• Glassfish module deploy fails with "In-place deployment" error message

  It was my first time to use Java EE and I am having an error everytime I run my html file. This is the error I am seeing: In-place deployment at C:\Documents and Settings\scybermonde\My Documents\NetBeansProjects\Exercises\build\web deploy?path=C:\Documents and Settings\scybermonde\My Documents\NetBeansProjects\Exercises\build\web&name=Exercises&force=true failed on GlassFish Server 3 C:\Documents and Settings\scybermonde\My Documents\NetBeansProjects\Exercises\nbproject\build-impl.xml:683: The module has not been deployed. BUILD FAILED (total time: 1 second) What was wrong if I am receiving an error like this? I also tried to deployed it referring to what it said in the later part "The module has not been deployed" but still the same error appears... please help... thanks in advance :)

• Android Programmatically created Button Persistence

  So in an app I'm messing around with I programmatically create some buttons. Then I setContentView(); to a different page. Then if I come back to the original page (on which I placed the programmatically created buttons), they no longer exist. I guess this makes sense as I am calling setContentView(R.layout.main); again which is just the original xml file with no data pointing to the buttons. So is there a way to have the buttons persist over such screen transitions? Thanks.

  Hello, I have "BackUpContacts.db" database in SQLiteDatabase, it has a table named "ContactInfo" with column names ContactId, ContactName, MobilePhone1, MobilePhone2, OfficePhone1, OfficePhone2, OfficePhone3, HomePhone1, HomePhone2 and TokenId. What i want is to transfer all data of "ContactInfo" table to the mysql database system at some server (means server has also a table similar to "ContactInfo", where all data of "ContactInfo" will be copied). The last important thing which i want is that, whenever i want to get contacts(of a specified TokenId) i can backup all those from server to the mobile device in an xml file. in short, can here anyone help me how to transfer sqlite db to a web server?

I have the following Bean: public class MyEntry { private String entityID; public String getEntityID() { return this.entityID; } public void setEntityID(final String entityID) { this.entityID = entityID; } } And the following XML structure: <entries> <entry> <MyID> 24309LAGH1 </MyID> </entry> </entries> I use the addSetNestedProperties(…) method of the digester API: digester.addSetNestedProperties("entries/entry", "MyID", "entryID"); The following exception occurs: java.lang.NoSuchMethodException: Bean has no property named MyID Why is digester searching for a property named “MyID”? [ERROR] Errors in 'file:/D:/projects/eclipse/workspace/.../src/com/.../client/ProfileServiceAsync.java' [ERROR] Line 11: No source code is available for type shared.Profile; did you forget to inherit a required module? Any ideas on this?

  I need to create a pdf file with several chart created by ggplot2 arranged in a A4 paper, and repeat it 20-30 times. I export the ggplot2 chart into ps file, and try to PostScriptTrace it as instructed in grImport, but it just keep giving me error of "Unrecoverable error, exit code 1". • Can I include both Apache Axis 1 and 2 libraries in the same project?

  If it sounds like a ridiculous idea then it is. The client only wants to have to install one project on their server. Our web service will be bridging between mobile phones and various SOAP services made in .NET, Apache Axis 1 and 2, which rely on standards to transfer files such as MTOM and DIME. I am looking for an 'architecture' trick, such as develop the Axis 1 calls in a separate project and compile as a jar, to then pass it into the Axis 2 project.... Hmmm. Anything rather than having to download the source code for Axis 1 & 2 and compile them using the same xml libraries, etc. "It can't be done" is an acceptable answer. Thanks!

• How to dynamically load and switch the resource file in the web app (ASP.NET) without recompiling ?

  I would like to store the resource files (containing texts for labels etc.) for my web application in the database to be able to edit and create them dynamically later (probably in the UI). My idea was to store the whole resx file in an xml column and simply load it on demand - depending on the language and some other attributes of the current user when he is logging into the application or switching the context. The important thing is that the resources do not only depend on the culture info of the user but also on some context information that can be switched by user without logging off and on again (in our case called "group", not having anything to do with a group of users). Is it possible somehow to load the contents of the resources from an external source and simply switch them without web application being recompiled by the server ? I know that there are some interfaces on which I could hook up and implement a custom resources provider which reads from the database directly but if it could work somehow with the resx files it would probably make things a lot easier..

  A page on a site I use is holding some of my data hostage. Once I have logged into the site and navigated to the right page, the data I need is in the array eeData[] - it is 720 elements long (once every 2 minutes of a given day). Rather than simulate the requests to the underlying stuff json supplier and since its only once a day, I am happy to simply develop a bookmarklet to grab the data - preferably as a XML or CSV file. Any pointers to sample code or hints would help. I found a bookmarklet here that is based on this script that does part of this - but I am not up to speed on any potential JS file IO to see if it is possible to induce a file "download" of the data, or pop it opn in a new window I can copy / paste.

• ImageView Force closes my application

• Objective C: Can't find .js file in my mainBundle?!

  This is driving me crazy as I cannot figure out what in the world is going on. I load up files form you main bundle all the time, xml files, html files, etc. But, now I am trying to get the contents of a javascript file but it can never find it. I am using: NSData *jsData = [NSData dataWithContentsOfFile:[[NSBundle mainBundle] pathForResource:@"global" ofType:@"js"]]; if (jsData) { NSLog(@"%@", jsData); } else { NSLog(@"Can't find file"); return; } Even checking the [[NSBundle mainBundle] pathForResource:@"global" ofType:@"js"] string returns null. My activity.js file is in my Resources folder, the exact location where my other files are location that work totally fine using the above method. Why can't it find my js file?

