The overriden method is called although the instance type of the base class is used and not the instance of the derived type. Now I am confused because a former question of mine Type parameter declaration must be identifier not a type is about calling the overriding generic method with the instance of base type which did NOT work!

• App Engine SDK Console Not Fully Updated on OSX for GAE Release 1.3.4

  I downloaded and am running the latest SDK (in About GoogleAppleEngineLauncher, I see it is version 1.3.4.794), but when I open the SDK Console and go to the Task Queue section, I still see "Tasks will not run automatically. Select a queue to run tasks manually." I have not added the flag --disable_task_running, so I'm confused as to why it is still manual for me.

  Finding it a little bit tedious migrating to the new Mysql Workbench (5.2.22) even though it has many more features than the older GUI tools. Right now I'm confused why I can't find an SQL reference when I open the Doc Library.   I can initialize a List like new List{1,2,3,4,5}; However List does not have a constructor which accepts a single parameter. So I tried to run this through the debugger and it seems to be calling the Add method. So how does the compiler know which method to invoke to add each individual element. I'm trying to figure out how to do that in android, and I got very confused. So... we have these Canvas that are write-only, and Bitmaps that are read-only?   When indenting java code with annotations, vim insists on indenting like this: @Test public void ... I want the annotation to be in the same column as the method definition but I can't seem to find a way to tell vim to do that, except maybe using an indent expression but I'm not sure if I can use that together with regular cindent. edit: The filetype plugin was already turned on I just got a bit confused about indenting plugins. The accepted answer may be a bit hackish but works for me as well.

  I have a PHP application using an Oracle XE database. Whenever I add a date the hours minutes, and seconds seem to get left out. Is there some special format, or type I should use to be able to store this? I have tried using to_date, and specifying the format I am using. One of the features I would like to add to this is that each menuitem has a different text colour when hovered over. Is it the role of the view to have a colour selector method or should the view handle this in it's code behind?
