    I have a datetime field for the transaction date in the back end. So I am passing that date from front C#.net, in the below format: 2011-01-01 12:17:51.967 to do this I have written: presentation layer: string date = DateTime.Now.ToString("yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss.fff", CultureInfo.InvariantCulture); PropertyClass prp=new PropertyClass(); Prp.TransDate=Convert.ToDateTime(date); PropertyClass structure: Public class property { private DateTime transdate; public DateTime TransDate { get { return transdate; } set { transdate = value; } } } From DAL layer passing the TransactionDate like this: Cmd.Parameters.AddWithValue("@TranSactionDate”, SqlDbType.DateTime).value=propertyobj.TransDate; While debugging from presntation layer: string date = DateTime.Now.ToString("yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss.fff", CultureInfo.InvariantCulture); in this I am getting correct expected date format, but when debugs goes to this line Prp.TransDate=Convert.ToDateTime(date); again date format changing to 1/1/2011. But my backend sql datefield wants the date paramter 2011-01-01 12:17:51.967 in this format otherwise throwing exception invalid date format. Note: While passing date as string without converting to datetime getting exceptions like: System.Data.SqlTypes.SqlTypeException: SqlDateTime overflow.   • Apache refusing to change DocumentRoot

    I've installed Zend Server CE 5.1.0 on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit in its default location, meaning the path to my htdocs is C:\Program Files (x86)\Zend\Apache2\htdocs. Not something that I would like to type each time I check out a project from SVN in Eclipse or something. I'd like to set the DocumentRoot to a different folder, namely D:\www. What I've done I edited conf/httpd.conf, with the significant lines being: DocumentRoot "D:\www" <Directory "D:\www"> Options Indexes FollowSymLinks AllowOverride All Order allow,deny Allow from all </Directory> Include conf/extra/httpd-vhosts.conf I edited conf/extra/httpd-vhosts.conf to add a virtual host: NameVirtualHost *:80 <VirtualHost *:80> DocumentRoot D:\www ServerName localhost ServerAlias localhost SetEnv APPLICATION_ENV development SetEnv APPLICATION_DOMAIN localhost </VirtualHost> <VirtualHost *:80> DocumentRoot D:\www\UmbraCMS ServerName umbracms.local ServerAlias umbracms.local SetEnv APPLICATION_ENV development SetEnv APPLICATION_DOMAIN umbracms.local </VirtualHost> I edited C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts to add this line: 127.0.0.1 umbracms.local And I also added a PHP project to D:\www\UmbraCMS. And restarted Apache. Actually, I restarted the computer, too, just in case. What's supposed to happen After typing http://umbracms.local/ in the browser's address bar, I want to see my PHP project launch, obviously. What's actually happening No matter whether whether I type http://umbracms.local/ or http://localhost/, I'm taken to the test zend page, located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Zend\Apache2\htdocs\index.html, as if neither DocumentRoot was changed nor name-based virtual hosting worked. Interestingly, when I put another project in C:\Program Files (x86)\Zend\Apache2\htdocs\bugraid\ and then, in the browser, typed http://localhost/bugraid, the project actually opened, or at least tried to, as it completely ignored the project's .htaccess file. Extra considerations Zend Server's Apache version is 2.2.16, PHP version is 5.3.0 I've installed MySQL CE 5.5.13 separately, and it works, both from command line and via MySQL Workbench. I have XAMPP installed, but none of its components are started up. It's got its own install of Apache 2.2.17 and MySQL 5.5.1. PHP version is 5.3.5 (I think). Question Have you had a similar situation before? What else might need taking care of in order to have Zend Server's Apache use D:\www as document root for my PHP projects?

    I was wondering if anyone else has figured out how to solve this problem. Whether I install the extension via PECL or compile it by hand, I get the same error: PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/local/zend/lib/php_extensions/gearman.so' - dlopen(/usr/local/zend/lib/php_extensions/gearman.so, 9): no suitable image found. Did find: /usr/local/zend/lib/php_extensions/gearman.so: mach-o, but wrong architecture in Unknown on line 0 I have no idea how to fix this problem and I can only bang my head into my desk so many times.

    I need to compare two dates to show an edit link if it is within 5 mins after the post was made, in php. If after 5 mins dont show anything. $answer_post_date = get_the_time("Y-m-d"); $current_date = date("Y-m-d"); $formated_current_date = strtotime($answer_post_date); $formated_answer_post_date = strtotime($current_date); At this point i have two values: 1274414400 ($formated_current_date) 1276056000 ($formated_answer_post_date) I am not sure what to do next to check if the current date/time is ! 5 mins from answer post date. Any suggestions would be great All i really need the answer to be is a Boolean (yes/no) and if yes display the minuets left to show the link to edit.

    I seem to be unable to use :order_by for more than one column at a time. For example, I have a "Show" model with date and attending columns.   • Perl date function/module able to understand full unabbreviated months.

    Let's say I read in a string from somewhere that contains a date, and it's date format doesn't abbreviate the month. Is there a module that can handle reading it in, and then outputting it to whichever format I choose? I've taken a quick look through CPAN, and every date module I looked at didn't seem to accommodate an unabbreviated month. Thanks for any help EDIT: As an example, say we have a string like this; "2 February 1988". Now we want to convert it into "1988-02-02" (YYYY-MM-DD).

