  • ubi-partman failed with exit code 10 during 12.10 fresh install

    ive been trying to install ubuntu 12.10 on my acer aspire one 534h,using an iso from the official site and a 16gb flash drive using unetbootin. my aa1 is running factory settings (xp). it will boot fine from the usb, but the installation throws the error in the title after choosing my wifi options, and contineus to give the error after every subsequent step. after trying to complete the installation ingoring the error, it hangs on the ask ubuntu screen. ive tried reformatting and reflashing (sorry, heavy android user) ubuntu to the flash drive, to no avail... do i need to format somthing else, or is it something to do with th Hdd and RAID drives? ive looked in my BIOS and found nothing related. only the option for sata or ide... any help would be great, as ive been working at this all day... edit: the error message was ubi-partman has failed with exit code 10. see (gave a directory) for more info. it then informed me that if i continued the install could be incomplete or completly broken. not sure abouth the wording in the second part, but the error is word for word... thank you.

    I added my Gmail address book to evolution, but it gives my an error every time, even when choosing "use secure connection" in the address book options. The error is (I translated it on my own): unable to open address book. This is because you entered a wrong URI or the server is unavailable at the moment. Details: cannot open book: source already loaded! Sometimes, when I click the button 'reject error', it does load the address book but when I return to evolution after a while, it gives me the same error and sometimes I cannot load the address book. This is very annoying since I have to use evolution a lot.

    Hi, If you are integrating with SQL Server and dealing with batch messages, you may encounter this problem. And this is evitable. The reason is the contention of resources. If your batch contains four messages and all the four messages have to be updated to SQL Server and then at the same time four process will contend for SQL server table and resources and the obvious result will be, few of your transaction will be left uncomitted and if you are not handling dehydration [not modifying the default property of the Dehydration] then your orchestration will dehydrate and will go for retry. If retry is set for every five minutes then after five minutes Port will send the message to the database. Reason for writing this post was as I did not want to see so many DEHYDRATED messages. And this was happening as Host Throttling was not set. Thus as soon as the BizTalk Process finds that SQL resources are unavailable it will go and dehydrate that process and process will go for retry. The contension of resources is unavoidable though we can fine tune the Dehydration setting. If you increase the time that an orchestration can be blocked at a subscription before being dehydrated, possibly you will give more time BizTalk Engine to handle to SQL resource availability. At least I solve the problem by fine tuning the Dehydration properties.   • Why won't Ubuntu copy large files to FAT32 flash Drives?

    Since I installed 11.10 I am unable to copy large files (say 1gb or more) to ANY usb drive that is formated as FAT. The file starts copying, but soon an error appears, saying "Unable to Copy" . "Error splicing file: Input/output error". I am able to do it via terminal, using the cp command. I use Gnome3, but the same error has happened in Unity as well. Apparently it works if I format the USB drive as NTFS or EXT3, EXT4. But, for many appliances, FAT is necessary. The problem is also not with the USB port, because it works under Windows. It did not happen before, when I had 10.04 installed.

  • "Directory index forbidden by Options directive" when deleting or renaming folders through webdav

    I am trying to delete folders through webdav but all I get is 403 on the client and "Directory index forbidden by Options directive" in the Apache error log. I enabled "options indexes" for the folder and I stopped getting the errors in either the client or the log, but I still can't rename or delete folders through webdav. Any ideas why I'm unable to edit folders through webdav? I am running WAMP, default installation with Apache 2.2.17. I can connect, create files, delete files, rename them, etc. I can create folders but not delete them or rename them, once they're created. On the access log, whenever I try to delete, I get this: "DELETE /uploads/shahs HTTP/1.1" 301 243 On the error log, I get: Directory index forbidden by Options directive: The Webdav client gives a 403 when trying to delete or rename folders. Once, I added "options indexes," I stopped getting the error message in the Apache error log and the 403 on the webdav client, but now, deleting or renaming does nothing. No error messages, but nothing happens, at all.

I did the configuration part, however the boostrap fails on a network configuration error: 2013-10-29 10:08:49 ERROR juju supercommand.go:282 PUT request failed: BadRequest - XML Schema validation error in network configuration at line 75,18. (I don't actually have a copy of the messages, since they don't appear to be logged in the ring buffer or any log files.) I've deduced that I can use an event / queue for passing messages, but right now, I just use a generic object and cast out the data I want. I also considered using a dictionary. I see a lot of information on this, but they all involve a lot of casting and guessing. Is there any way to do this elegantly and keep strong typing on my messages?

So where do they differ? Or is it that PGP (being a program) is used to generate a PEM message?

    Hi, My Ubuntu 10.10 just crashed, probably due to hardware error (and in the end I was getting errors like Unknown filesystem ..... grub> .., and it went to the GRUB console before I could take any other action). I reinstalled the same version from a USB stick. I had Ubuntu installed with the ext4 file system and I also have the same filesystem in the same hard disk on a different drive. When I try to access my previous filesystem, I get errors: Error mounting: mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda6, missing codepage or helper program, or other error In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try dmesg | tail or so I had some important files in the previous volume ; I don't know how to retrieve them. And what are the chances that I would get the same outcome (hardware error)? Please help me!

  • Common practice in handling bounce message

    At now I mainly create a mail account separately (with different domain name [email protected]) and i add this mail as one return path. So the bounce message will only go to that mailbox and i parse the mail message one by one to check the failure receipent and the error code, then i convert the error code to the actual error message. Finally, the error message and the fail receipent's mail are post to my system and let my system user check the bounce information. Is it a common practice? Since i am worry about the mail other from bounce message have sent to my mail box, that would be a disaster if i parse them without filter them out, but how can i filter out between bounce message and normal mail? Thank you for any kind of help.
