• Copying a chunk of output in Windows 7

  Hello, I'm wondering how to copy a chunk of output in the command prompt in Windows 7. What I'm ultimately trying to accomplish is when I type "route print" I want to copy the IPs listed under IPv4 Route Table. I used the findstr command to grab 1 line at a time but is there a way to grab the whole table in one shot? Thanks,

• disable possword policy using command prompt in Server 2008

  Is there a way to disable password policy in Windows Server 2008 using command prompt. I know how to do it using Local Security Policy in Administrative Tools. I was wondering if there is a way to change using command prompt. I guess there must be some registry settings that needs to be changed but I do not know which entry in registry will disable the password policy. If you can tell me which registry entry I can write the command prompt myself. Thanks

• Mass bulk add domains to web hosting service (possible?)

  I was wondering if anyone does bulk adding of domains to your web hosting provider (Amazon, Linode, Rackspace, etc). I am thinking of creating a product that allows user to host their site on top of my web hosting and want something that can allow me to bulk add domains (and point DNS to my web hosting DNS) with as little manual work as possible. • Can I run a site search like Lucene on a single 2 gig server that's also a web & mysql server

  My site's pages have exceeded the limit of pages for Google Custom Search so many of the results are not found in our site search. I've been reading about Lucene, Nutch, Solr, etc and I'm wondering if I'd have the requirements for running those on a single server that also runs the site (on nginx) and our mysql server. We hae 2 gigs of RAM. I'd appreciate any suggestions for migrating to a new site search.

  I just started playing with VirtualBox to check out different versions of Linux. I was wondering if it would be possible (and recommended) to set up a single virtual machine with multiple partitions - one for each separate version of Linux, one for swap memory, and one fully shared /home partition? Still new to Linux, but I've read this is a good way to partition so you can share common applications between Linux installations, however I think everything I've read is pertaining to literal partitions and not virtual machines.

• Getting Outlook notification on more than just Inbox messages

  Outlook can notify the user every time a new email is received in the Inbox folder. (On Mac it also shows the # of unread messages in the Inbox). I have some server rules setup which makes certain emails go straight to a custom folder. I was wondering if there is an easy way to make Outlook do this before new messages in All folders or better yet, some customizable set of folders. I am using Outlook 2011 on Mac.

What I'm wondering is, how does the addon download it, and do other people see that i'm downloading the videos? For example, is all the software to download the video already on my computer, or does the addon contact someone else to get the video, or let them know?   Hi, I was wondering if it is possible, in Exchange server 2010, to disable a mailbox account, lets call it mailuser and if anyone sends a E-mail for [email protected] then it will send a mail back with some sort of standard "This E-mail is no longer in use. Please write to [email protected] instead" mail. I know I can create an "out-of-office" reply from the users outlook, but it would be so much faster to do it within the exchange server.   I got about 2000 clients on my website that have subscribed to our mailing list. I've used in the past Swift Mailer but it didn't work the way it was supposed to. I'm wondering if there is a way that Postfix could keep emails on the mailq (if lots of emails are sent at the same time) and send chunks of 20-30 emails every 10-20 mins. So this way, our server is not blacklisted. Any suggestions will be appreciate it.

• Upgrade from Etch to Lenny, server no longer reboots

  Hi, I just upgraded my (remote) webserver to Lenny from Etch. and no real issue occurs except that I cannot reboot that server. (I can only start in a rescue mode) I recall that a MBR change performed and I am wondering if that could be the reason for this failure. Would someone know how I can revert this MBR change ?   My most common grep line is just.. grep -IRl "text" * However I'm kinda getting tired of retyping this over and over - is there some way I can make an alias command so that those arguments are always enabled? And, I was wondering what arguments you usually specify for text searching - my two arguments 'R' for recursion, 'I' for not including binary types like jpg/gif, and 'l' for line number seem a bit too minimal. Which arguments do you use?

  Hi there, We run a cluster of openvz servers and are looking for a way to automatically graph the content of user_beancounters for all ves. We currently have a fairly rudimentary cron which alerts us when limits are hit but we could like a graphing solution to show us history. Obviously we could roll our own using some fancy bash/php/perl and rrdtool but we're wondering if there are any existing solutions before we go down this path. We current run a cacti/snmp based graphing infrastructure.
