• Zend Framework - Not Connecting to IMAP mail server - instead dumps empty php file

  Hi guys I'm trying to connect to an imap mail server using zend frameworks Zend_Mail_Storage_Imap function. Its working with some accounts but with most accounts it just dies out. I'm connecting using: $mail = new Zend_Mail_Storage_Imap(array('host' =>$current_dept->incoming_server, 'ssl' =>$current_dept->ssl, 'port'=>$current_dept->incoming_port, 'folder'=>$mbox_name, 'user' =>$current_dept->email, 'password' =>$current_dept->email_psd)); WIth some email accounts teh code doesn't go past this statement - and instead I'm prompted to 'download' the php file being run. Whats happening here - the mail server details are correct.

  Hi guys, i'm relatively new to php and mysql and would like to know how to select two value in mysql with php. What i have is $query = sprintf("SELECT COUNT(id) FROM table WHERE UPPER(username) = UPPER('%s') AND password='%s'"... in this case, i'm only selecting and count if the id exist and i use list($count) = mysql_fetch_row($result); if($count == 1) and by using cookies, i would like to retrieve two value from the database, namely user (the user's name) and power (which has value of 1,2 or 3, indicating the menu they would be able to see) basically it is to differentiate if you're admin or normal user, but i wonder if i could do SELECT COUNT(id) AND power FROM table WHERE ... is this possible? or is there any other way? Please guide me, thanks.

Not just those that are not expired yet. Can anyone help me? Thanks Oh, changing < to > returns no pastes, not even the non-expired ones :(

  I have a ServiceInstall component in a WiX installer where I have a requirement to either start auto or demand depending on parameters passed into the MSI. Anyone know of a more elegant solution? One where I don;t have to maintain 2 COmponents whjich do exactly the same thing except the Attribute for Start?

  I'm new to Devise and have it working fine by using an email address as the authentication key. However, I have a use case which requires a username instead and I can't seem to get it working. I've added a string column, "username" to the users table, changed the fields from :email to :username in the sign-in form, and have changed the authentication key in devise.rb to :username yet when I go to sign in I'm met with this prompt: "Please enter an email address".   I am trying to implement REST APIs, so in my RoR3 application I have XML responses. Before to pass to a consumer the XML, I wuold like to check if there are errors and, if so, send back a response with error messages. I read "Active Record Validations and Callbacks" guides on the RoR website, but it seems not work in my case. I extract from the database a resource doing @response = User.find_by_id(1) and I wuold like, if possible, to add error to it. Seeing some examples I have seen how to report errors in an XML file format.xml { render :xml => @response.errors } but how I can add append new errors to the @response? • App Engine remote_api with OpenID

  Hi, I've recently tried to switch my app engine app to using openID, but I'm having an issue authenticating with remote_api. The old authentication mechanism for remote_api doesn't seem to work (which makes sense) - I'm getting a 'urllib2.HTTPError: HTTP Error 302: Found', which I assume is appengine redirecting me to the openid login page I've set up. I guess I'm missing something fairly obvious. Currently my remote_api script has the following in it - remote_api_stub.ConfigureRemoteDatastore(app_id=app_id, path='/remote_api', auth_func=auth_func, servername=host, secure=secure) where auth_func is def auth_func(): return raw_input('Username:'), getpass.getpass('Password:') Any ideas what I need to supply to remote_api?   I am trying to get SVN to copy files to my htdocs folder on commit. Here is what I have so far in my post-commit.bat: "C:\subversion\bin\svn.exe" update "C:\apache\apache2.2\htdocs" When I look at the log files created by the hook I get the following line: Skipped 'C:\Apache\Apache2.2\htdocs' Does anyone know why this is happening? No matter what directory I choose as a destination, I get the same error. I am running SVN 1.6.4, Tortoise 1.6.8, Apache 2.2, WinXP SP3 I am not using username and password because there is no security set up on the SVN repository. It's just me developing. Thanks

• What are the best security measures to take for making certain directories private?

  I have a directory on my server that I do not want Search Engines to crawl and I already set this rule in robots.txt I do want people that have logged in to be able to have access to this directory without having to enter a password or anything. I am thinking that a cookie is the best thing to put on users computers after they login, and if they have a cookie, they can access the directory. Is this possible, or is there a better way? I want people without this cookie to not have access to this directory - access for members only Any suggestions on the best design for this?

This narrow only succeeds if the login information of the first step was correct. Question How does the login information propagate from the LoginContext to the narrow()? I don't see any connection between these two places. And further, how could I do two or more different logins inside of one client?

I often see this code; does it make sense? md5(uniqid(rand(), true)); According to a comment uniqid($prefix, $moreEntopy = true) yields first 8 hex chars = Unixtime, last 5 hex chars = microseconds. I don't know how the $prefix-parameter is handled.. So if you don't set the $moreEntopy flag to true, it gives a predictable outcome. QUESTION: But if we use uniqid with $moreEntopy, what does hashing it with md5 buy us? Is it better than: md5(mt_rand())

  I am looking for a PAM module that can use OpenID to do the authentication. My idea is that I want to logon my Linux box using my gmail account and password. I found there is a open source project in Google Code which seems to be doing the things I want but I don't see any code available for download. I saw there are so many examples or implementations but they are all about web apps. Is there any non-web based OpenID applications in the world? Is it technically possible to make a non-web based OpenID application? I naively think that it should be possible. I can emulate whatever packets the browser send out to the OpenID provider and get back the result. As long as my Linux box is connected to the Internet, I should be able to use my OpenID to login. Appreciate any comments, suggestions or pointers on how to make an OpenID PAM module. Thanks!