    I am trying to turn this type of format of the date: Thursday, November 10th, 2011 at 10:37 PM Into an ISO 8601 format (with PHP). How can I do this? I've tried: date("c", $row2['time']) Obviously, that's not correct, because the timeago jQuery plugin is saying "41 years ago", and that is definitely not 41 years ago. Is it not possible to turn that kind of date into the ISO 8601 format? I've tried searching for this and I haven't found any solutions on how to turn this format into ISO 8601.

I did this in a Plugin Controller named ViewSetup.   • Magento, NGINX, PHP-FPM, APC, MEMCACHED, 16gb Ram CentOS, Spiking PHP-FPM to 100% CPU

    I have been trying to resolve my issue of spiking cpu caused by php-fpm processes. I've reduced the php-fpm config settings to: pm = ondemand pm.max_children = 12 pm.start_servers = 2 pm.min_spare_servers = 2 pm.max_spare_servers = 10 pm.max_requests = 500 php_admin_value[memory_limit] = 128M Problem still exists. I'm running a Joomla main site (which is having no problems) and a Magento store in a sub-directory. My server is a Linux CentOS, running NGINX, APC, Memcached, Full Page Cache and php-fpm. My server has 8 cores and 16gb dedicated ram. My host has shut down my server several times the past week because my php-fpm processes are consuming the entire network. A lot of the individual php-fpm processes are getting over 50% cpu. I've hired several "professionals" and none of them was able to help me, so now broke and stumped, I'm turning to you guys for help. So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. the server is not using much memory: Mem: 16777216k total, 1204040k used, 15573176k free My.conf settings: query_cache_size = 128M innodb_buffer_pool_size = 512M open-files-limit = 8192 table_cache=4096 I just noticed that someone changed my innodb_buffer_pool_size to 512M. Shouldn't this be set to 80% of available ram? So I have 16gb ram so it should be set at 12G; however, I set it at 10G. What do you think? I made that change and restart everything. Php-fpm is still spiking cpu. Here is just 1 php-fpm process: 23942 user 17 0 507m 99m 27m R 90.9%CPU 0.6 0:03.46 php-fpm I'm sure there may be more information you will need to help, so just let me know what you guys need to help me figure this out.   • Secure an Application/Software by expiration with Date?

    I have been working on some software application and I update them every 6 months. Currently, the way I track the date is by extracting the date from the system when the user installes the application, encrypt it and store it in a file locally. Whenever the application is started, it checks if 6 months have passed, then it works or it doesn't, in which case it shows an error message telling the user to update. I wonder whether there is a better way to do this. Any comments or suggestions would be highly appreciated

I know how to list all files not accessed within the last x days using find and -atime, but what I'm looking for is to come up with a listing of the last access date for files one level down in directory /foo: /foo/bar1.txt Dec 11, 2001 /foo/bar2.txt Nov 12, 2008 /foo/bar3.txt Jan 12, 2004 For folders one level down in directory /foo, list the date of the most recently accessed file within the directory (no limit on depth for identifying last access date) /foo/bar1/ Feb 13, 2012 /foo/bar2/ Oct 11, 2008 Where /foo/bar1/ has a file modified Jan 1, 1998 and Feb 13, 2012 and /foo/bar2/ has 30 files, most recent of which was accessed Oct 11, 2008.     I've been using GoDaddy to manage about 50 domain names for a few years, but recently decided to move (probably to namecheap) because of the elephant killing incident. One GoDaddy's feature I like a lot is Consolidate, which allows you to change the expiration date of domain names for a small fee. I've searched for a while but didn't find any other registrar that provides this feature. Does anyone know if there's a registrar that allows you to change the expiration date of domains? Thanks!

    My dev environment is Win XP SP2 / Apache 2.something PHP 5.something_or_other My prod env is Linux Ubuntu / Apache 2.something_else PHP 5.something_or_other_else The code is all Zend Framework Version: 1.11.1 I can telnet to: smtp.gmail.com 465 from the PC. I have Mercury configured on my PC to use gmail as it's smtp host and it works just fine. (MercuryC SMTP Client). Mercury is set to use port 465 and SSL on smtp.gmail.com -- No problem. Zend mail works just fine on my production environment using the production mail server to send out mail. It's the same basic application.ini but with different values in the mail variables. On my local PC dev setup, my application.ini contains: (same values as I use in Mercury) mail.templatePath = APPLICATION_PATH "/emails" mail.sender.name = "myAccount" mail.sender.email = "[email protected]" mail.host = smtp.gmail.com mail.smtp.auth = "login" mail.smtp.username = "[email protected]" mail.smtp.password = "myPassWord" mail.smtp.ssl = "ssl" mail.smtp.port = 465 I have been doing trial and error for hours trying to get a single email out with no success. In every case, regardless of server or port settings it throws an error and reports: Could not open socket. Both Apache and Mercury Core are exceptions in my Windows Firewall config. Mercury seems to be having no problem. I have searched stackoverflow before posting this and have been googling for hours -- with no success. I am slowly losing my mind I would be very much obliged for any tip as to what might be wrong.
