  Hi, does anyone know if it is possible to cast a generic type with a certain type parameter (e.g. Bar) to the same generic type with the type parameter being a base type of Bar (such as object in my case). And, if it is possible, how would it be done? What I want to do is have a collection of Foo but be able to add Foos with more specific type arguments. Thanks

  Hi, Is there a way I can have a custom quick launch menu on a particular page on a MOSS subsite. I have tried detaching the page layout on on the page this works fine and copys the master page layout code into the aspx file. But it does not copy the code for the Quick launch menu. I know I can change the Quick Launch items per site but can I change this per page on a site? Thanks Nav

  I see that the orange button on the top left of a window minimize the application to the bottom right dock bar. If I click on the red button on the top left, it minimizes to the dock bar as well but to the left, and with a light underneath. What is the difference?

• Menu glitchy on top of slideshow

  I have implemented the following set up (after being requested): slideshow of images changing, after the user mouse over, the menu would appear in the top right corner, it would disappear on mouse out. The problem is that the menu it glitchy in both IE6/7 and FF 3.5. I have tried Jquery hover, mouseenter, mouseleave, all with the same result. http://www.codecookery.com/test/index.html is it possible to make it not glitchy at all?

  I'm not big on creating GUI's, and generally my philosophy is: I don't create them, or I make them as simple as possible (and convince myself that it's better for usability :) For my current project, I'm using Qt from Python (PyQt), and I want to start adding some GUI elements without cluttering the interface. My idea is to create these elements as sort of floating-shaped-widgets that only appear when necessary; pretty much like the status bar (and find bar) in chrome. • META/APPLE click on Opera brings up the flash contextual menu
