  • ActionScript 3.0 Color Output Error?

    I'm employing color in a current AS3 project, and have come across what appears to be an error in the Flash Player (version 10). it might also be an error with Apple's DigitalColor Meter (version 3.7.2), which is what i'm using to sample the displayed colors on Mac OS X Snow Leopard (version 10.6.3). //Primary, secondary, and tertiary colors of the RGB color wheel var red:Number = 0xFF0000; var orange:Number = 0xFF7D00; var yellow:Number = 0xFFFF00; var chartreuse:Number = 0x7DFF00; var green:Number = 0x00FF00; var spring:Number = 0x00FF7D; var cyan:Number = 0x00FFFF; var azure:Number = 0x007DFF; //reads 0x0077FF var blue:Number = 0x0000FF; var violet:Number = 0x7D00FF; var magenta:Number = 0xFF00FF; //reads 0xFF00F8 var rose:Number = 0xFF007D; //reads 0xFF0077 all of these colors display normally except for 3: Azure, Magenta and Rose. they are coded with the appropriate number, but when i use the color meter to sample the displayed colors, those 3 return inaccurate results. anyone have any insight about this issue? what is causing the error, the Flash runtime or the color sampler? if it's the Flash player, could this problem be much deeper? *sampling this image will return inaccurate results due to .jpg compression. it's simply for illustration

  • Javascript function with PHP throwing a "Illegally Formed XML Syntax" error

    I'm trying to learn some javascript and i'm having trouble figuring out why my code is incorrect (i'm sure i'm doing something wrong lol), but anyways I am trying to create a login page so that when the form is submitted javascript will call a function that checks if the login is in a mysql database and then checks the validity of the password for the user if they exist. however I am getting an error (Illegally Formed XML Syntax) i cannot resolve.     sorry if it sounds dumb ' as i am i a process of learnning java i try to understand , why on earth i should "try" a method to catch errors. it looks to me like the concept is:- ' letting a process run assuming its not properly developed. should i always assume that a program based on classes and inheritance is bound for unexpected errors, which i should handle with such a heavy tools like try catch throw throws ? should all java programs be included withing try catch framework?     Yesterday I formatted my computer and did fresh install as it was due from long time. After the fresh install when I tried to install Semantic Search application using powershell, I was stopped by following error. Open the Powershell window and type following two lines and everything will fine right after that. Set-ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned Again, this is I have done for my environment where I am very careful what I will run. You can change the policy back to original restricted policy if you want to restrict future execution of the powershell scripts. Simple – isn’t it?     Sorry my English... hope you understand me... I had a document. Edited it yesterday. But today, when i open it, it was desync. It show an one month earlier version!! I LOST A LOT OF WORK!! And i can't recover my right version of the document! I have a paid plan for Ubuntu One, but this made me very angry. And i don't see a way to recover and don't see a way to talk to somebody! There's no recovery mode like Dropbox... Man, i'm really ANGRY!! REALLY! I'll not recomend Ubuntu One services anymore! I don't know what to do... I lost my work and now i'm one month late!     So I was writing some code and I noticed that apart from syntactical, type, and other compile-time errors, C++ does not throw any other exceptions. So I decided to test this out with a very trivial program: #include<iostream> int main() { std::count<<5/0<<std::endl; return 1 } When I compiled it using g++, g++ gave me a warning saying I was dividing by 0. But it still compiled the code. Then when I ran it, it printed some really large arbitrary number. When I want to know is, how does C++ deal with exceptions? Integer division by 0 should be a very trivial example of when an exception should be thrown and the program should terminate. Do I have to essentially enclose my entire program in a huge try block and then catch certain exceptions? I know in Python when an exception is thrown, the program will immediately terminate and print out the error. What does C++ do? Are there even runtime exceptions which stop execution and kill the program?

    I have an assignment and am currently caught in one section of what I'm trying to do. Without going in to specific detail here is the basic layout: I'm given a data element, f, that holds four different types inside (each with their own purpose): data F = F Float Int, Int a function: func :: F -> F-> Q Which takes two data elements and (by simple calculations) returns a type that is now an updated version of one of the types in the first f. I now have an entire list of these elements and need to run the given function using one data element and return the type's value (not the data element). My first analysis was to use a foldl function: myfunc :: F -> [F] -> Q myfunc y [] = func y y -- func deals with the same data element calls myfunc y (x:xs) = foldl func y (x:xs) however I keep getting the same error: "Couldn't match expected type 'F' against inferred type 'Q'. In the first argument of 'foldl', namely 'myfunc' In the expression: foldl func y (x:xs) I apologise for such an abstract analysis on my problem but could anyone give me an idea as to what I should do? Should I even use a fold function or is there recursion I'm not thinking about?

