  • CKEditor configuration, prefer img tag atrributes over inline style

The version of CKEditor is 3.2 and I have access to config files.   • IE7 doesn't render part of page until the window resizes or switch between tabs

    I have a problem with IE7. I have a fixed layout for keeping the header and a sidepanel fixed on a page leaving only the "main content" area switch can happily scroll it's content. This layout works perfectly fine for IE6 and IE8, but sometimes one page may start "hiding" the content that should be showing in the "main content" area. The page finishes loading just fine. For a split second IE7 will render the main content just fine and then it will immediately hide it from view.. somewhere.. It would also seem that it only experiences this problem when there is enough content to force the "main content" area to scroll. By resizing the window or switching to another open tab and back again will cause IE7 to show the page as it was intended. Note the same problem does occur with IE8 in compatibility mode, but the page is rendered correctly in IE8 mode. If need be I can attach the basic CSS styling I use, but I first want to see if this is a known issue with IE7. Does IE7 have issues with positioned layout and overflow scrolling that is sometimes likes to forgot to finish rendering the page correctly until some window redraw event forces to finish rendering? Please remember, this exact same layout is used across multiple pages in the site as it is set up in a master page. It is just (in this case) one page that is experiencing this problem. Other pages with the exact same layout do render correctly. Even if the main content is full enough to also scroll. UPDATE: A related question which doesn't have an answer at this point. LATE UPDATE: Adding example masterpage and css Please note this same layout is the same for all the pages in the application. My problem with IE7 only occurs on one such page. All other pages have happily render correctly in IE7. Just one page, using the exact same layout, has issues where it sometimes hides the content in the "work-space" div.   • Variable declarations following if statements

    An issue came up on another forum and I knew how to fix it, but it revealed a feature of the compiler peculiar to me. The person was getting the error "Embedded statement cannot be a declaration or labeled statement" because they had a declaration of a variable following an if statement with no brackets. That was not their intent, but they had commented out the line of code immediately following the if statement, which made the variable declaration the de facto line of code to execute. Anyway, that's the background, which brings me to this. The following code is illegal if (true) int i = 7; However, if you wrap that in brackets, it's all legal. if (true) { int i - 7; } Neither piece of code is useful. Yet the second one is OK. What specifically is the explanation for this behavior? I have a hypothesis, but I'd rather ask the brilliant people on stackoverflow.

  • evaluating buffer in emacs python-mode on remote host

    Hello, I'm using emacs23 with tramp to modify python scripts on a remote host. I found that when I start the python shell within emacs it starts up python on the remote host. My problem is that when I then try to call python-send-buffer via C-c C-c it comes up with the error Traceback (most recent call last): File "", line 1, in ? ImportError: No module named emacs Traceback (most recent call last): File "", line 1, in ? NameError: name 'emacs' is not defined Now, I must admit that I don't really know what's going on here. Is there a way for me to configure emacs so that I can evaluate the buffer on the remote host? Many thanks.

    Hi, I am working in Train Traffic Controller software project. My responsibility in this project is to develop the visual railroad GUI. We are implementing the project with Qt. By now I am using QGraphicsLinearLayout to hold my items. I am using the layout because I do not want to calculate coordinates of each item. So far I wrote item classes to add the layout. For instance SwitchItem class symbolizes railroad switch in real world. Each item class is responsible for its own painting and events. So far so good. Now I need a composite item that can contain two or more item. This class is going to be responsible for painting the items contained in it. I need this class because I have to put two or more items inside same layout cell. If I don' t put them in same cell I can' t use layout. See the image below. Each line has a structure like the one below: abc\def\ghi\***.cs(40): jkl=******.*****.******, "proc_pqrst", parms); Where abc\def\ghi\***.cs is file path of the file ***.cs. The stored procedure names begin with proc_. I have to extract the ***.cs and the corresponding stored procedure name begining with proc_ and write them to a .xls file. Can some body help me in writing the parsing program to do this? Also can I get a detailed outline on where should I write the code for c# and where should I compile it? These value lines are all fixed width format and have the same line length. The other junk lines and column names can have any line width. When I try the flat file fixed width option or the ragged right option the preview looks all wrong. Any ideas what the easiest way to get this into SSIS is?

    Hello, I have two questions regarding Silverlight's SoundPlay action and properties. My scenario is like: I have two story board: The first story board has an image and a sound file; when the silverlight application gets loaded, the sound starts to play automatically, but if someone clicks the image, the sound file will stop and the second storyboard will start with a new sound file. 1) My first question is how to stop the first sound file of first story board when the second story board starts with the second sound file. 2) My second question is how to play a sound file continuously; for example, in Silverlight we can play a story board continuously with RepeatBehavior="Forever"; but I cannot find a way to play my 10 second sound file forever or continuously. Note: I have attached a small XAML file to show what I am talking about; I am also stating that if instead of an image file, if there were a button, then I can stop the first music file after I click the button and start my second story board with a new sound file, but I would like to use image file instead of a button.   • Why Won't My ASP.NET Hyperlink Work in IE?

