    Hi, I have a winform application calling web services hosted in IIS, by default, the client app will use Kerberose for authentication to IIS, and it failed for some reasons? But the same app works fine at another PC(with different user login), and I found it is using NTLM by checking the IIS server event log. is there anyway we can change the client app(winform) authentication type?     I am using this: byte[] buffer = new byte[10240]; As I understand this initialize the buffer array of 10kb filled with 0s. Whats the fastest way to fill this array (or initialize it) with junk data every time? I need to use that array like 5000 times and fill it every time with different junk data, that's why I am looking for a fast method to do it. The array size will also have to change every time.

    I have created a volume controller for iTunes but I would like this app to place an icon on the OS X system menu bar and have my slider controller drop down. I created this because I have to switch to iTunes to change the volume of the music because I am using the digital-out audio and the keyboard keys do not work in digital-out mode. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

The question came up wondering if we could set what roles are required for each page in java instead of the ApplicationContext.xml. Is there an attribute that I can use to mark a method or a class with a comment that should be shown as a warning in visual studio when I compile? Something like: [TBD(Msg="Please change me after 2010 07 20")] public void Foo(){ } or is there a possibility that I can derive from System.Attribute and make my own attribute, configuring visual studio so that it behaves as I described.

    I have a ul/li based side menu, styled with two CSS rules, the following of them is ignored by IE8 Quirks mode, and I assume IE6: ul { padding-left: 15px; } I can reproduce the problem in FF by removing this rule completely. I have also tried using jQuery to apply the rule, with no change in IE8: $("ul.menu-class").find("ul").css("padding-left", 15); Is this a box model issue, and, how can I reduce the UL 'padding' in IE Quirks Mode?

    Is there a way to go through different commits on a file. Say I modified a file 5 times and I want to go back to change 2, after I already committed and pushed to a repository. In my understanding the only way is to keep many branches, have I got that right? If I'm right I'm gonna have hundreds of branches in a few days, so I'm probably not understanding it really.     Hi, i'm using jQuery for sending ajax requests to the server, but i have some problems with the charset. In the ajax function documentation is written that data is always sent in UTF-8 according to the W3C XMLHTTPRequest standard, so i don't think that jQuery allows you to change the request charset (except if you load a script, but that's not my case). So do you know a way to set the ISO-8859-1 charset for the ajax request in jQuery?

  • Default Database Collations PenTesting Env

    I am using Ubuntu 9.10 with XAMPP ( Lampp "MYSQL 5.1.45 PHPMYADMIN 3.3.1 PHP 5.3.2 ) What my problem is, is that I set up my testing env to debug my scripts locally and when I did so there arose a problem. This problem is that I used firefox's addon SQLinject ME to test for weakness' and upon doing so it caused mysql to change the default local collations; character sets dir /opt/lampp/share/mysql/charsets/ collation connection latin1_general_ci (Global value) latin1_swedish_ci collation database latin1_swedish_ci collation server latin1_swedish_ci I have searched for quite sometime in regards to a solution to this problem and have come up with searching for the db.opt file which stores this information without success. Upon not finding a solution I removed lampp with the "sudo rm -fR /opt" command and reinstall and the problem still persists. I have tried to change the collations manually and still come up with the database displaying latin1_swedish_ci as the default language. Why is this a problem?? Why is it a problem with mysql? Because the application I am testing and debugging locally is built on the CodeIgnitor with Smarty framework and since this combination of framework is built to detect the LOCALES, Rather what the database defaults are I keep getting errors saying no language file for swedish...... Of course I could get the swedish language file to work around this problem but I do not feel the need to make this work around a perminant solution as with time when I move on to projects I will run into simular problems every time that A; When importing database files, backups etc it will default to import such databases as the locale swedish. B; As time passes on I might completly forget of this error and will be back to square one. I have found this code in searches for a fix,which seems to alter the tables to a desired Collaion; $value) { mysql_query("ALTER TABLE $value COLLATE latin1_general_ci"); }} echo "The collation of your database has been successfully changed!"; ? Which is handy to switch collations in One Schema at a time however this is not a fix when a framework doesnt care that the said database is in one langugae. It tests for the Default of the entire server. Someone with any knowledge of a purge or fix to this I would greatly appricate the help. One more final note is that when I was testing I only figured to back up the applications DataBase and not the entire Schema of the install. No matter if I uninstall or reinstall the database still seems to carry these problems.
