    hi, I'm student working on optimizing GCC for multi-core processor. I tried going through the source code, it is difficult to follow through it since I need to add some code to the back end. Can anyone suggest some good resource which explains the code flow through the different phases. Also suggest some development environment for debugging GCC mainly to step through the code.   • WLI domain with 3 servers - issues on JPD process startup

I'm currently working on a clustered WLI environment which comprehends 3 servers: 1 admin server ("AdminServer") and 2 managed servers ("mn1" and "mn2") grouped as a cluster, as follows: Architecture diagram: http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/4112/clusterdiagram.jpg I've developed a JPD process to execute some scheduled tasks, invoked using a Message Broker. I've deployed this project into a single-server WLI domain (with AdminServer only) and it works as expected: the JPD process is invoked (I've configured a Timer Event Generator instance to start it up). Although, I'm having some issues with this, as I cannot get it to work properly, even if it still works. However, I don't see any output coming out neither at AdminServer console or mn1 console.   • Watchpoints w/xDebug in Eclipse PDT?

    Has anyone gotten watchpoints to work when debugging PHP with xDebug and Eclipse? The way I understand it, I'm supposed to be able to select a watched variable in the expressions view or select a variable in the Variables view during debugging, and then select Run-Toggle Watchpoint. But Toggle Watchpoint is constantly greyed out. All my other debugging functions work fine: breakpoints, step in, out, over, etc. Just can't get a watchpoint working.

    Hi, I've got a problem with OpenVZ with bridged VLAN. I don't have any switch so no problem with unmanageable switch. I've also adapted my PF configuration to work with VLAN but I don't see any incoming traffic.   • Default value of a type

    For any given type i want to know its default value. In C#, there is a keyword called default for doing this like object obj = default(Decimal); but I have an instance of Type (called myType) and if I say this, object obj = default(myType); it doesn't work Is there any good way of doing this? I know that a huge switch block will work but thats not a good choice.

  • What is the best way to handle my softwares licenses?

    By best I mean more time tested, easier to implement and easier for the users to work with. I do not want my licensing crap to interfere with their work. I was thinking of launching a WCF service that check with my license DB if it's a valid license and if it is, send a True. If the returned response is False, then shut down the program after telling them to fix their license. Do you think this is a good way to handle it?

    Is there any Java profiler that allows profiling short-lived applications? The profilers I found so far seem to work with applications that keep running until user termination. However, I want to profile applications that work like command-line utilities, it runs and exits immediately. Tools like visualvm or NetBeans Profiler do not even recognize that the application was ran. I am looking for something similar to Python's cProfile, in that the profiler result is returned when the application exits.

  • Administrative shares in Windows 7 Pro not visible

    My desktop machine has a clean install of Windows 7 Professional. For some reason the standard administrative shares Admin$, C$, D$, etc are not visible, either in Computer Management - Shared Folders - Shares or via net share. I also have a laptop with a clean install of Windows 7 Professional, and I can see the admin shares in both places. As such, I can map to \\laptop\c$ from the desktop, but I can't map to \\desktop\c$ from the laptop. I pretty much took the defaults during the Windows 7 installations. I've tried adding LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy to the registry on the desktop, but that didn't work. On the desktop I've also disabled UAC, turned off Windows firewall, removed it from a homegroup, made sure file and printer sharing is turned on, but nothing has worked. There is some subtle difference between the two machines that I can't seem to find. I'm logging into both machines using a local account that is in the Administrators group. Both accounts have the same name and password. I really don't want to have to create a new share for the desktop's C drive, especially since C$ is visible and working on the laptop and therefore I should be able to make it work on the desktop. Any idea why the admin shares would work on one machine and not another? Or why LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy would fail?

  • CD/DVD Drive not detecting locally burned CD/DVDs, but works fine with Genuine discs.

    I'm using Dell Inspiron 1420 - 32 Bit - Windows Vista, since 2.5 years. I'm facing a strange problem with my CD/DVD-drive. I cannot run/play a CD/DVD which I get burned from my friends. But when I insert Genuine CD, I'm able to play/run it. And when I try to install my Vista package which I got with my notebook, the CD/DVD gets loaded. If I insert a CD/DVD which I get from my friend, CD doesn't get loaded and the system gets hanged. But all these CDs/DVDs work on other systems. I've tested it on many of my friends PCs. So, now I'm able to run only genuine CDs & a few genuine DVDs. My Experience/Experiments: I tried to install Windows Vista using Genuine DVD - It worked I tried to install Ubuntu which I got from shipped from Canonical Ltd. - It worked I tried to install OpenSUSE .iso file burned to a DVD in my friend's PC - It didn't work for me (But working perfectly fine in my friends PCs(Tested in 4 other PCs) Tried to play a DVD containing movies, burned in my friend's PC - It didn't work for me (But working perfectly fine in my friends PCs Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.   • Is there a workaround for the broken closeOnEscape in jQuery UI Dialog

    It looks like there is a bug in jQuery UI Dialog where there closeOnEscape doesn't work properly, such that escape will still close the dialog. One possible solution is to unbind the keydown on the overlay, but this doesn't seem to work. Is there another solution that works?   • Windows 7 search does not return results from indexed folders

    I am experiencing this issue over and over again and I just cannot seem to find the answer. It doesn't make sense, but search simply does not return results from folders that certainly have these files inside. It's weird that this technology exists for more than 5 years now (it could be added to Windows XP as an addon), and they still haven't got it right. My folder contains 10 image files with .png extensions. Two scenarios: Scenario 1: I exclude the folder using Indexing options. Search works. Scenario 2: I turn on indexing for this folder. Search does not work. Of course, Agent Ransack returns results every time. When I check Advanced options for the Indexing options inside control panel, .png files are checked in the File Types tab, using the "File Properties filter". What's the deal with this? [Edit] To clarify, this doesn't happen with all folders, but does with more than one. For the "problematic" folders, even *.* doesn't return a single result. I found some advice to clear the archive and readonly attributes for all files (doesn't make sense, but hey), but it didn't work. Indexing status in Control panel is: Indexing complete. 100,000 items indexed. Folder is included in the list. File types list contains the .png extension (although it doesn't work with any filter, not even *.*).

I have compiled the class whitelist. I'd searched similar questions, but found only template that based on SecurityManager which AFAIK is deprecated. Can anybody give me a simple sample how to run code in sandbox based on security policies and AccessController?
