    I would like to change the default gateway for the wired ethernet port on my laptop- the DHCP server is giving the wrong one. I would like it to revert to the existing config on a reboot. I would prefer a command line way of doing it - so I can easily repeat the command as needed. Do I need ipconfig or route - both of which confuse me.

  • make programmer notepad default files as .txt?

    I am using http://www.pnotepad.org/ (i wouldnt mind switching to something else if it lightweight and has most/all features i like which i'll check on a app by app basis) When i create a new tab/file and save it unless i write .txt i get a file with no extention. Which makes it hard to open since i cant double click it (i dont think i can tell win7 to set a default app for files with no extension) How do i make pnotepad save with a .txt when non are specified?

    I have managed to leave the make default option ticked when using the "open with" option in windows 7. I ideally want this removed so the OS can manage the file type as before. I can't find the menu to remove this anywhere, I'm sure it used to be in the folder options panel in XP. Thanks

    I am trying to remove my current email account from outlook and add another one I clicked on toolsaccount settings then removed my current account(gmail account) from the list of emails Then I clicked on new and add my new account (hotmail account), but no messages loads from my new account and my old messages from the old email still there under personal folders! Then I click on tools account settings data files and found personal folder as a defult file I tryed to remove it but I cant then I tried to set my new account as default but it didnt work

  • Set default page to virtual directory in IIS 6

    I have two applications, one of which is a store and is located under the virtual directory "store", while the main "application" is the parent website/application. However, when visiting the the top-level website address, I would like to start people in /store/default.aspx (technically "/store/home") but this is not allowed in the entry box in IIS. Currently I am doing the redirect manually in code, but was wondering if there was a way to do this in IIS or something. Thanks for any help.

    Is there a way, using Windows GPO, to set up a list of "default" mapped drives that can be applied to a group of users? I runs small network and would like to make sure that certain groups of users (like Sales or Support) have the same network shares mapped to the same drive letters irrespective of which PC they log onto. This would make the setup of new users easier and allow the centralised administration of the network locations shared. Any links to examples and/or step-by-step guides would be greatly appreciated.

  • iPhone UIButton addTarget:action:forControlEvents: not working

    I see there are similar problems posted here, but none of the solutions work for me. Here goes: I have a UIButton instance inside a UIView frame, which is positioned within another UIView frame, which is positioned in the main window UIView. To wit: UIWindow --> UIView (searchView) --> UISearchBar (findField) --> UIView (prevButtonView) --> UIButton (prevButton) --> UIView (nextButtonView) --> UIButton (nextButton) So far, so good: everything is laid out as I want it. However, the buttons aren't accepting user input of any kind. I am using the UIButton method addTarget:action:forControlEvents: and to give you an idea of what I'm doing, here's my code for nextButton: nextButton = [UIButton buttonWithType:UIButtonTypeCustom]; [nextButton setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"find_next_on.png"] forState:UIControlStateNormal]; [nextButton setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"find_next_off.png"] forState:UIControlStateDisabled]; [nextButton setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"find_next_off.png"] forState:UIControlStateHighlighted]; [nextButton addTarget:self action:@selector(nextResult:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside]; The method nextResult: never gets called, the state of the button doesn't change on touching, and there's not a damned thing I've been able to do to get it working. I assume that there's an issue with all these layers of views: maybe something is sitting on top of my button, but I'm not sure what it could be. In the interest of information overload, I found a bit of code that would print out all my view info.     www.domain.com community :action/* member/profile-(\d+)-(.+) member/profile-%d-%s 1 2 As you can see, I use a route with :action/* in to cover the homepages and the basics actions on index controller. domain.com/community/random_action = works good. domain.com/community/ doesn't work. The whole homepage is displayed. I checked, and the default route is matched. I tried assemble() on route "www-community-index" and it gives well www.domain.com/community I don't see from where comes the problem :(

  • Issues with Rails 3.1 API with Query String to Create action on Mac OSX Mountain Lion

    Hi I've been stuck on this problem for a while and would appreciate your help. I'm writing an API to allow an external source like a Browser Query String or a smartphone to enter some model User info in a form and hit the User create action to write the data to the db. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong with the code below. I've also observed that if I have code like @user = User.new(params[:user]), that this approach only works when a user enters their data within the form. And that if I have code such as @user = User.new( name: params[:name], location: params[:location], password = params[:password], email: params[:email]), that this code ONLY works for a Query string entry, but NOT both Query string AND regular form submission. Why is that and how can I write the code above in the Users Controller Create action, so that it takes care of both situations? URL used: localhost:3000/users/create?name=John&&[email protected]&&password=secret&&location=SanFrancisco&date=06122012 The date is of type string but it doesn't show up in the database. Why? Everything else does.
