• Is there any way to prevent the display of unmatched xml tags using xslt?

  Here is a contrived example of an xml document. In my real world case, the xml is fairly complex with multiple nested levels. <alphabet> <a>A</a> <b>B</b> <c>C</c> ... and so on </alphabet> Using xslt, I want to transform the document so that only the vowels are printed. In my real world case, we're using empty template match tags to block the display. But that's too verbose for my liking.

  I have the following code: <map title="Authoring Guide"> <topicref href="topics/front-matter.xml"/> <topichead navtitle="My TopicHead"> <topicref href="topics/who-should-use.xml"/> </topichead> ... When the PDF is generated using oXygen editor with the PDF Legacy plugin, the topichead element is completely ignored, yet the nested topicref is in the PDF. Can anyone explain why a topichead might be ignored in processing? thanks!!

• How to query across many-to-many association in NHibernate?

  I have two entities, Post and Tag. The Post entity has a collection of Tags which represents a many-to-many join between the two (that is, each post can have any number of tags and each tag can be associated with any number of posts). I am trying to retrieve all Posts which have a given tag. However, I seem to be unable to get this query right. I essentially want something which means the same as the following pseudo-HQL: from Posts p where p.Tags contains (from Tags t where t.Name = :tagName) order by p.DateTime The only thing I've found which even approaches this is a post by Ayende. However, his approach requires the entity on the other side (in my case, Tag) to have a collection showing the other end of the many-to-many. I don't have this and don't really wish to have it. I find it hard to believe this can't be done. What am I missing?   I have DHTML content inside a fieldset. This includes plain html, nested objects (even other fieldsets), and value change of input, select, and textarea objects. I'd like to change the border of the fieldset if the contents have been changed. The following works: $('fieldset[name=qsfs127]').children('input').change(function(){ $(this).parent('fieldset').css({border:'1px solid red'}); }) This handles the input; I can extend it to select and textarea. Questions: How can I do the same for html changes? Can all of this change-tracking be done by comparing current html() to stored one? If yes for (2), will this handle cases of "undo"? • Update Statement Updates 0 Rows via the C# Winform Application?

  First of all, please help me out! I can not take this anymore. I could not find where the error is located. Here is my problem: I'm trying to update a row via c# winform application. The update query generated from the application is formatted correctly. I tested it in the sql server environment, it worked well. When i run it from the application i get 0 rows updated. Here is the snippet that generates the update statement using reflection - don't try to figure it out.   Getting the following error when trying to open a word document with macros to fill in the form fields: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Word\Security\AccessVBOM. The user opening the word document does not have admin rights and the AccessVBOM flag is either not available or set to zero.   I have a table that holds nested categories. I want to avoid duplicate names on same-level items (i.e., categories with same parent).   Hi all, I just set up Mercurial on our main webserver, hosting repositories via hgwebdir.cgi. The problem I'm having now is when I run hg push from my local machine to the server's repository, it takes an absolutely ridiculous amount of time to push a very small directory, with only a single changeset. Is it possible that I've set something up wrong? I keep getting HTTP Error 502: Bad Gateway. Thanks!

• How would you create a notification system like on SO or Facebook in RoR?

  I'm thinking that notifications would be it's own resource and have a has_many, through relationship with the user model with a join table representing the associations. A user having many notifications is obvious, and then a notification would have many users because there would be a number of standardized notifications (a commenting notification, a following notification etc.) that would be associated with many users. Beyond this setup, I'm unsure how to trigger the creation of notifications based on certain events in your application. I'm also a little unsure of how I'd need to set up routing - would it be it's own separate resource or nested in the user resource? I'd find it very helpful if someone could expand on this. Lastly, ajax polling would likely improve such a feature. There's probably some things I'm missing, so please fill this out so that it is a good general resource.

  What does it mean to have fetchBatchSize to be the same as fetchLimit, say both are set to be 5. My understanding is that, with the fetchLimit, then only 5 records will be in the fetch result set; and additionally with the fetchBatchSize, only the ids/identities of the records will be read to the memory, and then the full records won't be retrieved until they are accessed. Is that a correct understanding?

  There are multiple times in one page where I need to connect and subsequently query a MySQL database, yet my code won't let me. I think it might be something to do with how my files are nested but it makes no sense. I am opening the SQL connection in the header file.   We're seeing lots of virtual memory fragmentation and out of memory errors and then it hits the 3GB limit. The compilation debug is set to true in the web.config but I get different answers from everyone i ask, does debug set to true cause each aspx to compile into random areas of ram thus fragmenting that ram and eventually causing out of memory problems?

  I am trying to Select nodes from some webservice response XML to no avail. For some reason I am able to select the root node ("xmldata") however, when I try to drill deeper("xmldata/customers") everything is returned empty! • printer assignments for windows xp workstations within an active directory environment

  I'm using the following script to handle removing any old networked printers from machines and then assigning the propper ones and making one of them the default. This script is assigned to the OU the workstations reside in and uses group policy loopback so all users that login will get the appropriate printers mapped for them. I tried to use the new Printer Manager as part of W2K3 R2 but when assigning the default this way I get an error that the printer doesn't exist so I'm back to using the script. One flaw that I'm noticing is that it won't remove any printers that happen to be mapped from an RDP session (we don't see this everywhere but there are a few locations). Is there any way to enumerate all RDP printers and remove them similar to how I'm enumerating and removing networked printers? ' ' Printers.vbs - Windows Logon Script. • Nutch search always returns 0 results

  I have set up nutch 1.0 on a cluster. It has been setup and has successfully crawled, I copied the crawl directory using the dfs -copyToLocal and set the value of searcher.dir in the nutch-site.xml file located in the tomcat directory to point to that directory. Still when I try to search I receive 0 results. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
