  • iPhone app distribution: What name will appear on the AppStore?

    Hi there, Is there a way to change the name that displays on the AppStore, rather than the name associated with the credit card/apple ID associated with the developer programme? For example, if my name on my credit card was foo, and the name on the apple ID was foo, but I actually want the name displayed on the AppStore (i.e. next to my App's name and details) to be bar.     I'm making a tool to track calls to house/senate reps, and I have 2 tables of importance here: reps rep_id rep_name # and more info comments rep_id status # enum about result of contact comment I want to query for all reps joining the most recent associated comments and in some cases joining comments of a specific status, but there might not be any comments associated with that rep yet.     I am using PHP and Mysql I have PHP script in which I rollback all the data in the database such data all the old value be reset to the database if update is done, and all new value gets deleted if new insert has been done. Now my goal is to perform the same process with files/folders associated with the changes done, I am not able to create an idea for doing the rollback job with the files/folders associated with the Changes..   • How can I display different icons for same file extension

    Visual Studio has *.SLN files for 2008, and 2010. In explorer, the icon associated with the file is based on the version somehow. I was always under the impression that the associated icon just looked at the extension, but obviously there is more going on. I'm asking on stack overflow as a developer - for my application, but if you feel this belongs on another forum, I'm happy to move the discussion elsewhere. Thank you!

From my understanding I would like to declare an class stored property (not an instance one) so i have access via: MyCustomTableCell.ReuseIdentifer. Here is what I was trying: class MyCustomTableViewCell : UITableViewCell { class let ReuseIdentifier = "MyCustomTableViewCellReuseIdentifier" } The compiler mentions that class attributes are not supported yet. How to declare such kind of constants associated to a class type in a clean way?

    In NHibernate there is a merge function that does the following: if there is a persistent instance with the same identifier currently associated with the session, copy the state of the given object onto the persistent instance if there is no persistent instance currently associated with the session, try to load it from the database, or create a new persistent instance the persistent instance is returned Is this possible in EF? I mean this part : copy the state of the given object onto the persistent instance. And if i used ApplyCurrentValues it seemes to be as update behavior or not?

How do I propogate that change back to the UI such that if this value is true, the row associated with MyItem is highlighted (selected) and if it is false, the row associated with MyItem is not highlighted?     Hi, I found this great Tablesorter plugin for jQuery but I can't make it work with my PHP generated table. Here's the code: <script type="text/javascript"> function table() { $("#container").load("table.php?randval="+Math.random()); } $(document).ready(function() { table(); $("table").tablesorter(); }); </script> Where #container is the div where the table will be and table is the name of the table. I get the table loaded but sorting function is not working. It works if I put the table directly in html in the page.. but I don't see the point in having a static table for sorting. Any help would be very appreciated.

    Hi I want to use a gridview with sorting and paging to display data from an SQL server, the query uses 3 joins and the full text search containstable. The from part of the query uses all 3 tables in the join. What is the best way to do this? I can think of a stored procedure, SQL directly in the SQLDataSource and creating a view in the database. I want good performance and would like to leverage the automatic sorting and paging features of the gridview as much as possible.

    I've been trying to convert my aspx pages to cshtml and having an issue with rendering partial pages from another folder. What I used to do: <% Html.RenderPartial("~/Views/Inquiry/InquiryList.ascx", Model.InquiryList.OrderBy("InquiryId", MvcContrib.Sorting.SortDirection.Descending));%> I would think that the equivalent would be: @Html.RenderPartial("~/Views/Inquiry/_InquiryList.cshtml", Model.InquiryList.OrderBy("InquiryId", MvcContrib.Sorting.SortDirection.Descending)) This is obviously not working, I am getting the following error. CS1973: 'System.Web.Mvc.HtmlHelper' has no applicable method named 'Partial' but appears to have an extension method by that name. Extension methods cannot be dynamically dispatched. Consider casting the dynamic arguments or calling the extension method without the extension method syntax. How would I achieve this with using the Razor view engine?

