• Problem with SIngleton Class

  Hi, I have a prblem with my code. I have a viewController and a singleton class. When i call the method readXml and run a for my program update the UITextView. When i call the clearTextView method the program exit with EXC_BAD_ACCESS. The prblem it's the name of the variable position. This is invalid but i don't change anything between the two methods. You have an idea? • Space Between Table Rows

  This should be a simple problem, but I am have a tough time getting the html to display the way I want it... The problem is the space between my table rows...I don't want space between my rows. I just want my table to look like a spreadsheet with black borders. I am using a datalist and have a table in the datalist control's templates. I have been messing with this for a couple of hours now and I have tried a few different variations of CSS and table attributes. Can anyone tell me where I am going wrong? • Unable to determine the URL to the Xap file

  I started developing a Silverlight (SL) 4 application hosted in an ASP.NET site using Visual Studio 2010. Now I want to change it so that the SL application runs out of browser as if I had not chosen to host it in a web site when I created the SL project. First, I went to the properties of the web application and removed the SL project from the “Silverlight Applications” tab. Then, I went to the properties of the SL project and made sure the “Out-of-browser Application” option was chosen on the “Debug” tab with the SL project selected in the drop list. Finally, I made sure that the SL project was set as the “StartUp” project for the solution. The solution builds successfully however when I try to run I get the following message in an error dialog: Unable to determine the URL to the Xap file from web [web project name]. I'm assuming this is happening because the SL project is trying to copy the Xap file to the ClientBin folder of the web site. Obviously, the SL and web projects are still linked in some way despite my attempt to unlink the two. I have examined each project file in notepad to find any reference between them with no luck. What’s more frustrating is that I can achieve my desired result by creating a new SL application and un-checking the “Host the Silverlight application in a new or existing Web site in the solution” option. I know I could start my project over from scratch to solve this problem however I’m really curious as to what is causing this error. A Google search yielded no results.

• Excel 2007 - "The macro may not be available in this workbook" Error

  We use an Excel sheet that has been protected to prevent modification of it from end users. All in all they are only able to edit certain tabs to add information that will then be used to generate information on other tabs using equations and such. On the tab with the equations, a button is present called "Prep for Internal Hard Copy Print." This button runs a macro that selects the information on the tab, unprotects it, then sends a print job to the user's default printer that contains the unprotected content. Normally this works like a champ. This time around, however, the macro is throwing the following error: Cannot run the macro "FILENAME.xlsx'!MacroName'. The macro may not be available in this workbook or all macros may be disabled. As far as I can tell, the macros are still present within the workbook. This sheet is normally a .xlsm though the user saved it with a different filename as a .xlsx. Also, the macros appear only as MacroName in the .xlsm file and not "FILENAME.xlsx'!MacroName' as it does in the .xlsx. Finally, when I open the .xlsm it asks if I want to enable the macro content while the .xlsx does not prompt for this. Can anyone tell me what's going on with this sheet or know of a way that I can get the macros working in the .xlsx without having to start over with a different sheet?

In Eclipse Datasource Explorer, I can ping the DB and it succeeds. Weird thing is that I can't see the tables from there either. It expands the public schema but it doesn't expand the tables.   Hi, I am trying to create a small facebook app and associate it to a fan page in a tab. I am trying to include an external javascript file in my page and call a method on a button click event. Below is a part of the code <script language="Javascript" src="http://mysite.com/fb.js"></script> <input type="button" value="Click....." onClick="javascript:showDialog();" /> content of fb.js is as below function showDialog() { new Dialog().showMessage('Dialog', 'Button clickeed'); } When I load the tab in my fan page, it shows an error "Cannot allow external script", whereas when I load the canvas url [http://apps.facebook.com/...] directly and click on the button, it works [shows the dialog]. Does script include works only on the canvas and not on the profile page? I have another question though Initially I had the script src as a relative path but it errored out with the same error - "Cannot allow external script". Can't I use relative path for the external scripts?

