• AJAX and iFrame: Calling AJAX from inside the iFrame to Update an Outside DIV

  Hi there, I have a page where a user can upload a file along with some other input. Because I wanted this to be AJAX-like, I resorted to using an iFrame to accomplish this. After the file is uploaded and an iFrame is loaded with a response page, I need to update a DIV outside of the iFrame with an AJAX call. The reason for separate updates, is that the result of the outside DIV depends on the input that the user provided with the file input. Can this be done? Am I approaching this the wrong way? • Can't create blob container on Azure Blob Storage

  The following code throws an error on the "CreateIfNotExist" method call. I am attempting to connect to my Azure Blob storage and create a new container called "images" var storageAccount = new CloudStorageAccount( new StorageCredentialsAccountAndKey("my_account_name", "... my shared key ..."), "https://blob.core.windows.net/", "https://queue.core.windows.net/", "https://table.core.windows.net/" ); var blobClient = storageAccount.CreateCloudBlobClient(); var blobContainer = blobClient.GetContainerReference("images"); blobContainer.CreateIfNotExist(); The error is: [StorageClientException: The requested URI does not represent any resource on the server.] The "images" container does not exist but I was expecting it to be created instead of an error to be thrown. What am I doing wrong? I have tried HTTP instead of HTTPS but the result is the same error.

• Resizing screenshots/screen captures for inclusion in Beamer

  Sorry, this may or may not be a programming question directly, but I am trying to resize screenshots with Imagemagick and Gimp to include in a Beamer presentation, but it comes out even blurrier than the resizing done by LaTeX. For instance, in Beamer I might have a command to rescale the image \includegraphics[width=.5\textwidth]{fig.png}. Using something like \begin{frame} \message{width = \the\textwidth} \message{height = \the\textheight} \end{frame} I have gotten the \textwidth and \textheight parameters in points (345.69548, 261.92444). So I have a script (in Python) that sends a system call to Imagemagick: 'convert %s -resize %.6f@ resized_%s' % (f,a,f) where a is calculated as \textwidth*\textheight*0.5**2. When I then go back into my Beamer presentation and include the resized figure, \includegraphics{resized_fig.png}, the size looks approximately correct but it's super-blurry. I also tried resizing in Gimp (using the GUI) but no luck either... help? Thanks...

  I am trying to implement FTP over SSL to upload encrypted files. I've created a SSL certificate and send it to the vendor. But I couldn't make a FTPS connection to the server. When connecting via FTPS, I'm authenticating using my private key file. I have tried .NET FTPWebRequest, SmartFTp,CuteFTP Pro. I am getting the following error:- A call to SSPI failed. See inner exception.   Does the jQuery $.ajaxSetup method not respect the data field in the options hash when $.post or $.get is called? For example, I might have this code: $.ajaxSetup({ data: { persist: true } }); Then, to send a POST request, I would call this: $.post("/create/something", { name: "foo" }); I was expecting the actual POST data to look like this: { persist: true, name: "foo" } but the only data sent by $.post is { name: "foo" }. Is there any way to get the expected behavior? I'm using jQuery 1.4.1.

  Hi all, I would like to implement a application which backs up all the internal datas like sms, mms, videos, audios, documents, call history stored in iPhone. But this seems to be not possible with api docs that the apple has released so far ... I have gone through the pdf of ENterprise distribution program and some of the links related to Enterprise Distribution Program, specifies about the Remote wipe and accessing of internal datas like Calendar, sms, mms ect .... But they didnt mention how to do it programmatically. Does Apple provide any special priviledges like extra api support to access the internal data in their Enterprise Distribution Program?. Is there any difference between Enterprise Distribution Program and Standard Distribution Program in the development point of view? And since in-house distribution does not require Apple approval, shall we use some other method which are not officially mentioned in apple docs, to access the internal stored data ..   Hi Experts out there, I'm stuck at dll imports with the c++ dll and i really need help to get over this. Here is the function in the c++ dll that i want to call from my VB.net code. bool LoadNewTestPlan(const char* szPlanFileName=" "); I've tried many ways in my VB.net but always getting the error : "Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt." I have tried passing in byte(), Marshalling with LPStr, SafeArray and nothing works. • Rails migration to add boolean column to Postgres on Heroku

  I'm trying to execute a simple Rails migration to add a boolean column to an existing table. Here's the add_column call: add_column :users, :soliciting, :boolean, :null => false, :default => false However, after the migration runs (successfully, with no errors), I don't see the new column. If I go into the console and list the columns on the User table, for example, with this command: >> User.columns.each { |c| puts "#{c.name} : #{c.type}" } All the other columns show up, but not the one I just added with the migration. What's even more strange is that looking up a random user object yields the Postgres version of booleans (Ruby strings) >> User.find(1).soliciting => "t" However, the existing boolean columns all show up with standard Ruby boolean values of true and false. What's going on here? Is the migration actually complete? Why doesn't the column show up, yet is accessible in the model objects?

