• How can I save a screenshot directly to a file in Windows?

  In Windows XP, one can press Alt-PrintScreen to copy an image of the active window, or Ctrl-PrintScreen to copy an image of the full desktop. This can then be pasted into applications that accept images: Photoshop, Microsoft Word, etc. I'm wondering: Is there a way to save the screenshot directly to a file? Do I really have to open Photoshop simply to paste an image, then save it?

  What I'd like to use: 2009 XAML primitives How it would be nice to use them: <sapv:ExpressionTextBox xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" ExpressionType="x:String" /> What actually happens: "Type reference cannot find the public type named String" The examples I see don't have updated namespaces. I tried 2009 and 2010, but to no avail. This is in VS 2010 RTM. What am I doing wrong?

• Should all the using directives for namespaces be inside the namespace?

  Microsoft StyleCop provided a warning when the using directives for namespaces are provided outside of the namespace. Is this really required as my view on this is that using dircetives for namespaces is for providing a alias name for namespace and for removing the need for providing the namespace name when a class/interface is used. I dont think it will be used for loading the assembly.

• How do you make the scale animation begin at the middle of the object instead of the top left?

  What I am trying to accomplish: 10 percent increase scale transformation of a rectangle via Silverlight storyboard animation. What I currently doing: While in Expression Blend 3, I created a rectangle, created a storyboard, and created the scale transformation. The preview looked correct because the increase in scale begins in the middle of the object. When I run the project the scale transformation begins at the top left. Is there some piece of code missing? I tend to use the lightweight C# docs. What annoys me about that is that I don't see one page with details of the class, a list of members, a list of methods and properties like I would with a Java API definition. Is this possible?

  Hi All, How can we set permissions for users to only allow them to download SSIS packages from the production server and but deny them permissions to run any package in the Server. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms141053(SQL.90).aspx If i assign users to any of the DB roles db_dtsadmin, db_dtsltduser, and db_dtsoperator they will automatically have permission to run the package. I have Virtual PC installed so I can use Microsoft's IE compatibility images - are there any time-limited images that I can use with Virtual PC so I can check out IIS 7?   I have set up Synergy on Unix systems with no problems, however when I set up a Synergy server on a Windows Server 2003 box using I get an error message that the mouse cursor is locked when trying to move to the client system. I use a Microsoft Natural keyboard in case that matters (seems Scroll Lock might be involved). Does anyone have experience with using Synergy on Windows systems that have reported mouse screen locking in the log when unable to mouse over to a client system?

The MSDN page on the CB (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd381779(v=VS.100).aspx) states that ConcurrentBag(Of T) is a thread-safe bag implementation, optimized for scenarios where the same thread will be both producing and consuming data stored in the bag So what is the advantage?   Hi recently I finished my WM6 Pro.6.1 application and happily learned that to put it into marketplace, it has to pass some tests. -Application Verifier -Microsoft Hopper Test Tool for Windows Mobile 6.0, 6.1, and 6.5 I use VS 2008 and windows mobile 6.1 and I couldnt run none of these tests, Hopeer tool has a FocusApp c++ application which I must build and run before testing, but its a VS 2005 project and I couldnt run it on VS 200..and without it I can't test anything. any ideas how can I build that for VS2008?
