Browser back button creating problem

I have a dynamically generated gridview on page with sorting provided in the code behind also. Now i move from page A to page B using a link, this also works fine. But when i press the browser back button and come back to my page A and again try to sort... page A throws an exception... is there a way to program this back button like we program a button normally.. Launch Reporting Services Reports from .Net Code

What is the best way to launch reporting services reports from .Net code? One method would be to dynamically build a URL and launch a browser. Something like this: http://server/ReportServer/Pages/ReportViewer.aspx?%2fReport+Directory%2fReport%20Name&FirstParameter=1,2,3&SecondParameter=8/30/2009&rs%3aCommand=Render I don't like how it creates a dependency on the specific URL--especially report parameters which are very likely to change. Is there a better way? The reports I want to link to are in several reporting services projects hosted on one (eventually two) servers.

I've an ASP.NET page with a textbox and a option from user of the following choices: Wikipedia, Google, Dictionary.com, Flickr, Google images. The user enters a word(s) in the textbox and selects a choice among the following. Depending on the choice select by the user I wish to return the following. Wikipedia: Return the content and link to the page corresponding to the topic about the word. Google: Return the top 10 results of google search for this word. Flickr: Return a few images atmost 10 images from flickr search GoogleImage: Return a few images from google image search. Dictionary: Return the meaning of the word. How can I do that? Which tool box control can I use for holding the results coming from these sites?

jQuery without domready

Searching for a way to add this code, after the <head> (or some <link stylesheet>) and before <body> is generated (created). $('body').append('<style type="text/css">\ // some // multiline // styles </style>'); There is no <body> without domready(), so its seems better to use head instead or something else. Append also can be replaced. Anybody knows how to do that? Thanks.

Wordpress add a new page to admin section

Hello. I have already developed my plugin for wordpress and I can manage it from admin. I have passed the access to the plugin file usin add_submenu_page. The problem is that the plugin is extending and I want to use another file that is linked from the main file. For example I have second_page.php?id=3. When I try to access this link, i get a "You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page." message. I want to "validate" this page also for using with this script and I don't know how. Ideas ?

Is it required to generate java classes to use spring-ws client

Hi, I want to use spring ws to create the webservice client. I have seen some documentation. In all using jaxb marshalling and unmarshalling. But to start of need to create java classes from xsd. I tried to download the elcipse plugin for this. The location in java.net is not showing any thing to download. Sourceforce net showing the link to download. But that plugin is not working. I have tried wsimport, but it is generating only .classes? My question is if i want to use spring ws, is it required to generate .java classes? If so where can i find the elipse plugin or how to generate the classes? Is there any other way we can do without generating these classes?

Safari anchors on links not working.

My html anchor is as follows. <a name="template-8"/> <h4 class="template" id="template-8">A title</h4> As far as I know the browser should skip to the element matching either name or id attributes. When I type in the url http://my.site.com/templates#template-8 safari jumps down the page as expected. However when linking as below the anchor does nothing. Chrome, Opera, IE7 and Firefox all work. <a href="http://my.site.com/templates#template-8">A link</a> Safari is version 5.0, could this be a safari bug?

Facebook connect integration (registration & login)

Hi, I'm really struggling to make facebook connection working for my system. What I want to do : When the user is not yet registered on facebook : Fetch some user profile fields into my database (ideqally via my registration page already working for non facebook users) Log the user into my website Redirect the user into my homepage What I've done so far : Set up the application in FB Add the Facebook class from the github website and integrate some code to make it working Add additionnal paremeters to login/register facebook link. I'm struggling to redirect the user after authorizing, to my register page (register/?facebook). The "Post-Authorize Redirect URL" field doesn't seem to work properly, I maybe do not fill the right field? My other question is, if my registration page uses a redirection show (index.php redirect to register.php), do the information given by facebook through the $_POST method would be available in the register.php page ? In an ExpandableListView, how can I show one additional line at the end of the child results?

