  With jquery it's very easy to insert some element inside another element using the selector technology, I am wondering if there is any python library that can do things similar with jquery, the reason is I want server side python program to produce the static pages, which needs to parse the html and insert something into it. Or other alternative, not in python language at all?   I am using Mac OS X 10.6 and installed MAMP and Tomcat. My Tomcat is installed in /Users/(userID)/Tomcat I can start Tomcat server in Terminal without a problem But it cannot be started automatically when Mac OS X is boot up. I put a file org.apache.tomcat.plist in /Library/LaunchDaemons Disabled Label org.apache.tomcat ProgramArguments /Users/henryfok/Tomcat/bin/startup.sh RunAtLoad Any hint ?

Is there a library out there that is relatively mature and documented?   I doubt if this is encryption but I can't find a better phrase. I need to pass a long query string like this: http://test.com/test.php?key=[some_very_loooooooooooooooooooooooong_query_string] The query string contains NO sensitive information so I'm not really concerned about security in this case. It's just...well, too long and ugly. Is there a library function that can let me encode/encrypt/compress the query string into something similar to the result of a md5() (similar as in, always a 32 character string), but decode/decrypt/decompress-able?

• Any way to make DataContractJsonSerializer serialize Dictionaries properly?

  The DataContractJsonSerializer is not able to serialize Dictionaries properly. Whereas JavaScriptSerializer serializes Dictionaries as {"abc":"xyz","def":42} for example, the DataContractJsonSerializer gives [{"Key":"abc","Value":"xyz"},{"Key":"def","Value":42}] instead. This is really problematic and I want to know how can I serialize Dictionary objects correctly in my WCF service.
