  • Suddenly Facebook API stopped working on Windows Phone

    My code hasn't changed, it was working yesterday or so. I can oauth, get the token but then doing the following: WebClient wc = new WebClient(); wc.DownloadStringCompleted += result; wc.DownloadStringAsync(new Uri("https://graph.facebook.com/me&access_token=xxxTOKENxxx", UriKind.Absolute)); Returns a NotFound WebClient exception: "The remote server returned an error: NotFound." Strange thing is that when pasting that same url on Chrome or IE it does work(PC). Tried on Emulator and on 2 different real WP devices, even pasting the same url on the WP browser. Feels like facebook is rejecting Windows Phone for some reason? Anyone has an idea of what might be happening?

The gadget has to make some statistics like "average", "top vote" ecc... I tried to found some gadget but none allow to begin the wave without previous options.     Is it possible to automatically detect, which certificate was used for signing APK? I'd like to have both debug and release Maps certificates in application and pass valid one to MapView constructor. With such setup I will not make mistake while releasing application - I'm using debug certificate on emulator and my device, then sign with release one before sending app to Market. I was thinking about detecting my particular device or whether debugger is connected but it is not perfect. Maybe some file marking need for debug certificate? Is there any better way?

  • POST Ajax call results in not found using jqGrid and ASP.NET MVC 2 on IIS6

    This is puzzling me. I deployed an MVC 2 application to IIS6 and everything works fine except for my jqGrid calls to get data. All is well on my development machine, but here are the two URLs I'm working with Local dev web server: POST http://localhost:port/Ctrl.mvc/JsonMethod IIS6 (notice https - not sure if that matters) POST https://www.domain.com/AppName/Ctrl.mvc/JsonMethod The latter URL results in a HTTP 404, which is really confusing as all works well on my local machine. The JsonMethod is properly declared with [AcceptVerbs(HttpVerbs.Post)] Let me know if any more info is needed - I appreciate any and all help with this!

  • Problem with the way the Ajax Control Toolkit tab control sets the default submit button

    We have a tab control containing some textboxes for doing a search. When you keypress inside one of the textboxes, the tab control sets the default button to be the button immediately following the tab control. This is fine because that's the search button. The problem occurs after the button is clicked and results returned. Now there is no default button, and keypress does nothing. Any suggestions?

  • Are there any NOSQL-compatible CMS projects?

    This question is partially related to an older question (Any CMS is Google App Engine compatible?) , but is slightly more general. It seems that in most CMS systems, the most fragile failure point is the database. Traditional database implementations scale poorly and will never be able to handle unforeseen spikes of traffic. Since Google App Engine was designed to help even small businesses overcome that problem, I had the same question that was asked earlier this year with less than satisfactory answers. But more generally, where are the CMS projects that support NOSQL databases? Looking over Wikipedia's list of CMS platforms, I see without much effort that only traditional RDBMS are supported by every single vendor on the list. I would have expected to see at least one or two projects handling CouchDB or similar engines. I understand the complexities of implementing a NOSQL solution to a problem that is typically solved using the relations cleanly expressed in any RDBMS, but there seems to be a rather wide market gap. Since databases are, today, easily outsourced to Google, Amazon, and others which use NOSQL models, I am amazed that there are not more projects actively pursuing this path. Am I simply not aware? Can someone please point me to projects that have real momentum that are developing on this path? I'm looking for two things: a CMS that has as its backbone a NOSQL database enabling easy database outsourcing (hosted MySQL clusters and similar solutions are not what I'm looking for) a project that is built to run on either a PaaS architecture like Google App Engine or an IaaS architecture like Amazon EC2 Any pointers in that direction would be most welcome.

May be the hosting provider (bigrock) not allowing that.     I'm still struggling to understand when or how to use a framework such as Zend or Yii. Here's some of the features I'm going to need on my next project and I don't understand frameworks well enough to know where the framework fits into the picture. I won't say exactly what the project is but think about something like Yelp or Merchant Circle, on a smaller scale of course - a directory project. It will contain a search box and links to all and/or popular categories. 1) Autosuggest in Search box. (I already know how to do this using jQuery) 2) Analyze the search terms entered into the search box to determine if they misspelled a word. Offer to correct the misspelling or automatically correct the word and show relevant results. 3) Offer items, links, or ads that are related to their search term. 4) Allow users to determine which fields are shown. 5) Allow users to sort the results however they choose. 6) Allow editing of records on a grid/list view. Post form without refreshing the page. Delete or Add records without going to a different page or reloading the current page.
