  • Formatted HTML as output from method invocation from JMX HTTP page

    - by Dutch
Hi, Is there a way to return HTML from a method which gets called from the JMX HTTP page. I have a huge set of data and want to display the data with some formatting. The following code does not work: @ManagedOperation(description = "return html") @ManagedOperationParameters({@ManagedOperationParameter(name = "someVal", description = "text")}) public List returnAsHtml(String someVal) { return ""+someValblah"; } Looks like JMX escapes the returned script before throwing it to the browser.

  • jQuery/Javascript to replace broken images

    - by Dan Lord
I have a web page that includes a bunch of images. Sometimes the image isn't available so a broken image is displayed in the clients browser. How do I use jQuery to get the set of images, filter it to broken images then replace the src? --I thought it would be easier to do this with Jquery, but It turned out much easier to just use a pure javascript solution. i.e the one provided by Prestaul

  • Equivalent of http://www.cplusplus.com/ for C# .net

    - by David Relihan
Hi Folks I've read through a lot of the "Learn C# .Net" questions just to see if this question was answered already (directly or indirectly). I program mostly in C++ so I find the website http://www.cplusplus.com/ invaluable and there's rarely a day when it is not open in my browser! However, I'm just wondering is there an C# .Net equivalent that people find themselves constantly referencing? The best I'm aware of is: http://stackoverflow.com http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/vcsharp/aa336809.aspx http://www.java2s.com/Tutorial/CSharp/CatalogCSharp.htm Thanks,

  • HTML table with fixed headers?

    - by Cheekysoft
Does anyone know a cross-browser CSS/Javascript technique to display a long html table such that the column headers stay fixed on-screen and do not scroll with the table body. Think of the "freeze panes" effect in excel. I want to be able to scroll through the contents of the table, but to always be able to see the column headers at the top.

  • Making sure a web page is not cached, across all browsers.

    - by Edward Wilde
Our investigations have shown us that not all browsers respect the http cache directives in a uniform manner. For security reasons we do not want certain pages in our application to cached, ever, by the web browser. This must work for at least the following browsers: Internet Explorer versions 6-8 FireFox versions 1.5 - 3.0 Safari version 3 Opera 9 Our requirement came from a security test. After logging out from our website you could press the back button and view cached pages.

  • "is not abstact and does not override abstract method."

    - by Chris Bolton
So I'm pretty new to android development and have been trying to piece together some code bits. Here's what I have so far: package com.teslaprime.prirt; import android.app.Activity; import android.os.Bundle; import android.view.View; import android.widget.ArrayAdapter; import android.widget.Button; import android.widget.EditText; import android.widget.ListView; import android.widget.AdapterView.OnItemClickListener; import java.util.ArrayList; import java.util.List; public class TaskList extends Activity { List<Task> model = new ArrayList<Task>(); ArrayAdapter<Task> adapter = null; @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.main); Button add = (Button) findViewById(R.id.add); add.setOnClickListener(onAdd); ListView list = (ListView) findViewById(R.id.tasks); adapter = new ArrayAdapter<Task>(this,android.R.layout.simple_list_item_1,model); list.setAdapter(adapter); list.setOnItemClickListener(new OnItemClickListener() { public void onItemClick(View v, int position, long id) { adapter.remove(position); } });} private View.OnClickListener onAdd = new View.OnClickListener() { public void onClick(View v) { Task task = new Task(); EditText name = (EditText) findViewById(R.id.taskEntry); task.name = name.getText().toString(); adapter.add(task); } }; } and here are the errors I'm getting: compile: [javac] /opt/android-sdk/tools/ant/main_rules.xml:384: warning: 'includeantruntime' was not set, defaulting to build.sysclasspath=last; set to false for repeatable builds [javac] Compiling 2 source files to /home/chris-kun/code/priRT/bin/classes [javac] /home/chris-kun/code/priRT/src/com/teslaprime/prirt/TaskList.java:30: <anonymous com.teslaprime.prirt.TaskList$1> is not abstract and does not override abstract method onItemClick(android.widget.AdapterView<?>,android.view.View,int,long) in android.widget.AdapterView.OnItemClickListener [javac] list.setOnItemClickListener(new OnItemClickListener() { [javac] ^ [javac] /home/chris-kun/code/priRT/src/com/teslaprime/prirt/TaskList.java:32: remove(com.teslaprime.prirt.Task) in android.widget.ArrayAdapter<com.teslaprime.prirt.Task> cannot be applied to (int) [javac] adapter.remove(position); [javac] ^ [javac] 2 errors BUILD FAILED /opt/android-sdk/tools/ant/main_rules.xml:384: Compile failed; see the compiler error output for details. • changing ASP.NET tag formatting

    - by Steven
When I drag a Label control to my document, I get the following code : <asp:Label ID="Label1" runat="server" text="Label"></asp:Label> I prefer my code to look like the following instead : <asp:Label ID="Label1" runat="server" Text="Label" /> How can I get .NET to do this by default? I looked in Tools - Options - Text Editor, where you'd expect to find it, but I couldn't find anything relevant there.

  • How do I access Glassfish V3 Administration Console Website from a remote host

    - by Tom
I have installed Glassfish v3 on a standalone server running ubuntu-server 9.10. I can open the Admin website if I use a browser running on the server by browsing to: http:// localhost:4848/ I would like to access it from a remote machine by browsing to something like http:// mydomain.com:4848/ The firewall is definitely allowing traffic through on that port (4848) and I can access the application server by browsing to: http:// mydomain.com:8080/ How can I allow remote access to the administration website?

  • jQuery mousemove performance

    - by Colby77
Hi, When I bind a mousemove event to an element it is working smoothly with every browser except Internet Explorer. With IE the CPU usage is way too much and some associated things (eg. tooltip) are ugly. Is there any way I could rid of the performance problem? (yeah I know, don't use IE :))

  • Must web apps support back button?

    - by Patrick Peters
I did a system test on a new ASP.NET app. I encountered several exceptions when using the BACK button in my browser (IE 7). I stated in a review-record that the web-app must support the use of a BACK button (or at least handle it gracefully with for example session-time out warnings). The teamlead did not agree with me as he stated that a web-app should not support working with the back-button by default. Do you agree?

  • Usage of Maven (and open source in general) in high governance and risk-averse large organizations (

    - by bart
Does anyone have any good stories of these kinds of organizations being open to using open source (such as tools like Maven etc). Many staff I've encountered have little or no exposure to open source/systems and open source is treated with great suspicion. Some reasons given for this are lack of support and robustness, which is ironic given the number of end-of-life unsupported vendor products that are in production. Bonus points for any success stories where you've seen open source go into orgs like this and have a real benefit!

  • Windows 7 Status Menu style Window

    - by Mason Blier
Hey all, I'm working on a project and I'm wondering how to get a type of window common in Windows's wireless controls, as shown in the screen shot below: http://cybernetnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/windows-7-wireless.jpg There's no close or maximize buttons, but the border is still present. My tools include Expression Blend 3 and Visual Studio 08. I was also wondering what the font used on these are, as it doesn't seem to be the normal Tahoma found in Office 7. Thanks, Mason