• Add PRISM Region Manager In Existing Navigation Window

  We have a "legacy" WPF applicaton that is based on a NavigationWindow. The NavigationWindow has a fairly large ControlTemplate that houses a ContentPresenter as so: <ControlTemplate> ....snip... <ContentPresenter x:Name="PART_NavWinCP" VerticalAlignment="Stretch" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch"/> .....snip.... </ControlTemplate> What we want to do is use that ContentPresenter as the first tab and dynamically add other tabs at run time. Like this: <ControlTemplate> ....snip... <TabControl Background="Transparent" cal:RegionManager.RegionName="MainRegion" Grid.ColumnSpan="2" VerticalAlignment="Stretch" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch"> <TabItem Header="Nav Window Content"> <ContentPresenter x:Name="PART_NavWinCP" VerticalAlignment="Stretch" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch"/> </TabItem> </TabControl> .....snip.... </ControlTemplate> Then our Modules grab the RegionName and insert their content dynamically. The issue seems to be that the PRISM region manager doesn't like that our code is in a ContentTemplate and cannot resolve the region. I have tried updating the RegionManager, adding the Region dynamically, just having a root tab control without the ContentPresenter, but I cannot get this to work. Any ideas?

Selecting date from dropdown panel works. Also, Tab does not keep value (reset to previous one), but with help of this I can fix it. But I don't know how to make Enter to accept value and preferably move to next cell. I also tried third-party date picker, no changes - same issues with Tab and Enter. Seems like a DataGrid issue. I use Silverlight 3.

• Logging Into a site that uses Live.com authentication with C#

  I've been trying to automate a log in to a website I frequent, www.bungie.net. The site is associated with Microsoft and Xbox Live, and as such makes uses of the Windows Live ID API when people log in to their site. I am relatively new to creating web spiders/robots, and I worry that I'm misunderstanding some of the most basic concepts. I've simulated logins to other sites such as Facebook and Gmail, but live.com has given me nothing but trouble. Anyways, I've been using Wireshark and the Firefox addon Tamper Data to try and figure out what I need to post, and what cookies I need to include with my requests. As far as I know these are the steps one must follow to log in to this site. 1. Visit https: //login.live.com/login.srf?wa=wsignin1.0&rpsnv=11&ct=1268167141&rver=5.5.4177.0&wp=LBI&wreply=http:%2F%2Fwww.bungie.net%2FDefault.aspx&id=42917 2. Recieve the cookies MSPRequ and MSPOK. 3. Post the values from the form ID "PPSX", the values from the form ID "PPFT", your username, your password all to a changing URL similar to: https: //login.live.com/ppsecure/post.srf?wa=wsignin1.0&rpsnv=11&ct= (there are a few numbers that change at the end of that URL) 4. Live.com returns the user a page with more hidden forms to post. The client then posts the values from the form "ANON", the value from the form "ANONExp" and the values from the form "t" to the URL: http ://www.bung ie.net/Default.aspx?wa=wsignin1.0 5. After posting that data, the user is returned a variety of cookies the most important of which is "BNGAuth" which is the log in cookie for the site. Where I am having trouble is on fifth step, but that doesn't neccesarily mean I've done all the other steps correctly. I post the data from "ANON", "ANONExp" and "t" but instead of being returned a BNGAuth cookie, I'm returned a cookie named "RSPMaybe" and redirected to the home page. When I review the Wireshark log, I noticed something that instantly stood out to me as different between the log when I logged in with Firefox and when my program ran. It could be nothing but I'll include the picture here for you to review. I'm being returned an HTTP packet from the site before I post the data in the fourth step.   Hi, I have multiple CSV files which I need to parse in a loop to gather information. The problem is that while they are the same format, some are delimited by '\t' and others by ','. After this, I want to remove the double-quote from around the string. Can python split via multiple possible delimiters? At the minute, I can split the line with one by using: f = open(filename, "r") fields = f.readlines() for fs in fields: sf = fs.split('\t') tf = [fi.strip ('"') for fi in sf] Any suggestions are welcome.

  First, so you know, Silverlight 4 and VS 2010 both RC and RIA services. I'm also new to Silverlight... I have a page that has a Telerik RadTabControl on it. It will always have six tabs, i.e. the number of tabs is not data driven. The tabs are used for various admin functions. One tab for managing users with a grid and edit view, another that will have basic company info - just a few text boxes on it. The other tabs are similar to these two. I'm trying to use MVVM and can't decide on the best approach. I don't think I want one big ViewModel that handles all six tabs - that would be big, ugly and harder to maintain. Any recommendations for approaches on how to break this out? Perhaps have a ViewModel for each tab? If so, how would I (generally) go about implementing something like that? Or is there another approach that makes more sense? Thanks, Jeff