OK, so the view renders fine, but when I tap it, it doesn't call the method that I set as the UIBarButtonItem's action property. Oh, and I have verified that my -deselectAll method works fine. • Only run selenium test if previous selenium test fails

  I have several 'it' blocks in my selenium test file (using Ruby and rspec) that test various portions of my web application. Each 'it' block stops executing and goes to the next 'it' block if any of the conditions or code fails. Is there a way to run an 'it' block only if the previous fails or call a function to react to the failed test? Is there a better way to accomplish what I am wanting to do that doesn't involve an 'it' block?   I have a tricky problem where I am binding a ContextMenu to a set of ICommand-derived objects, and setting the Command and CommandParameter properties on each MenuItem via a style: <ContextMenu ItemsSource="{Binding Source={x:Static OrangeNote:Note.MultiCommands}}"> <ContextMenu.Resources> <Style TargetType="MenuItem"> <Setter Property="Header" Value="{Binding Path=Title}" /> <Setter Property="Command" Value="{Binding}" /> <Setter Property="CommandParameter" Value="{Binding Source={x:Static OrangeNote:App.Screen}, Path=SelectedNotes}" /> ... However, while ICommand.Execute( object ) gets passed the set of selected notes as it should, ICommand.CanExecute( object ) (which is called when the menu is created) is getting passed null. I've checked and the selected notes collection is properly instantiated before the call is made (in fact it's assigned a value in its declaration, so it is never null). I can't figure out why CanEvaluate is getting passed null.

• Programmatically change the default code page in Windows XP? (from Delphi)

  Could anyone advise how to programmatically change the default Windows XP code page (I'm doing this from Delphi)? (This would be the equivalent of going into Control Panel - Regional Settings - Language for non-Unicode applications). In this case, I want to switch to Chinese (PRC) and so am writing to the following registry strings: HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Nls\CodePage\ ACP=936 MACCP=10008 OEMCP=936 (Which is exactly what changing the non-Unicode codepage drop down in Control Panel does). There must be another setting which I need to change - and I'd prefer to use a Win API call (if available) rather than writing to the registry myself. I've also tried setting HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Nls\Language\ Default=0804 (Chinese PRC) to no avail. I don't want to change the 'locale' per se as this will also change time / date settings, separators, etc. etc. This is because I'm using an ANSI application that needs to render Chinese characters, and I'm writing a tool to automatically switch the system show the characters (while leaving other aspects of the UI intact). I have: an UIViewController A UIView B: I added subview which is a UIView to the UIViewController A an UIViewController C What I did is: in UIViewController A's viewDidLoad's method, I call this: UIView *subviewB = [[Subview alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, 0, 1024, 768)]; [subviewB subviewBMethod]; // [self.view addSubview:rsubviewB]; SubviewBMethod code is to create an view, inside this view have a button. Once this button is clicked, it will change to UIViewController C. I tried this: [self presentModalViewController:self.UIViewControllerC animated:YES]; And I got this error message: warning: incompatible Objective-C types 'struct UIViewControllerC *', expected 'struct UIViewController *' when passing argument 1 of 'presentModalViewController:animated:' from distinct Objective-C type When I run the app, it terminates immediately when I click the button, I opened the console bug, there is no any error message.   I am writing an application which uses the Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel assembly to export/import data from Excel spreadsheets. Everything was going fine (except for 1 based indexing and all those optional parameters!), until I tried to use conditional formatting. When I call Range.FormatConditions.Add I get a MissingMethodException telling me that no such method exists. This happens in both Vista and XP.   I'm getting an error whilst trying to install psycopg2 on ubuntu 9.10 64 bit. I've tried by using easy_install too. No error during the installation. It's quite weird as my python (2.6.2) has been compiled with UCS4 and so the installation should just work without problems.   Hello all, I would like to scan text of textfiles in Matlab with the textscan function. Before I can open the textfile with fid = fopen('C:\path'), I need to unzip the files first. The files have the extension: *.gz There are thousands of files which I need to analyze and high performance is important. I have two ideas: (1) Use an external program an call it from the command line in Matlab (2) Use a Matlab 'zip'toolbox. I have heard of gunzip, but don't know about its performance. Does anyone knows a way to unzip these files as quick as possible from within Matlab? Thanks!

• Howto: Configure Spring-WS to publish WSDL files with a '?WSDL' style URL?

  I am trying to configure web service proxying using Mule ESB. I am attempting to do this using Mule's WSProxyService, but after stepping through the corresponding code (with the debugger), it is clear that this class replaces endpoint addresses. The problem is Spring-WS WSDL addresses are of the style http://xxxx/xxxx.wsdl, but WSProxyService expects http://xxxx/xxxx?wsdl or http://xxxx/xxxx&wsdl. It replaces the remote endpoint addresses with the local WSDL address; it cuts the remote WSDL address at the question mark i.e. '?WSDL' is intended to be chopped off, so to create the search term. But because of Spring-WS, this does not work. To break it down: WSProxyService ends up trying to use http://xxxx/xxxx.wsdl to replace http://xxxx/xxxx with http://yyyy/yyyy which fails... leading to actual web service call going direct and not through the proxy. Has anyone ever noticed/solved this problem?? Cheers, Darren

• How do I control when a contextMenuStrip is displayed?

  In vb.net (2008), I want to be able to control when a contextMenuStrip (context menu) is displayed. I don't want it to always appear when the right mouse button is clicked...only when certain criteria within my program are met. I figure I would use addHandler but I'm not exactly clear on how to completely control the opening of the contextMenuStrip. I know I would issue a call to the "open" method to render the contextMenuStrip. However, I am unclear as to how to completely take over control of when to render the contextMenuStrip.