    I'm making a very simple ad button system using ASP.NET 2.0 The advertisment is a 150x150px square that is displayed on "the r house." (Scroll down a little and you'll see the bright green "Angry Octopus" on the right side of the screen.) Now, I am not the administrator of "the r house." Instead, I am the administrator of angryoctopus.net Therefore, I don't have the ability to change the ad display code on a whim. So I gave "the r house" this snippet of code to display our ad nicely, while still allowing me to customize the back-end code on my end: <iframe src="http://www.angryoctopus.net/Content/Ad/150x150.aspx" frameborder="0" width="150" height="150" scrolling="no" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;"></iframe> You'll find this snippet in the page source to "the r house." On my side, the code looks like this: <asp:HyperLink runat="server" NavigateUrl="http://www.angryoctopus.net/" Target="_top"> <asp:Panel ID="pnlMain" runat="server" BackColor="#D1E231" style="padding: 0; margin: 0" Width="150" Height="150"> <asp:Image runat="server" ImageUrl="http://www.angryoctopus.net/Content/Ad/150x150.png" BorderStyle="None" style="padding: 0; margin: 0" /> </asp:Panel> </asp:HyperLink> ... and there's some insignificant back-end C# code for hit-counting. But when you view "the r house" in IE(8) the hyperlink doesn't do anything, and the cursor doesn't indicate that the hyperlink is even there. Although you can see the target URL in the status bar. I've considered the fact that "the r house" uses XHTML 1.0 Strict could be causing problems, but that would probably effect Firefox and Chrome right? (My aspx pages use XHTML 1.0 Transitional) My only other theory is that some random CSS class could be applying a weird attribute to my iframe, but again I would expect that would effect Firefox and Chrome. Is this a security issue with IE? Does anyone know what part of the r house's website could be blocking the hyperlink in IE? And how can I get around this without having to hard code anything on the r house's website? Is there an alternative to iframe that would do the same job without requiring complicated scripting?

    First, I tried to migrate my databases with SQL Server Migration Assistant for MySql and it worked fine. But now, I have some problems with my code.     Hello. I believe this may be a simple question, but I've looked everywhere and tried some workarounds, but I still haven't solved the problem. I also get the lines: First-chance exception at 0x051e3f3d in SillyComDriver.exe: 0xC0000096: Privileged instruction. First-chance exception at 0x100ab9e6 in SillyComDriver.exe: 0xC000001D: Illegal Instruction. Notice these are first-chance exceptions. The program runs as expected I can access the third party methods/properties. Still, I'm left wondering why they are occurring. Perhaps my way of instantiating the ActiveX control (for which I want use of it's methods/properties and not it's GUI stuff) is incorrect? Besides the code I'm showing, I also put the line import "spsax.dll" no_namespace in the stdafx.h That's all the code necessary for my simple demo project. I noticed this problem because I had (inadvertently) set the "break on exceptions" options in my "real" project and it was breaking on this line. Once I removed it, it also works. If you're read this far thank you, and perhaps I can ask one other minor question. In my demo project, if I right click on SerialPortSniffer and "go to definition", it takes me to the file C:....\AppData\Local\Temp\spsax.tlh. Can someone explain that? Finally, in my "real" project, right clicking on SerialPortSniffer and going to difinition leads to "The symbol 'SerialPortSniffer' is not defined". It doesn't seem to affect the program though. Is there some setting I've messed up? By the way, all my code is written w/ VS2008. Thanks, Dave

  • Fast word count function in Vim

    I am trying to display a live word count in the vim statusline. I do this by setting my status line in my .vimrc and inserting a function into it. The idea of this function is to return the number of words in the current buffer. This number is then displayed on the status line. This should work nicely as the statusline is updated at just about every possible opportunity so the count will always remain 'live'. The problem is that the function I have currently defined is slow and so vim is obviously sluggish when it is used for all but the smallest files; due to this function being executed so frequently. In summary, does anyone have a clever trick for producing a function that is blazingly fast at calculating the number of words in the current buffer and returning the result?

    I have a layout xml file named my_layout.xml, in which the root view's layout_width and layout_height has been specified as 200px. <com.jlee.demo.MyLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:orientation="horizontal" android:layout_width="200px" android:layout_height="200px"> If I used this xml to be included in another xml, and specify the layout_width and layout_height as 100px. <include layout="@layout/my_layout" android:layout_width="100px" android:layout_height="100px"/> What would be the real width/height of my_layout?

  • Troubles with list "dropdowns" and which list item gets the dropdown

    I'm working on a project for an MMO "guild" that gives members of the guild randomly generated tasks for the game. They can "block" three tasks from being assigned. The lists will look something like this: <ul> <li class="blocked">Task that is blocked</li> <li class="blocked-open">Click to block a task</li> <li class="blocked-open">Click to block a task</li> </ul> The blocked-open class means they haven't chosen a task to block yet. The blocked task means they've already blocked a task. When they click the list item, I want this to appear: <ul class="tasks-dropdown no-display"> <li><h1>Click a Task to Block</h1></li> <ul class="task-dropdown-inner"> <?php //output all tasks foreach($tasks as $task) { echo '<li class="blocked-option"><span id="'.$task.'">'.$task.'</span></li>'; } ?> <br class="clear" /> </ul> </ul> I don't quite know how, when the user clicks the .blocked-open line-item, to show that dropdown under only the one they clicked. My jQuery looked like this before I became confused. $("li.blocked-open").click(function() { $("ul.no-display").slideToggle("900"); }); $(".blocked-option span").click(function() { var task = $(this).attr('id'); alert("You have blocked: " + task); location.reload(true); }); I tested it by putting the dropdown under a line item in the code, and it worked fine, but when I have more than one dropdown in the code, clicking on one line item toggles all the dropdowns. I'm not sure what to do. :-p.