I have created a custom ExpandableListAdapter and everything works properly. What I'd like to be able to do is in each of the groups add a different type of child to the end. I have tried adding 1 to the getChildrenCount() number and then testing isLastChild in the getChildView() method, but that doesn't seem to work. If a group has three children what I have working looks like this: Group NormalChild NormalChild NormalChild But I'd really like something like this: Group NormalChild NormalChild NormalChild AlternateChild The idea being that the AlternateChild could be a link to more info about the group. Any Ideas? EDIT: ListView has addFooterView() which will allow you to add a footer to a whole ListView... wonder how to add them to the ExpandableListView's children, or if it's even possible

Any way to run DLL's at button click C#

Hi Guys, I'm looking for ways to speed my program to the max and one way I thought of was to strip all DLL's being run at startup and run them when they need to be. As an example, I have a DLL containing info required for an update module, but I don't want to have that running in the program if I don't need it till I have an update. (I know I can create a separate program and link it to that but this is just an example.) Is there anyway to attach this on a button click? Sorry if I haven't made my question understandable. Thanks

How to share WinForms and code between 2 projects

Hi I have a working Windows Forms app (split into an EXE and a few DLLs). Now I've been asked to look at creating another app (MyAppLite) that has only a very small subset of the functionality. Think of it as similar to MS Word Viewer vs. MS Word. Everything that I need to build MyAppLite is contained in the main solution - essentially I need to use a couple of the WinForms and whatever bits in the DLLs they call into. What would be the best way to do this? I was thinking of creating another Project in my solution for MyAppLite, then adding the necessary source files as links (using Add Existing Item Add As Link in Solution Explorer). I definitely wouldn't want to maintain 2 copies of the source code. FYI it's a .NET 2.0 VB app, using VS2008. thanks Richard

NS2, Otcl: using a variable of an owned instance within a class

Hello all, I'm using NS2 to create some new classes in C++ and then link them to otcl. The linkage and everything works, but when I try to use the otcl variables in an object, I'm having a trouble. For example, suppose I have a class "Node" with the variable X. In the code I want to set this value and later on use it in some if-statements. Setting the variable is no problem using this code: $node1 set x 4 Now the problem I'm having is when I try to use this variable x anywhere. In C++ we could use a general variable (i.e. y) and say "y=node.x and then use y in some if-statements. I have tried to look for a method to perform the same thing in otcl, but failed. Any help is appriciated. Thanks in Advance.

I am trying to make a WPF Application and using the Visio Controls. I have a dll named AxInterop.Microsoft.Office.Interop.VisOcx and I refer it to instantiate an object of the type AxDrawingControl(). Now as soon as I write this code: AxDrawingControl objDrawControl=new AxDrawingControl(); and check the attributes of this object objDrawControl in the debug mode, I see this message: Exception of type 'System.Windows.Forms.AxHost+InvalidActiveXStateException' was thrown. How can I calculate data for a boxplot (quartiles, median) in a Ralis app on Heroku? ( Heroku uses P

I'm trying to calculate the data needed to generate a box plot which means I need to figure out the 1st and 3rd Quartiles along with the median. I have found some solutions for doing it in Postgresql however they seem to depend on either PL/Python or PL/R which it seems like Heroku does not have either enabled for their postgresql databases. In fact I ran "select lanname from pg_language;" and only got back "internal". I also found some code to do it in pure ruby but that seems somewhat inefficient to me. I'm rather new to Box Plots, Postgresql, and Ruby on Rails so I'm open to suggestions on how I should handle this. There is a possibility to have a lot of data which is why I'm concerned with performance however if the solution ends up being too complex I may just do it in ruby and if my application gets big enough to warrant it get my own Postgresql I can host somewhere else. *note: since I was only able to post one link, cause I'm new, I decided to share a pastie with some relevant information

How to encode cyrillic in mysql?

