    Is that dangerous : for the computer (without the battery) for the cells If possible, explain why. Edit : Here are some more assumptions : Without the battery included, there is no risk of overheating the cell, or over charging them. But there is still some dc to dc conversion taking place on the motherboard. I assume this dc to dc stage to be quite tolerant. What kind of trouble can I run into when using 20V instead of 19V ? Overheating ?

    Does anyone know where to find various arguments for msi's, such as installing/running as administrator, or restart after installation. I am trying to push out an msi update through group policy, but after testing the msi I found out that it needs to be run as administrator to install, and that for it to begin working fully the computer needs to be rebooted. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  • Wallpaper in Windows 7 locked down by domain group policy?

    So I am in a situation where my wallpaper is locked to a specific image on my work computer via group policy. I can't change it via the Personalization settings since it is grayed out and says it has been set by the system administrator. Anyone know some local GPO and/or registry hackery I can do to override the domain's policy? I could probably get away with logging in under a local account for this, but I want that to be a last resort. Thanks in advance.

    my computer wont load past the windows logo, when it finishing loading the logo i see a blue screen quickly flashes on and off just a glimpse of it but i recognise that sreen anywhere i know its a serious error message screen, after that it just shows a black screen with a movable cursor, i've tried to repair, load last good configuration, but nothing seems to work, i'm running windows 7, its a toshiba laptop, 4 GB SDRAM, 320 GB HDD, Intel Pentium Processor T4200, dual core processor.

    I use the following commands pdf2ps input.pdf - | psnup -pA4 -4 >> output.ps ps2pdf output.ps output.pdf rm output.ps to merge multiple pages (in this case 4) from input file to one sheet in outupt file. How can I modify pipelining so that I won't have to use 2 commands, but just a single one liner? Is there any other commandline tool that would do the same and can work directly on pdf files?

    Does Windows 8 support upgrading from a clean install. For example, buying the upgrade key and entering it on a clear install? Or is it functionally necissary to have the version you are upgrading from installed on the computer. The former was the case with Windows 7, but I recal Windows 2000 needed the an installed copy before an update would proceed. I currently have a linux setup and I have the liceanse for Windows 7, but I don't want to have to downoad two 4 GB isos.

  • How do you install an iTunes Visualizer in Windows 7?

    How do you install any visualizer other than the default visualizer that ships with iTunes 10 in Windows 7. I've tried placing qtz files in my C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunes Plug-ins folder and restarting iTunes, but of course no other visualizers can be selected. Common visualizers that I would like to install include those found here I'm of course aware that some of these are Mac OS only due to library dependencies - I would still like to know if it's possible to install any visualizer other than the default for iTunes in Windows 7

  • Sound has stopped working after upgrading to Windows 8

    I upgraded my (fairly new, about 2 months old) computer to Windows 8 last night, and now the sound has stopped working across the entire machine. I have checked using multiple programs (iTunes, YouTube, World of Warcraft, etc) and multiple output devices (speakers and headset), checked the soundcard drivers (Asus Xonar DG 5.1), checked the volume mixer to ensure I wasn't just having a brainfart and had the sound muted, but nothing's working. Does anyone have any advice on what could be causing this? Thanks Max

    I am using python django to develop a web app and using nginx and gunicorn as servers. I need to define nginx error page (for error codes like 500, 501 etc), but i want to keep the layout same as that in other site pages. For site pages, i use the include functionality of django but in this case, since django won't preprocess the page, i need to create a pure html page. Is there a way to reuse the master page that i created in django for creating this error page?

  • Can you password protect access to a directory (to local and networked PCs) in Windows XP Pro?

    I could just compress the directory as a .zip file w/ a password (which I think would just look like a compressed folder w/ a password) but I'd like something with less overhead (i.e., none of the decompression, etc.) Any ideas? Clarification/update: I'd like to have anyone be able to access it from another computer if they know the password. I.e., I don't want them to have to log in as a different user, etc., but, rather just enter a password.

  • Wifi network stopped being visible (and usable) (Linksys wag320n)

    Basically, my wifi network simply stopped working for no apparent reason. It doesn't appear in the list of the available networks anymore. I can see all my neighbors' networks, but not mine. It's as if it doesn't exist anymore. The internet connection (non-wifi), which goes through the same modem/router, is fine though. I already had a similar problem about one year ago (see here: Wifi network SSID not visible ), just after buying this very modem. I finally got it to work after performing two factory resets and getting rid of the Cisco "Magic" software; but this time it's not working. I use a linksys router-modem (WAG320N) which is directly connected (via network cable) to my desktop computer (Windows 7). I have (mainly) two devices that use the wifi network: my phone (Samsung Galaxy Nexus) and an Asus tablet (TF201, aka Transformer Prime). I also resurrected an old laptop computer (Dell, running Windows XP) to test that, and it doesn't see anything either (apart from the 20 other wifi networks, of course ^^). This wifi network was working just fine and has been for about a year. I haven't touched the modem settings so I have no idea what's causing the problem. I tried: making my phone "forget" about my network, hoping it would see it again after that: no luck. re-entering the network informations (SSID/password) manually on my phone: still no luck (says it's not in range) exporting the modem configuration, resetting the modem (factory reset, via modem admin), restarting it, importing the configuration: nope. factory reset, turning it off for 15 minutes, restarting, re-factory reset, and entering the configuration manually: still nothing. Has anybody experienced something similar before? Have you any suggestion to fix that? Thanks in advance.     Consider that there are two server load balancers working in the tcp proxy mode (e.g., for L7 load balancing). Is it possible to synchronize their states in real time so that they can be a backup for each other? in case that one is down, the other still has all necessary states to uninterruptedly support all existing TCP connections. I understand that this is hard, but I am wondering whether any free/commercial LB already supports this feature. Thank you!

Questions for reference: Windows 7 lowering volume without my consent Windows 7 lowers applications' volume automatically My communications button has already been set to "do nothing". Yet a louder sounding program still insists on lowering down other application's volumes. I fight for the equality of all programs on my PC, help me out please :(