The log reader output is : ********* STATISTICS SINCE AGENT STARTED ************** 02-28-2011 20:12:08 Execution time (ms): 304141 Work time (ms): 304016 Distribute Repl Cmds Time(ms): 303764 Fetch time(ms): 300813 Repldone time(ms): 1826 Write time(ms): 5319 Num Trans: 15500 Num Trans/Sec: 50.984159 Num Cmds: 191639 Num Cmds/Sec: 630.358271 It seems Log Reader Reader-Thread Latency, and I also run 'sp_replcounters' and see more than 20,000 sec replication latency and keep on increasing. I used SQL profiler to monitor sp_replcmds and found sp_replcmds execution time was 11 sec to 15 sec Is it there any way to optimize to make Log Reader read faster from transaction log??? Other information: SQL Server 2008 (SP2) Standard 64 bit

  • How to check sshd log?

    Hello. I have Ubuntu 9.10 installed with sshd and i can successfully connect to it using login and password. I have configured an RSA key login and now have "Server refused our key" as expected. Ok, now i want to check sshd log in order to fingure out a problem. I have examined /etc/ssh/sshd_config and it have SyslogFacility AUTH LogLevel INFO Ok. I'm looking at /var/log/auth.log and... it's empty O_O. Changing Loglevel to VERBOSE helps nothing - auth.log is still empty. Any hints how i can check sshd log?

  • Enabling the log app on the WDTV

    Just flashed the last WDXLTV firmware on my WDTV and it's working fine. I tried to config a Wifi USB adapter but couldn't get it to work. Dropped the log-saver.app.bin on the root of the stick but didn't find any log files after booting. What I'm doing is turning on the WDTV with the stick inserted (the stick is formatted with FAT32). Tried with the wireless-mod.app.bin required files and without any other file than the log saver. I can't get a log file anyway. All I want right now is to get the log file so I can debug the WI FI adapter.

    I wrote a little bash script and all of a sudden my /var/log folder is completely empty except for the log I created for the bash script. So if anyone could give me a pointer as to what could be going on about the reason why my log folder is empty, that'd be great.

    I'm sending logs from my Heroku app to an rsyslog server, but the resulting log files seem to come up empty. The rsyslog configuration for receiving remote messages is as follows: $template RemoteDailyLog,"/var/log/remote/%hostname%/%$year%/%$month%/%$day%.log" :fromhost-ip, !isequal, "127.0.0.1" -?RemoteDailyLog & ~ My complete rsyslog configuration is available in this paste. This configuration appears to create the directories correctly. I see the Heroku app's logging hostname (of the form "d.xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx") appear in /var/log on the rsyslog host, which implies that log messages are successfully making it to the logging daemon, but the resulting logfiles are zero-size. I'm guessing the issue is with rsyslog, rather than Heroku, but I'm not sure where to look next.

    I want to setup a simple log server to accept logs from all clients. I am not talking about standard system logs such as /var/log/mail , message, boot etc. I want to redirect or send application logs and they may not be using syslog daemon at all to log their message. Such as /appdir/log/error.log. I ran across many posts on the internet; most suggest using rsyslog or syslog-ng. Well so far I have been able to redirect the standard system logs not the application logs. I am using centos 5/6 environment.

  • central log-server with auditdisp

    I want to setup a central log-server. The log-server is running with debian 6.0.6 and the audit daemon is installed in version 1.7.13-1. The Clients are running with Red Hat 5.5 and they connect to the log-server via audispd. The connection works fine and i get all messages from each node. My questions is: is it possible that the auditd daemon from the log server write the messages from each node in a separate file? I try to transfer the messages via the syslog daemon, that works but i can not use tools like ausearch to analyze these log-files.

    Hello, I am in the middle of writing new network management software for my University. However, I need to implement a quickie solution to handle specific traps. Right now, my snmptrapd is configured to accept any traps, i.e.: # /etc/snmp/snmptrapd.conf authCommunity log publicString logOption f /var/log/snmptrapd.log format1 "" format2 "%02.2h:%02.2j %b %N\n" What I basically want to do is to log ONLY v2c traps. I intended to do it with setting the format for v1 traps to null (format 1 "") but snmptrapd keeps sending "" to its log. Does anybody know a workaround for this?