  Hi all, i am writing a software that i have to drill down on content a lot. For example when the program starts a listview is displayed. When user clicks on an item, then a second listview must be displayed. For example: Select Continent Select Country Select State Select City Select Address What is the best way to do this (less memory, faster, easier to code etc)? To create multiple listviews with multiple adapters? Or 1 listview with multiple Adapters? Lists are loaded from an external XML File. So far i am creating a new adapter and setting it to the listview. How do i create a second listview and after clicking on 1st listview displaying the second one, with animation. Any examples?   Hi, Does anyone know any Flash fla's which are out there and free which do something similar to http://audiomap.tuneglue.net/ (you have to type in a search term to see it in action). What I'm after is the flash to create the node in the middle which expands out into children and then each of those children can be expanded out into more children, etc. while keeping their distance from one another so as to not overlap. I'd like it so that if you clicked on a node to expand it, it would shoot off to a web site and get an xml feed which could then be used to create the children. Thanks

• How do I tell Entity Framework that a column in a view is nullable?

  I have a view which has an Int column which is nullable (let's call it StackOverflowCount). When generating an EF model from the database, the EF designer does not recognise it as nullable and creates the column as an Int. The issue I have is that on the EF designer I have set the column to Nullable and the following error then kills the compilation; Error 3031: Problem in mapping fragments starting at line 2327: Non-nullable column MyView.StackOverflowCount in table MyView is mapped to a nullable entity property. I can get round this by opening the .edmx file in XML mode and manually editing the SQL column definition, but there is no way to do this using the designer and it gets overwritten the next time I refresh from the model from the DB. Is this 'by design' or an example of something that slipped through into EF 4.0? I'm using .Net 4.0 with EF 4.0 under VS 2010.

• Is dynamic evaluation of xpath variable string possible using .net 2.0 xslt implementation?

  Hi, I'm trying to evaluate an xpath varable I'm building dynamically based on the position of the node. I can create the xpath string in a variable but when I select the value of this just get the string and not the node set I need. I use the following to create the xpath <xsl:variable name="xpathstring" select="normalize-space(concat(&quot;//anAttribute[@key='pos&quot;,position(),&quot;']&quot;))"/> and try to output the value with the following. <xsl:value-of select="$xpathstring"/> If I execute the xpath in my debugger I get the nodeset but in my xml output only get the xpath string which looks like this //anAttribute[@key='pos1'] I had a look at exslt dyn:evaluate which seems to enable this but this seems to be only supported by certain processors and doesn't provide a standalone implementation or at least as far as I could see (currently using the standard .net 2.0 xslt whihc is only xslt 1.0 as far as I recall) Is there anyway to handle this without changing processor?   I have an array that is many levels deep and I am wondering what is the best way to get one of the child element values that is deep in my array. I assume I need to use a recursive method, but what is the best way to do this? Or is there a faster way to do this? The array comes from an XML Parser that I am using which builds everything into an array like this (using NSLog to show the structure): { children = ( { children = ( { children = ( { children = ( ); data = 12; element = AssetID; } ); data = ""; element = "ns1:GetUserIdByUsernameResponse"; } ); data = ""; element = "SOAP-ENV:Body"; } ); data = ""; element = "SOAP-ENV:Envelope"; } What I would like to get at is the AssetID data, which in this case is 12.

  I am employed as a Software Engineer with a background in C# and .NET. I am trying to interface with an web API. I asked for help because I didn't know to connect to it or handle the results. Someone told me that I shouldn't consider myself a Software Engineer because I didn't know to how to do it. They said the API was well documented, required no authentication, and returned XML that I could easily parse. They said the documentation should be enough to figure out how to use the API. Isn't having a job title of Software Engineer the only consideration for being a Software Engineer?

  I have installed the application on the client's server. Here's the issue though.. The client's server is running on medium trust. With medium trust godaddy does not give persmissions to certain files. If you go to the following URL : http://helpingyougethired.com/Introduction.aspx you will see the error : Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Practices.ObjectBuilder. If I delete the "Microsoft.Practices.ObjectBuilder.dll" and "Microsoft.Practices.ObjectBuilder.xml", the pages load. But when I try to save the form, I get some error related to this dll. So I need to find an alternative for this dll. I cannot use this DLL. my save, delete, select process is depend on this dll plz provide any solution if u have. thanks in advance

  I am working with the sample Home application project on http://developer.android.com/resources/samples/Home/index.html I've added another value to the THUMBS_IDS and IMAGE_IDS Integer arrays in the Wallpaper class for a total of four wallpaper options. When I run the application with Device API version 7, Skin: HVGA, hw.lcd.density: 160, in portrait layout, the fourth wallpaper option is not shown. I need to use the directional keys in the emulator to see the 4th wallpaper option, because the first option is centered. I have modified only the wallpaper.xml file with a variety of android:layout_* options with no success at this point. How do I show all four of my wallpaper options?

• vb express / visual studio - is it possible to run / debug one form only in a multi form application

  hi, I have a vb application consisting of several winForms and code files. Is it possible to run / debug only one form without having to run the whole application? To be more specific, one of the forms in my application is the settings form where the user sets his/her desired options. These options are read/written to an xml file. Is it possible to debug just this one form (and not the whole program) to see if the reading/writing went well, if everything displayed correctly... ? If I am thinking the wrong way about this, could you point me in the right direction? By the way, I am using visual basic express / visual studio.