  One of my methods sends a message to an object (what do you know about that), and expects a BOOL for an answer. However, BOOL answer it is expecting is based on the answer to a UIAlertView created in the receiving object's method. However, the code doesn't pause while waiting for the user to answer the UIAlertView. My problem is: how do I use -alertView:clickedButtonAtIndex in the method's return value? What is the easiest way to check if my currentHeader is in my Headers array and in my checkString String? I can do it but not in less than 20 lines of code.   Hi I am using jquery 1.3.2 and asp.net mvc 1.0. Originally I was using some other rich html editor but I ran into one major problem when a user pasted in text from open office or MS office it would bring along tons of styling junk. If a user like wrote one sentence what was like 25 characters and pasted that into my current html editor the count would 25,000 characters and I don't want to store all that junk( I can't afford to). So tinyMCE seems to not have this problem. However I got some questions. It seems if you want to use for commercial use(what my site is but currently is not making very much at this time) you need to get a commercial license. However it does not say if it is free or if it will cost money. I am assuming it means that you will have to pay but I would like to confirm this. So do you have to pay for a license to use tinyMCe if your using it for commercial use? (Yes/ No) ------------------ Answer the following questions if you said "no" to the first question ----------- So would I use the jQuery package then or is it better to use the other versions? What is this .net compressor zip for? Do I need it? I only want a few of the buttons(like bold,font size) can I remove the other buttons? It seems to display a word count. I've generated a keypair thus: $ keytool -genkeypair -alias tomcat -keyalg RSA -keystore keys Next I generate a certificate signing request: $ keytool -certreq -keyalg RSA -alias tomcat -keystore keys -file tomcat.csr Then I copy-paste the contents of tomcat.csr into a form on Thawte's website, asking for a trial SSL certificate. In return I get two certificates delimited with -----BEGIN ... -----END, that I save under tomcat.crt and thawte.crt. (Thawte calls the second certificate a 'Thawte Test CA Root' certificate). When I try to import either of them it fails: $ keytool -importcert -alias tomcat -file tomcat.crt -keystore keys Enter keystore password: keytool error: java.lang.Exception: Failed to establish chain from reply $ keytool -importcert -alias thawte -file thawtetest.crt -keystore keys Enter keystore password: keytool error: java.lang.Exception: Input not an X.509 certificate Adding the -trustcacerts option to either of these commands doesn't change anything either. Any idea what I am doing wrong here?

I want the macro to run after I tab out of $testname$. I want to be able to just write the test name in a single line of text with spaces, and then the Macro turns all the spaces into underscores. Is this possible?

• How do I keep Visual Studio's Windows Forms Designer from deleting controls?

  With several forms of mine, I occasionally run into the following issue: I edit the form using the designer (Visual Studio 2008, Windows Forms, .NET 2.0, VB.NET) to add components, only to find out later that some minor adjustments were made (e.g. the form's size is suddenly changed by a few pixels), and controls get deleted. This happens silently — event-handling methods automatically have their Handles suffix removed, too, so they never get called, and there's no compiler error. I only notice much later or not at all, because I'm working on a different area in the form. As an example, I have a form with a SplitContainer containing an Infragistics UltraListView to the left, and an UltraTabControl to the right. I added a new tab, and controls within, and they worked fine. I later on found out that the list view's scrollbar was suddenly invisible, due to its size being off, and at least one control was removed from a different tab that I hadn't been working on. Is this a known issue with the WinForms Designer, or with Infragistics? I use version control, of course, so I can compare the changes and merge the deleted code back in, but it's a tedious process that shouldn't be necessary. Are there ways to avoid this? Is there a good reason for this to occur? One clue is that the control that was removed may have code (such as a Load event handler) that expects to be run in run time, not design time, and may be throwing an exception. Could this cause Visual Studio to remove the control?

• How to avoid OLEDB converting "."s into "#"s in column names?

  I'm using the ACE OLEDB driver to read from an Excel 2007 spreadsheet, and I'm finding that any '.' character in column names get converted to a '#' character. For example, if I have the following in a spreadsheet: Name Amt. Due Due Date Andrew 12.50 4/1/2010 Brian 20.00 4/12/2010 Charlie 1000.00 6/30/2010 the name of the second column would be reported as "Amt# Due" when read with the following code: OleDbConnection connection = new OleDbConnection( "Provider=Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0; Data Source={0}; " + "Extended Properties=\"Excel 12.0 Xml;HDR=YES;FMT=Delimited;IMEX=1\""); OldDbCommand command = new OleDbCommand("SELECT * FROM MyTable", connection); OleDbReader dataReader = command.ExecuteReader(); System.Console.WriteLine(dataReader.GetName(1)); I've read through all the documentation I can find and I haven't found anything which even mentions that this will happen. Has anyone run into this before? Is there a way to fix this behavior?