    Hi, I am trying to create a dynamic datagrid in Flex 3, I have a list of columns a list of objects which correspond to datapoints for those columns which I fetch from a url. While the grid works perfectly fine the problem is that sorting on the columns is done in lexical order. I am aware that this can be fixed by adding a sortcomparefunction to a column, which is not easy for this case. I have tried doing var dgc:DataGridColumn = new DataGridColumn(dtf); f1[dtf] = function(obj1:Object, obj2:Object):int { return Comparators.sortNumeric(obj1[dtf],obj2[dtf]); }; dgc.sortCompareFunction = f1[dtf];` But the problem is that the function object that I am creating here is being overwritten in every iteration (as I am adding columns) and eventually all the columns will have sorting done only on the last column added. Suggestions please.

When you set DataSourceID of GridView, assigned ObjectDataSource take care of such things as paging and sorting, but i don't have full control above databinding itself, on the other side when i set datasource of gridview in code-behind: protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { if (!IsPostBack) { testGridView.DataSource = testObjectDataSource.Select(); testGridView.DataBind(); } } Now i have full control, but i have lost the advantage of comfort sorting and paging. And that co-operation between ObjectDataSource and Gridview became mystery for me. So can anybody explain me in details how ObjectDataSource and Gridview co-operates under the hood? I want to understand it in order to write my own smart code or own gridview that will mimic this co-operation. Many thanks for answers.

  • How do I detect when a cell's value has changed in Silverlight?

    Hey folks, I'm working in Silverlight, trying to figure out how to set a grid cell font color based on the contents of the cell. I have an ObservableCollection bound to a DataGrid, and my items implement INotifyPropertyChanged so the grid updates as I change the values; it's all working perfectly, including letting me sort items and keep the sorting while I update the underlying items. I know I can use the LoadingRow event to change colors, but the only way I can get the event to fire is by changing the grids datasource, in which case my sorting goes out the window. So, what I really want is a way to either 1) loop the rows in the datagrid, find the cell I need, and change it's color or 2) implement a custom column that I can use to dynamically set the color. The problem is how to actually do either of those things :) All suggestions welcome.

  • Hibernate: how to maintain insertion order

    I have a list of entities where creation order is important, but they do not contain a timestamp to use for sorting. Entities are added to the end of the list as they are created so they will be ordered correctly in the list itself. After persisting the list using Hibernate the entities appear in the database table in the order that they were created. However when retrieving the list using a new Hibernate session the list is now in reverse order of insertion/creation. Is this expected behaviour? Is there any way to retrieve the list in the same order as it appears in the table? The primary key is a UUID, and the list of entities should always have been created on the same IP address and JVM. This mean sorting by UUID is a possibility but I'd rather not make assumptions. Another possibility is if the list is guaranteed to always come out in reverse order I could always just work through it backwards.

    Given a list of items x1 ... xn and associated probabilties p1 ... pn that sum up to 1 there's a well known procedure to select a random item with its associated proabability by sorting the list according to weight, choosing a random value between 1 and 0, and adding up to a culmination sum until it exceeds the value selected and return the item at this point. So if we have x1 - 0.5, x2 - 0.3, x3 - 0.2, if the randomly chosen value is less than 0.5 x1 will be chosen, if between 0.5 and 0.8, x2, and else x3. This requires sorting so it needs O(nlogn) time. Is there anything more efficient than that?

    From Google's recommendations for URL structure: Sorting parameters. Some large shopping sites provide multiple ways to sort the same items, resulting in a much greater number of URLs. For example: http://www.example.com/results?search_type=search_videos&search_query=tpb&search_sort=relevance&search_category=25" When linking from outside, then having URLs differing only by sort parameters is obviously a bad idea: Google will not understand that these links point to the same item, i.e. that the item is popular. Therefore ranking will be lower than it should. But what's the alternative? Using a fragment identifier (#), and then doing the sorting in JavaScript? What else? Some settings in Webmaster tools?

    I am trying to create a DataTable with a multi row header. I'll exemplify here: | 2008 | 2009 | --------------------------------------------------------- | price | qty. | price | qty | --------------------------------------------------------- | 93993 | 34434 | 34244 | 3434 | ..... The years headers can be fixed as I don't want to do sorting by that. Is there a way to do that in Google Visualizations?
