  • Git: can I store known repositories along the repository?

    I am setting up a Git repository. I know you can add repositories using git config --global, but is there a way that those known repositories gets cloned by users? The goal would be that once the repo gets cloned by userz, they can push to other repos just by their aliases. For example, I add git://X/mobility.git as X to the repo (somehow), a user clone it from git://Y, but then can do git push X without previously doing the git config. How to do that?

  • Flex DataGrid with row number column

    I want to extend the DataGrid component so that there is a (read-only) column for the row number like you see in spreadsheets. I came across this article http://www.cflex.net/showFileDetails.cfm?ObjectID=735 but it depends on the data being unique for each row so that it can index into the array. If the data is not unique (like for an empty grid) it doesn't work. How can I implement that?

  • Lotus view column compare to string/integer

    I have a lotus view that stores a number. I need to perform some math against the value, but I am having a lot of problems getting the types to match up. doc.numOfGold = numGold and CInt(doc.numOfGold) = numGold and CInt(doc.numOfGold) = CInt(numGold) and doc.numOfGold = CInt(numGold) all return type mismatch. I've tried changing the column properties to treat it as a decimal, with no better luck. Any thoughts? Thanks!

  • How to call implemented method of generic enum in Java?

    I am trying pass an enum into a method, iterate over that enums values, and call the method that that enum implements on all of those values. I am getting compiler errors on the part "value.getAlias()". It says "The method getAlias() is undefined for the type E" I have attempted to indicate that E implements the HasAlias interface, but it does not seem to work. Is this possible, and if so, how do I fix the code below to do what I want?     I am attempting to sum over a detail grouping on a specific field in Microsoft Access, and assign that sum to a field in the general grouping. When I try to run the report, I get an "Invalid Column Name" error with the detail field getting the error. Has anyone previously encountered this?     When you read this you'll be awfully tempted to give advice like "this is a bad idea for the following reason..." Bear with me. I know there are other ways to approach this. This question should be considered trivia. Lets say you have a class "Transaction" that has properties common to all transactions such as Invoice, Purchase Order, and Sales Receipt. Let's take the simple example of Transaction "Amount", which is the most important monetary amount for a given transaction. public class Transaction { public double Amount { get; set; } public TxnTypeEnum TransactionType { get; set; } } This Amount may have a more specific name in a derived type... at least in the real world. For example, the following values are all actually the same thing: Transaction - Amount Invoice - Subtotal PurchaseOrder - Total Sales Receipt - Amount So now I want a derived class "Invoice" that has a Subtotal rather than the generically-named Amount. Ideally both of the following would be true: In an instance of Transaction, the Amount property would be visible. In an instance of Invoice, the Amount property would be hidden, but the Subtotal property would refer to it internally. Invoice looks like this: public class Invoice : Transaction { new private double? Amount { get { return base.Amount; } set { base.Amount = value; } } // This property should hide the generic property "Amount" on Transaction public double? SubTotal { get { return Amount; } set { Amount = value; } } public double RemainingBalance { get; set; } } But of course Transaction.Amount is still visible on any instance of Invoice. I can get this to work, but it only pulls up the first name, code and hex and I'm just not seeing what I'm doing wrong.