Hello fellows, what's up? :-) I have one problem and i hope you can help me with it. One friend of mine have a simple solid html website and i implemented little php; CRUD system for articles... problem i came across is placing and getting cyrillic characters from mysql database. What i want to achive is next: In the main navigation there are some separated sections, whose names, ids and item's order i want to place in mysql and than to pull names and to put each name as a link. Names are supposed to be cyrillic characters. The problem comes when i, using php mysql_fetch_assoc function, try to display names which are inserted with cyrillic characters in database row, collation of row is utf8_general_ci, and i end with ????? insted of original characters. If i submit cyrillic characters via submit form to mysql it shows something like this Ð£. How can i solve this, thanks in advance!? :-)

Node.js mongoose: how to use the .in and .sort methods of a query?

Hi there, I'm trying to wrap my head around mongoose, but I'm having a hard time finding any kind of documentation for some of the more advanced query options, specifically the .in and .sort methods. What's the syntax for sorting, for example, a Person by age? db.model("Person").find().sort(???).all(function(people) { }); Then, let's say I want to find a Movie based on a genre, where a Movie can have many genres (in this case, an array of strings). Presumably, I'd use the .in function to accomplish that, but I'm not sure what the syntax would be. Or perhaps I don't have to use the .in method at all...? Either way, I'm lost. db.model("Movie").find().in(???).all(function(movies) { }); Anyone have any ideas? Or even better, a link to some comprehensive documentation? Thanks! Chris

Stream a file to the HTTP response in Pylons

I have a Pylons controller action that needs to return a file to the client. (The file is outside the web root, so I can't just link directly to it.) The simplest way is, of course, this: with open(filepath, 'rb') as f: response.write(f.read()) That works, but it's obviously inefficient for large files. What's the best way to do this? I haven't been able to find any convenient methods in Pylons to stream the contents of the file. Do I really have to write the code to read a chunk at a time myself from scratch?

Installing GDAL for Python

I am trying to install GDAL for python on a Windows XP machine (Python 2.6 currently installed) following the instructions at http://trac.osgeo.org/gdal/wiki/GdalOgrInPython (as is mirrored in a hundred other places). It says I need both the GDAL source (or Windows binary) and the python bindings. The python binding are be downloaded from the python cheeseshop (http://pypi.python.org/pypi/Python_GDAL/1.3.1). I don't see a download link on this page nor can I locate the python binding elsewhere - all instruction I can find seem to point to the same cheeseshop page. This seems like I'm either missing something embarrassingly simple or the bindings file has disappeared. Any thoughts on which it is? Thanks.

This is the standard scenario: User registers on the site User receives an account activation email, clicks link to activate Web site notifies the user that account is activated Now there are at least two pathways: User is taken to the login screen and asked to enter login details User is automatically logged in and taken to a welcome/profile/etc page While there are obvious benefits in (1) as far as the user's experience is concerned, there could be drawbacks as well. Option (2) offers improved security at cost of UX. Which of the scenarios is preferable and why? Any serious flaws in any of them?

Modify url for bookmarking using JavaScript

I'm exploring my options for modifying urls in the browser bar for bookmarking purposes. Ideally, I'd like to add querystring parameters and cannot determine if this is even possible. I don't want the page to refresh and want to add querystring values on link clicks, ajax calls, etc. If I can't add querystring parameters, then I'd like to add hash values (http:://someurl.com#hash-value). How should I go about doing this? Should I use plain JavaScript or a framework (jquery, prototype, etc.) and/or framework plugin.

Ubercart role aissgnment issue

Hi There! I have an issue with expiration date in emails. For example, I have a subscription which expires on 1st FEB 2010 and I am purchasing new subscription (renewing my role). When order is complete Ubercart CA (Condition actions) sends an email about role renewal and new expiration date ([role-expiration-short]). But the message contains wrong expiration date I've noticed that on each order email contains N-1 expiration, where N - current purchase. This is email message: [order-first-name] [order-last-name], Thanks to your order, [order-link], at [store-name] you have renewed the role, [role-name]. It is now set to expire on [role-expiration-short] <- ISSUE IS HERE. Thanks again, [store-name] [site-slogan] Any ideas? Thanks!
