  I have a closed source Java application for which vendor has provided APIs for customization. As I have no other documents, i rely completely on the API's javadoc. I want to trace what methods are actually called in different classes for a particular use case. Is there any way to do that with eclipse?

  Is ResultSet Thread safe? My question arises because in this i have used a different statement for each query i have delsared a ResultSet as an local variable but it gives me a error of Operation not allowed after ResultSet is closed. But my statements are working as i'm using the statements in insert and delete query.I have commented the ResultSet part and have not got the error !!   I would like to know if there is a way to simply turn of the WPF design surface in Visual Studio 2008. I would like to have the xaml editor, but not the design surface as it slows down the IDE, when I try to open a XAML file. For my workflow having only the source files for xaml would be a better fit as I am doing all visuals in Blend.

  I have a grails app (v 1.1.2) the logging is working fine from the groovy classes, but I can't get it to work from within a java source... I have a class in package com.mforms.devices., it imports apache log4j, defines the logger as follows private final org.apache.log4j.Logger loggy = Logger.getLogger(this.getClass()); then refer to it later by doing loggy.error("...") my Config.groovy has the following log4j = { error 'com.mforms' root { error 'stdout', 'file' additivity = true } } What am I doing wrong?!?!

  In the Android open-source qemu code I ran across this line of code: machine->max_cpus = machine->max_cpus ?: 1; /* Default to UP */ It this just a confusing way of saying: if (machine->max_cpus) { ; //do nothing } else { machine->max_cpus = 1; } If so, wouldn't it be clearer as: if (machine->max_cpus == 0) machine->max_cpus = 1; Interestingly, this compiles and works fine with gcc, but doesn't compile on http://www.comeaucomputing.com/tryitout/ .

  I was reading that memcpy takes the number of bytes from a source location and adds it to a destination location. Does this mean that memcpy could possibly change datatype entirely ?? memcpy(DoubleOne, CharTwo, strlen(CharTwo)); considering that both values are empty still.

  My debugger does not work when I start project in debug mode. But when I set checkbox Allow the source code to different from the original version. Debugger works. But solution not wokrs properly. For example for files with build action "Content" and Copy to outputDirectory to "Copy if newer" does not copy to bin/Debug Is anybody know the solution?

  For time profiler for XYZ, I can just run 'time XYZ', or if I have the source code in C/C++, I even can use gprof to get profiled results. Is there any similar tool for memory usage? Is there any tool I can use something like 'memory XYZ', to get info such as min/max/median memory usage? What tool do you use for memory profile with C++/Objective C/C#/Java?
