All,
I have a hosts file that looks like this:
10.10.10.1 myserver1 myserver1alias
10.10.10.2 myserver2 myserver2alias
I'm looking for a way using perl to pass in an argument of myserver1 and have it return myserver1alias, likewise if I pass in myserver2 it should return myserver2alias. Any suggestions?
Is there anything the Dalvik VM supports (in terms of bytecode) which is not used currently because the .class files don't have it?
As an example, if people would write their own Source-to-DX converter for their functional language XYZ, would they be able to implement e. g. full tail calls although the .class file does support tail calls only under certain circumstances?
I'm attempting to hook into whatever explorer calls when a file is opened (double-click, context menu open, etc.), however I can't figure out which function that is.
Originally, I thought it was ShellExecute, as that does the same thing as far as I can tell, but after hooking into it I learned that it's only used when a new explorer window is opened.
Any ideas which function I should be hooking?
Hi Guys,
Quick question....
We're trying to make a decision on a dms here and Alfresco has been recommended to us.
Is the Alfresco Document Management supportive of all file types?
Thanks!
I have several projects in Perforce that I need to maintain in Eclipse. I did a successful import the first time, but I've since removed all projects from the workspace and deleted the Perforce files from the P4 folder. I'm not very familiar with Perforce so I'm not sure why whenever I try to re-import those projects, all I get is a .project file instead of the whole package.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
When a GSM modem is receiving voice(i.e., multiple wave files continuously) in the voice path, how will the modem able to identify the completion of a single wave file? Is there any software that could perform this?
I need to determin the byte size of a file.
The coding language is C++ and the code should work with Linux, windows and any other operating system. This implies using standard C or C++ functions/classes.
This trivial need has apparently no trivial solution.
Is there a way to pass data from a View to a Controller so that I can get the data and create a .xls file on the fly?
Any help or thoughts are greatly appreciated.

I have turned on warnings as errors and now i need to XML comment all of my public methods.
just to get my program compiling, i just want to put placeholders for now.
Is there anyway to automatically add XML comments to all of the public members in a class or a file.
I see ghost doc which gives you good autogenerated XML comments but it still looks like it only does one member at a time.
I have a PHP file that I need it to detect it's directory it's in. In my case I want it to return C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs\
I think that this is pretty straightforward but if there is something you don't understand just comment
Can't I set session and cookie in same PHP file?
I get an error message if I set the cookie after I've set session telling me that the header is already sent.
If I set session after cookie I get nothing but it seems not to work well.
I manually placed a library in the library directory (/usr/local/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8) and when I try to require it, it says "no such file to load".
I used "$:.first" to get the library path, so why wont it work? Is there any good way to debug this?
Thanks

I wonder how to list content of tar file only down to some level?
I understand "tar tvf mytar.tar" will list all files, but sometimes I wish I can just see directories down to some level.
Similarly for command "ls" how to control the level of subdirectories that will be displayed? By default, it will only show the direct subdirectories, but not further.
Thanks and regards

I want to open a file for reading, the C++ way. I need to be able to do it for text files, which would involve some sort of read line function, and a way to do it for binary files, which would provide a way to read raw data into a char* buffer.
How do you access a file to use in unit tests? (Every time I have asked with more specific information I cannot get ANYONE to answer. This is as freaking basic as it gets. HELLO? IS ANYONE OUT THERE?)
Hello,
I want to make an executable file (.exe) of my python's application.
I want to know how to do it but have this in mind:
I use a c++ dll!
Do I have to put the dll along side with the .exe or is there some other way?
Thanks in advance!
I am looking into a way of setting read access on a specific file for a web application (where all files read option is set to be false--unchecked in IIS) deployed with Wix. Is it a possible option at all or I am asking the question in a wrong way?
Thank you.
Is there any way to unpack or extract a zip file with PHP that does not rely on any installed extension? Has anyone written a class or something that can handle it?
Alternatively, is there a solution that uses an extension that is relatively commonly installed on most servers?
I need this to work on as many different servers that I have no control over as possible.
Thanks for any help!
Hello,
I have this command openssl genrsa -des3 -out host.key 1024

how I can make it read the password from a text file (host.pass) so it will not ask me

Thanks
How can I send trace messages to the console (like print) when I'm running my Django app under manage.py runserver, but have those messages sent to a log file when I'm running the app under Apache?
I reviewed Django logging and although I was impressed with its flexibility and configurability for advanced uses, I'm still stumped with how to handle my simple use-case.
My apologies for not being able to find the answer elsewhere-- this is a newbie question I know.
