this, i've tried ghosting the drive, then removed apr and re-installed, but the error keeps coming up.

    I always get a remote connection time out when using PuTTy and also when i send emails with attachments from a mail sever installed on Debian. I always get this error. I'm not sure if this is firewall or the new Debian 5 installation which i made. Is there any settings i need to fix after fresh install. Any inputs are highly appreciated.     I'm trying to get to a local web site on my LAN at 192.168.1.10 with my Blackberry, but I'm getting a message saying the server did not respond. I know that some, if not all, internet traffic on a BES-connected blackberry goes through the BES. This is clear because I can access internal resources on my employers network via the mobile network. Is there any way for me to specify that the device should attempt to route directly over wifi before it tries to connect via the BES server at work?

    I have an LXC container with i686 Ubuntu 12.04 running on a x86_64 Ubuntu 12.04 host. I've set up a bridge using instructions here. However the ping from the container only goes through to the host and not to other machines on the local network. Similarly only the host and not the other machines see the container OS. The host's /etc/network/interfaces file looks as follows: auto lo iface lo inet loopback iface eth0 inet manual auto br0 iface br0 inet dhcp bridge_ports eth0 bridge_fd 0 bridge_maxwait 0 The container's /etc/network/interfaces file looks as follows: auto lo iface lo inet loopback auto eth0 iface eth0 inet dhcp And here's the relevant part of the container's config: lxc.network.type=veth lxc.network.link=br0 lxc.network.flags=up Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?   • iTunes Album Artwork not available in all Sizes

    I used iTunes and everything worked fine until today. When I try to display Large / Medium artwork, not all the artworks are displayed. However, when I try to display the small artworks, everything works. Large (buggy): Small (normal): Is there a way to fix this? Tech Specs: iTunes on Windows 7 x64, v. 10.3.1. All the artworks are stored locally on my hard drive (.jpg files (i added them manually)).

  • Best tools for "ssh tail -f" style log file monitoring and analysis

    I'm looking for a tool to monitor custom PHP Error logs/Apache and possibly Java logs on remote development servers. I'm not looking for a full production log system like Splunk, but something that's a little more flexible than an ssh terminal doing a "tail -f". Perhaps something that will: * Monitor multiple log files to my local machine for searching/analysis later * Allow "alerts" when certain strings appear in the log * Provide some kind of tabbed/dashboard view of the multiple logs being monitored (in total less than 10 logs).
